My question is easy and short. I work out 3 days a week and i am wondering if i should/need to be taking my whey protein even on my days off. thanks in advances

Whey is just protein, if you get enough from other souces it's not going to do anything.

The only reason to take whey would be that it is quickly absorbed, this is something you want PWO and in the morning. It isn't really going to matter all that much in the morning though, just eat some eggs instead if you don't want the shake.

This will help you find what you're looking for quicker and easier, and put less stress on the older members of the site who have probably answered your question more than once.

2) Others beginners like yourself ultimately benefit from the other thread instead of having to wait (like you) for answers in your new (empty) thread

3) Ultimately, if people searched and bumped relevent threads to the top, we would end up with more quality threads, and not as much "scattered info". Making it easier for everyone to learn, and help others learn which is why we are all here hopefully.
