Alright well I posted earlier about finding equipment for my fathers gym. He runs a full size court and weight room out of his buisness. The former renters supplied plate-loaded Hammer Strength equipment but moved out after 8 years, leaving a void in the room.

After alot of debate we have decided to go with Life Fitness Pro2 circuit equipment. I know you guys probably hate the idea but my fathers very concerned with the safety aspect and liability. I personally wanted Hammer Strength plate loaded but he just talked to my uncle today whos working on a UFC fighters foot which was crushed after dropping a weight on it so I cant seem to persuade him anymore. I still have to figure out what to do about a bench and I know this stuff might seem wimpy but hes going to have alot unexperienced people in there. Opinions?http://us.commercial.lifefitness.com/content.cfm/pro2

Anyways here it goes:
IGX EZ Curl Barbell
IGX rubber dumbbells 5-50 pounds
Chest Press
Lat Pulldown
Seated Row
Shoulder Press
Seated Leg Curl
Leg Press
Leg Extension
Horizontal Calf Raise
Cable Motion Dual Pulley System (Universal cable machine, etc)
Ab crunch (machine)
Leg raise
Seated Arm Curl
Adjustable Bench
Decline/Ab bench
Double tier dumbell rack

I seriously question the dumbbell choice. Who the heck uses 5 lb or 10 lb dumbbells? And why stop at 50 lbs ?

umm...starts with a "w", ends with an "n".

:D

Opinions?

Consult with actual gym owners.

Could anyone give me their opinions on the equipment itself? I have only used it briefly at gym I checked out but dont have the ability to really put them to the test for flaws.

I used those machines exclusively my first year of working out(I switched to free weights in early July). They are great for inexperienced people. The placard explaines exactly what muscles it works and how to do it.

I was using pretty much all of them five days a week. The only one that ever had any problems was the assisted chin/dip machine. The cable would bind up some times. I still use the same machine, I just don't need the assist any more(sweet!).

The ab crunch will see the most use. It's not uncommon to see some one camp out on that thing for 15-20 minutes. The Pectoral Fly/Rear Deltoid
machine is pretty popular too.

I haven't messed with them in over a month, but they seem to be holding up pretty well for a large community rec center. Some cracking of the pads and some rust where they get sweat on some of the welds. They seem to be pretty solid.

I would check out Magnum Fitness line, having shopped this last year for commercial gym equipment, I found their stuff to be a better bang for the buck
http://www.magnumfitness.com/index.php

I actually went to their factory and worked out on everything, I liked it as well or better than the life fitness stuff
check it out and compare

pm me for their email address if you need a contact, but you'll need to find a regional sales person
