Sorry to bug you ladies but I figured some of you might know the answer to my question. Okay I really need a tan and dont have access to a tanning bed and its really been cold out lately. I found some self tanning face cream the other day thats my mom`s and was wondering if i put it on my face, would i break out in a bunch of zits. If you need me to list the ingredients, I will. Thanks for your help.

How old are you? What is the name of the self tanner? Do you have problems with breakouts a lot? One thing you should do is shave, and exfoliate. If you are only going to use it on your face, I would recommend taking some lotion afterward and putting it on your neck and under your jaw and working to blend the self-tanner into the neck area so there is not a sudden dark face and a white neck. Make sure you wash your hands really well when done. I am 29, and have to use REtinA and topical antibiotics because my skin breaks out a lot, but I still use self-tanners all the time. I have the neutregena for the face one and the neutregena and coppertone foam ones for my body. I like winter time because you are covered up and it lets you practice applying the self tanner and if you screw something up all of your skin isn't exposed yet so by the time summer comes hopefully ( I am crossing my fingers) I will be highly skilled at its application, hahaha.

well i just tried it and i could tell from the beginning pimples were starting to form so i took a long shower hopefully itll take all that off lol im not doing that again

I have never had luck with self tanners. They would always turn me a yellowish/orange color. If I had to tan in the winter I would go to a tanning bed. I'm from Fort Wayne....you don't have access to tanning beds? How old are you? If you can drive there are tons if tanning beds in Fort Wayne and I would recommend those instead of self tanners.
