Walked about 1 hour 15 minutes today, and swam about 20 minutes.
Food? eh I've been doing not so great...I nibble on what I can when I get hungry (bread/pb, cereal, mango etc)
I worked this morning on making signs for my sisters bridal shower, so that took up a lot of time, and then I did get a nice nap in the afternoon! :) I think that's what my body needs lately is rest, since we tend to stay up late watching movies...
speaking of...if you haven't seen Memento yet, you really ought to! :)

thanks jewels!
Right now I'm DETERMINED more than ever to get MAJORLY serious for the next 2.5 weeks! My sisters wedding is coming up SO fast!!
So far I've done:
Sunday: Intense mixed workout for an hour (jogging/weights/jumproping)
Monday: Rest
Tuesday: Firm Body Sculpt workout. (added stuff so it was an hour)
I'm going to try to also walk tonight or do about 20 minutes of yoga or pilates and some crunches! I haven't done a serious set of crunches in forever...
-----------
My menu plan the next two weeks will rotate around but will be similar to this:
Meal 1:
Oats/walnuts/Blueberries/flax
Slice of cantalope
Scrambled Eggs (mostly egg whites) w/ salsa
Meal 2: (or whichever meal is post workout)
Protein shake, chopped fruit sprinkled with oats
OR tuna sandwhich on whole grain bread instead of shake
Meal 3: Cottage cheese & cinnamon, 1/2 whole wheat bread
Carrots, celery
Meal 4: Oatmeal/cottage cheese patties with gravy (made with brown rice flour instead of white, low fat milk) Broccolli, boiled/baked potato
Before bed something light...perhaps yogurt or celery with pb...
I'll allow myself 1/2 cup breyers strawberry ice cream or a dryers all fruit popsicle if I really crave it, and for when I start really wanting chocoate, I'll give myself say, 6 chocolate chips to savor.
-----------
I've been having a lot of birthdays to go to lately so there's been tempation all around...even shopping with my MIL i ate way too many cheez its!
I'm so excited to be getting back on program! :)
(forgot to add my workouts I want to replicate like I've been doing so far this week, maybe increase a bit each time)

thanks bootysweat :)
btw i saw your bicep pics and they look great!! you have an awesome tan too!!
(can't remember if i posted that already or not lol)
Ok so this morning I got up and first thing I went on about a 20 minute hike up a steep hill by my house. I did it twice carrying 2) 5lb dumbells and boy did that make a difference! I was WIPED out when I came back.
Breakfast was another tuna/salsa/whole wheat taco, but I also had some scrambled eggs and strawberry's
Plan on my next meal being cottage cheese/oats/eggs/walnuts mixed together and grilled up as patties....with celery and carrot sticks, maybe a small baked potato...
And then the rest of the day follow my previous mentioned food plan.
I was planning on fitting in a hip hop dance and bellydance workout but I just totally crashed my knee into the corner of a wall real bad (has a knot and looks like their is a piece missing from my kneecap??? It hurt worse when it first happened, like I could feel something curling up and into it...but now that i iced it it feels find I think? So we'll see what else I can do tonight depending how my knee feels later :(

Hill walking with DB's huh...good for you. Me I would be lucky if I could carry myself up a steep hill!

Well I ended up catchign a cold around thrusday so I slacked off on my super duper plan...but I'm back on track today! :)
I did about a half hour workout yesterday, and an hour today...
finally noticed my waistline and hips measuring noticeabbly smaller! :)

Ok, I did a really intense well rounded workout lastnight,(cardio/weights/yoga) for oh at least an hour?
Today I walked with a neighbor to jack n the box (I only drank water!) Not sure how long it was, maybe 35 minutes total walking? Maybe longer...
Took a dip in the pool and swam at least 10 minutes, mostly leisurely swimming. Ahhh it was SO peaceful, looking up I could see purple flowers, lots of leaves framing a clear blue sky, and one tiny plane flying by. Water was clean, and no one else was at the pool, peace and quiet! :)
Then I also did about 20 minutes cardio inside, running in place (got a great runners high!) and air jumproping...
I'm supposed to go walking in a few minutes with another neighbor...might be 30 minutes long? I'm not sure.
Food today:
1 egg, 2 egg whites and mixed bell pepper (scarfed it down so i could meet up with my neighbor on short notice)
1 chicken breast 2 celery stalks, mustard, bar b que sauce
grilled mozzerella and tomato with basil and olive oil on a whole grain slice of bread. (2 string cheese worth, 1 tomato worth, tiny drizzle worth)
Planning on having for dinner:
Grilled Chicken breast, baked potato, steamed green beans, 1/2 mango, plain yogurt to put on my potato and some fake bacon bits...little salad...

had a birthday party to go to today and I blew it with cake again! I always think it'll be so easy to say no, but then i see my friend ask me what she thinks of the cake she picked out so I eat it anyways :P Ok so I threw a lot of the frosting part away...and only had a small scoop of icecream...
BUT i felt so sick after, I've got to remember that feeling I get when I eat sugary foods like that.
They only had hamburgers and hotdogs so I went with a hamburger without cheese...
Haven't had a chance to workout today, been scrambling to the store and post office and wrapping, and now off to the inlaws.
But I'm hoping to walk around the marina with my husband and then do a firm workout when I get home. I want my arms to be more buffed up!

Woke up and went for a 45 jog...the last 15 minutes of it being the big hill by my house...
Just grilled some chicken for a sandwhich...
plan on making tuna salad for other meals, and have some cottage cheese and fresh peaches for another meal...of course I'll work my walnuts in somewhere too ;)
Plan on doing my weight routine tonight, and maybe a few laps in the pool to cool off after.

That run worked out the cake, don't worry. ;) I get such a horrible 'crash' after eating sugar now - I even had a bit of lemonade at a friend's house yesterday and was SO tired half an hour later - I just don't do well with sugar anymore.

Thanks Jewels :) I keep telling myself I want to eat just as good as you do! I want to at least try to eat really clean like you do even for a week! It's so hard ...but yet it shouldn't be that hard, I should push away the cinnamon teddy grahms and say "NO you may be cute and cuddly but i will not eat you!" lol
Yesterday I didn't do exercise except a slow walk with the family...did good eating until a midnight snack of teddy grahms and some ghiradelli carmael filled chocolate. (not a lot of it at least)
Today I've done over an hour of an intense full body workout (weights/cardio) I was sweating so much that half my pony tail was soaked!
I've had chicken for breakfast (and half a peach and two corn tortilla's, lettuce, salsa/hotsauce) and then my other chicken tostada for lunch...
I should make a tuna salad later...I'll probably have a bowl of cereal sometime today...
Need to run to the market and get produce, just used up the last of even my frozen veggies!

Just wanted to say I think you are doing a great job. Eating clean can be really hard especially with outside forces. Keep at it, you will do it! :D

Thanks sherdi! :)
Check in today...not much to mention...I've been busy between house work, playing with my daughter, last minute wedding plans (for my sis) and rebuilding a website...
BUT i'm determined to go run/walk for the next hour! :)
Food today:
Whole wheat spaggtti with red sauce
Cottage cheese on bran/honey english muffin with basil
More spaggetti...
tuna salad sandwhich...
another tuna salad sandwhich...
2 bowls of cheerios
I'm dying here without fruits/veggies! the closest I got to getting them in today was the tomato sauce and the pickles/celery in my tuna *blush*

I did end up doing my hour run/walk it was awesome! My hamstrings are really tight today!
Woke up this morning and weighed in at 110.4. WOW I haven't seen below 112.8 in a WHILE so that was exciting!
I'm determined to fit in a Firm workout in today before I leave for vacation today, and hit the weights hard, I'm determined to get bigger biceps ;)
And I'm bringing my running shoes, and wondering how odd it would look if I brought some dumbells on the camping trip...I just want to keep it up and not come back and already be used to not working out and then get off track again...but maybe the canoe trip will be enough of an upper body workout? I can always do lunges mixed in with my beach run for lower body....
I think i'll splurge on some of the plastic packed waterless flavored tuna for my camping lunches next week (better than the sodium filled fake meats my family plans to serve)
I'm going to make more tuna salad for my meals today, and also eat the rest of the eggs before we leave.
breakfast was cereal (rice chex and brown rice puffs) and low fat cottage cheese with applesauce and chopped walnuts.
STILL haven't gotten out to market for produce :/

Thanks Jewels :) I keep telling myself I want to eat just as good as you do! I want to at least try to eat really clean like you do even for a week!
You made my day! What a sweetheart you are! :)
The first weeks are the toughest on a clean diet. You have to get your body over the cravings for those foods by not allowing yourself any. For me, if I know that it's not even an option to have even a little bit of a sweet or bread, then I know that I'm just torturing myself by being tempted. I also find that if you keep track of how many days you've gone without breaking your diet, it's motivation to keep the streak up. :) Not that I don't cheat - but I NEVER cheat on my rules, like no bread or no sweets, and I'm going strong!

Oh yay can't wait to see the pool pics Jewels! I like your ideas, I'm going to make up some rules and start charting how many days I can stick to them :)
I wondered about tai too! I miss seeing her posts!
Booty I did have fun on my vacation, thanks!
We got back wednesday night but man I've still got a million things to do now that I'm back. And I've been sooo tired and keep catching up on my sleep.
I posted a bit about my weightloss in the nutirtion/dieting section. Can't beleive how much smaller I came back!
Today So far for exercise/food:
30 minutes jogging (2 'laps' up my hill and back down) and one around my complex...
Breakfast: 2 eggs, 3 egg whites and frosted shredded wheat
Planned for later...but to be arranged in seperate meals:
Half a peach, orange, green beans, red potato's, onion, TVP, brown rice, soy hotdog and maybe some grits...
Need to run to market and pick up some cottage cheese/yogurt ....and I'll be picking up a bunch of chicken breasts from my moms house that was leftover from the wedding too.
Planning on doing a full body weight routine tonight too, to make up for the long drought from lifting weights this week.

Hi Jill
Glad to hear your vacation went well :)
There it is again everywhere I look you all are eating the damn cottage cheese! Maybe I will give it a try again why brand do you use?
JumpinJill
08-19-2005, 05:42 PM
thanks jewels! I did throw out a bag of crackers, then blindly opened another one up and had severeal over the course of today *hangs head* That's going to be one of my goals though, no crackers except for Wasa brand that don't go straight to my waist. I'm also going to have to just say no to ice cream and definitely any white bread products. We'll see what else I come up with to banish :)
booty I really love knudsen cottage cheese the best, the pink container...(i think that is the low fat one) I've also had no problems with safeway's cottage cheese I think it's lucerne brand, it's a lot more wet with harder chunks where as knudson is more creamy/soft...but those two taste good to me and I can eat alone if needed :) I wish I could recall the bad brands I've tried though! I think once in a while I do get a really salty batch, but that's few and far between :)

Well I'm finally done redoing my website which was keeping me away from posting so much lately.
In the meantime I've been keeping in shape doing this intense taebo workout about everyother day, and I think it's getting my booty back to the shape I had wanted it! (it had started to get flat from neglecting my regular routines)
I just had a tuna sandwhich for a mid afternoon meal...
breakfast was some frosted mini wheats, corn chex, banana..
lunch was mini jelly sandwhiches for a tea party with my daughter! :) But I also ate cottage cheese and pineapple...
Dinner...what to do for dinner...I think I'll make a medly of satueed veggies, chop it up into a soup with TVP for my protein...and have a grilled red pepper and portabella sandwhich! Yes that sounds good!
My exercise tonight, I really want to walk/run since I have been cooped up sick for a bit! I think I'll also do some arm work.

Thanks bootysweat!
I feel sooo bad I've really been working a lot this week, and my workouts pretty much flew out the window :(
I jogged once this week and did a LITTLE bit of weights...
All that lack of exercise is really making my ass turn into a pancake! Ofcourse that's depressing me so I'm going to have to recommit! I was eating FAR too little now that I'm trying to work 12 hours straight some days. It's okay if you want to lecture me on that I deserve it :/ So even though I didn't gain weight from nearly stopping my exercise, I've just gotten flabbier/less muscle, which is to be expected :(
I might just start a new journal from scratch actually! Maybe that would help me kickstart my fitness routine again! :)
I hope everyone is doing good, and hopefully I'll have more time to relax and chat here a lot again! ;)
