I've tried using this, and have seen no effects from it one way or another. I know I'd probably start a holy war about this, but anyone else have an experience where this has or has not worked for them?

Make sure you take it on an empty stomach. I don't think glutamine is a supplement that will give you profound effects. It will stop muscle breakdown if you take it before and after your workout also. My favorite time to take it is before bed.

Maybe if you inject large dosages of it?

Seriously, your body makes glutamine, if it can't make enough you need to get some extra for maximum results. However, unless you are seriously injured or sick then it will do nothing for you.

If you still want to get some extra glutamine, just down some whey. ;)

grazzt - PowerSwede is right, Considerable amount of glutamine when taken orally consume by intestine and never reaches to the blood. (its one of the main factors it doesn't work orally) The peptide form is far better, find a good whey protein (most of good whey proteins have some glutamine in peptide form) instead of taking glutamine. If u want to to see a result by taking glutamine orally, u have to take at least 30 to 50 grams of glutamine.

Although I have no scientific data or study to support my claims, I will say that I always feel less sore after my workouts while taking 10g of glutamine powder a day.

Some people like it and some people hate it. Like Mike said, the results aren't gonna be anything huge but it does provide some benefit to some people. But for others, it won't do anything.

Alot of people hate glutamine and say it's useless. Reason being you have to take shxt load amounts to get it to work. IMO try some Ener-g(l-glutamine) and see how that works for you
