with mono i would take my protein shake and then wait 20-30 min and take my creatine. I dont think it will really make much of a diff. which ever one u do.
I've heard bad things about having it together also. Think it was something bout kidney stones :-\. Anyways, the guy at SND told me to do it 45 mins apart. Oh btw, I've heard creatine isn't water soluble, so does that mean I should drink my creatine/dextrose in water right after putting it together (tough, as I have to travel back from gym in order to do this, so I don't like the idea of starving my muscles off for that long post workout) or should I put it together, workout, then drink it right after? And then maybe do a whey shake at home?

Wow, you really need to use the search button more. Amino acids found in protein is a great way to spike your insulin levels and transport creatine into your muscles along with lowering your cortisol levels, not to mention most shakes contain some sort of sugar. Mix your protein and monohydrate. But dont add water until your ready to drink it. There is contradicting evidence on the time frame of conversion, but once you introduce creatine into water it will turn into creatinine, a useless compound. Creatine is water soluble, if it wasnt youd be drinking it with toluene or something. Just put all your protein, creatine, and dextrose if you choose to use that, in a shaker. When your done working out, empty a water bottle into the shaker and chug.

There isn't really any contradicting evidence against the time frame of conversion, one company has found that it converts into creatinine withing 1-8 minutes, this company also claims that creatinine is bad for your kidneys (which is wrong) and that the creatine they sell is much better (who'da thunk it). All other studies made show that it takes at least 8 hours for the conversion to begin.
Kre-Alk has to be complete crap since they don't have enough faith in their own product so they have to lie about creatine monohydrate.

I've always spooned it into my mouth and chased it with water. No loss of creatine on the sides of your shaker cup. It tastes bad a first, but you get used to it. Anyway, since when have bodybuilders done something because it tastes good?

Take one serving around 30-60 minutes pre-workout and one serving immediately post-workout with protein / Amino's, and ANY carb source to boost creatine absorption. As always, dextrose / maltodextrin CAN still be used, but are not necessary. Gatorade is a good choice, if you want to use dextrose.
Potassium, Sodium, ALA, Chromium CAN also be used, but aren't necessary.
On non-workout days, take one serving first thing in the morning with ANY carb source and one serving later in the day.
