you started with a 5.4 40 and a 13" vert. thats a low vert for that 40. my forty is about a 5.4 but my vert is around 22" - 24".

that does not make sense man???? your vert is way to high for that 40!! with a 22-24 you should be runnin in the 5.1-5.2's

every one is different i guess

i guess that i just have good form jumping even though im pretty slow. you probably had bad form when you jumped for that first measurement.

yea probably... i knew nothing about form even for my 40 yard back then... now i pretty much know all about the form... just need to work on breathing and coming out faster and lower.

Your forty time doesn't have a whole lot to do with your vertical jump. I run a 4.6 and I can only jump about 20 inches. I can't jump ;).

kind crazy... i did dirty bulking for a little while then i went very clean, then just ate what ever and went in a rut for 1 month then started clean for the last 2 months my clean diet is below...i knows its not amazing but im still in highschool and my mom buys most of the food

for training i did WSFSB2 with the VJB plyo program that Kelly made. i just did bth off the programs together

how much did ur squat go up in that time.

and idt u can compare ur vertical to ur 40. idk what my 40 is cause i never tried it but i know my vertical is about 28-29 inches standing i assume ur all testing it standing, around 33 running.

well i got a chart that give a rought guess... and its just rough, its says for me i should run a 4.89 so i dont know?...what type of position in football would you say you are? im going RB

so it says for you 4.71.. But i dont think its a good chart...everyone is different...

Vert has a lot more in common with the 10. Its a pure explosive test. 40 is a speed test.

not sure how Verticals can always compare to 40 or other sprints

1 of the fastest kids on our team runs a 4.5 or so but he admits..he cant jump for ****. he cant touch the rim running and hes 5"8 with very strong legs and overall strength.

hes a beast though and would never question his leg strength..see him on the field, hes always moving his feet and driving through people (hes a RB)

lol i dont play football, im a baskteball player.

EDIT: my varsity football coach at my school always tried to get me to play my freshman and sophomore year but junior year he pretty much stopped asking. id prlly be a pretty good reciever but my school is bad at football, really good at basketball and i love basketball. +they dont have a qb that could get me the ball.

vert and forty are 2 diff things
there are some similarities, but not enough to say with "x" speed you should have "y" vert
