I just got a really cool ebook on creatine and was wondering if anyone wanted me to share it with them. It tells you the basics of creatine, its structure, what it does in your body, and how to take it.

NO-Xplode and Cellmass have worked pretty good for me. I was thinking about starting the full mass stack. Any opinions on its performance?
When I was 16-17 I would cycle stacks of NO Explode, Nitrix, and Cellmass.
This, along with eating healthy and working out vigorously and being very disciplined....did I experience awesome gains. I was decline benching 230.
I went from 6'1" 175 lbs to 6'1" about 190 lbs in about 8 months....then maintained that weight until i went to college....heh

I agree with you on getting more opinions from some of the guys that have tried different brands and can compare for us. You would think this thread would be a little longer...
Cellmass, I don't have an opinion on from personal use but from what I've noticed its very pricey for the amount per serving compared to its competition. Celltech I would just stay away from, you could just buy a cheap mono and probably have the same results.
I'm also curious about the regular mono vs. the cee, anyone have any more suggestions on this? I've been on Cellmass before and I wasn't impressed with the results(size and strength gains were minimal but recovery time improved and it tasted great)
I've never used Celltech but I've heard mixed reviews, some say "too much sugar", which is true 75 grams/serving (It's for an insulin spike for better absorption) but the weight gains you get from CellTech might be from the extra sugar and calories you take in and not from the creatine.
I think it's best just to stick to a MONO creatine or I like Contolled Labs Green MAGnitude. I've only been using it for a couple of weeks but I already noticed more results than I did with CellMass and it's a great value!!
GreenMAG 80 servings/$35-40
CellMass 60 servings/$45-50 (and you have to use twice a day)
CellTech 30 servings/$45-55
Green MAG all the way!!!!

i have been on cell-tech for a while and have only noticed more veins, and a nicer cut, but only 3 pounds gain after two weeks, and **** is so expensive, so im going to intensify my workouts and try optimum pure creatine, its 15 bucks and has way more servings than even the bigger cell-mass

I have to agree with Kill Em All - Micronized Creatine Monohydrate by AST Sports Science is the way to go. I Used Cell-Tech for a while and saw some gains while I was on it, but the huge amount of sugar was really hard on my digestive system and I lost most of the size gains when I went off it. I think the weight gained from it mostly water weight. Creatine is best absorbed when taken with carbs and protein so I generally mix about 5g of the micronized monohydrate with my post workout shake. I did just recently start on micronized version so I will update this in 2 weeks and let everyone know if I find it more effective than standard monohydrate.

SizeOn is the way to go. I use the tabs cause I take them in the morning and thats it, no mix no shaking and I'm not too full so I can take my post protein shake. Definite size/strength increases.

Read the label...im not a Muscletch rep. What ever its supposed to do didnt happen because nothing happened besides a tiny-bit better recovery, and i think they were going for size and strength like most other companies. And if i wanted recovery, Id go with cellmass, something that i know works.

I think he's refering to losing the water weight you gain from sizeON. I think sizeON is probably the best overall creatine product as you get a mixture of a very good creatine combined with a fast acting carb and glycerol monostearate. You should be able to keep any size you get with sizeON, its not going to be anything dramatic. I do notice that the glycerol monostereate helps to improve my strength. Anyone else notice this?

Didnt mean to come off brash. But the way you phrased it sounded like you were talking about AAS. For one you certainly dont need to cycle creatine, secondly you would never lose any gains aided by a creatine product any more so than you would if you werent using it.... its just creatine, probably makes 5% difference at a guess.

No stomach upset, mixes well, no "GRITTY" taste at all, and mixed with some Gatorade powder (lemon-lime) it's like it is not even there.
As for gains:
Been on it for 2 weeks 5grams per serving once a day with no loading dose.
Bench up 15 pounds, squat 20 lbs, and cleans 15pounds. Less fatigue and quicker recovery.
I use Shock Therapy as well for an extra energy boost, but that's another topic.

you don't want your muscles to retain water because then when you cycle it (like you should with every creatine product) your muscles will "shrink" because you are losing the water weight. What you want creatine to do is to allow for a longer energy cycle in your muscles allowing you to lift at your max strength for a longer period of time duh.

What you want creatine to do is to allow for a longer energy cycle in your muscles allowing you to lift at your max strength for a longer period of time duh.
there are two types of bloat people refer to, stomach bloat and muscle bloat, stomach bloat is bad, this means the creatine is drawing water into your stomach where it is no good, muscle bloat on the other hand is a good thing, among other things part of creatine's job is to super hydrate the muscle which gives it a mechanical advantage (makes it stronger), of course you will lose some size when you cycle off, this is normal, but you will reatain whatever amount of lean mass you have built while on the supp. (net gain)
i have put on 24, pounds during my current bulking phase this is of course part water, so i wouldnt tell anyone that i have packed on 24 pounds of muscle, i am now going to cycle off and whatever additional weight i have above the weight before i started the creatine supp is my actual (net) gain.
DUH!

to each his own but i dont see the point in "looking" bigger if it is simply water weight, i like my size to be strictly lean dense muscle, so i use creatine along with other supps to give me a little edge in the gym so i can work out harder and build more lean mass and not simply look bigger but actually be bigger. but like i said, to each his own, we all work out with our own goals in mind.

So one of the workers at GNC mentioned that the capsules of creatine absorb much better than the powder (he pulled some 90% number out of his @$$). Although, I have read nothing about this, anywhere. Cell Mass by BSN. I generally don't like BSN's **** like N.O.Xplode or Nitrix, but cel mass did get me a lot stronger even though it is pricey. And both the punch and grape flavors taste awesome.
Hey guys could you help me out a bit here my friend has quite the gym through to breaking his leg, he gave me No explode, Cellmass, and Zeus. Could i take the three of these together? am just starting out at the gym am 180lbs and slim tonned but want to get some serious mass before summer in a few months, my diet is good getting plenty cal and 300g protien every day and good fats. any help with this would be amazing thanks again G

"So one of the workers at GNC mentioned that the capsules of creatine absorb much better than the powder (he pulled some 90% number out of his @$$). Although, I have read nothing about this, anywhere. I said, then why do they continue to make the powder? He replied that people haven't caught on yet and pills are the new wave, something to that effect. Is there any merit in what he is saying? I don't buy it."
No sorry, haven't heard of that and it is complete bull****. The body needs to break anything it's going to absorb into very small parts to pass through the small intestine wall. Powders are already made up of small particles so they don't need to be broken down as many times before the parts are small enough to be absorbed. So capsule creatine just will take longer to digest and thus be harder to time properly with your post-workout carbohydrates. If it's caplet form it's even funnier. Since all caplets are is powder inside a fast disolving "case".

take as much creatine in as you can lex. Take your animal pump with half a dose of creatine, then after you workout eat a meal. Then squeeze in some more creatine. Drink plenty of fluids.

Size On is the way to go. I have used it and loved it. I have also tried xyience and it gave me great focus and energy but I did not really approve of the muscle mass it had given me, plus it is pretty expensive.

NANO-CREATINE vs MICRONIZED CREATINE
'A Scientific breakthrough making micronized creatine a thing of the past'
Setting new standards in the sports nutrition industry.
?100% Solubility
?100% Crystal Clear
?100% No Stomach Upset
?100% No Gritty Residue
?1250% Greater Particle Surface area than Micronized Creatine
?99.9% Pure Pharmaceutical Grade HPLC Tested NANO-Creatine
NANO-Creatine is made using a process ASN have developed called ?NANO Technology - a revolutionary technology that takes nutritional and sports supplements to the next level.
Absorbs Faster
The smaller the particles of any substance, the easier it is to be absorbed. Your skin, digestive tract and under your tongue contain membranes that are selective in what they let through. Acting like tiny filters, only the smallest of particles will be absorbed straight away. NANO Technology allows this to happen. Quicker digestion and faster utilization is a certainty with ASN?s NEW revolutionizing NANO-Creatine.
Use 1/2 as much as Micronized Creatine
With NANO Creatine because of its small particle size you get 100% bio-availability with no side effects! 100% of the NANO Creatine you take will be absorbed into your body. That?s to say if you spend $80 for 500g of NANO Creatine, 500g will be absorbed and utilised by your body. More than double the amount when compared to 2kg of the standard variety. NANO Creatine is more efficient, of higher purity and more cost effective when it comes to comparing it with Micronized Creatine.

what type of creatine will not give the bloating feel?
I used to take phosphagen creatine mono. years ago and it worked great. However, I bought it again & began using it again last week and it just screwed up my stomach big time. I had to stop using it b/c I was having diarhrea nonstop.
Any recommendations on creatine that's easy on the stomach and will get me results would be great!

ive tried both celltech and cellmass, celltech bloats my stomach and cellmass gave me strength/ size gains with an awesome recovery rate. and cellmass has a much more reasonable amount of creatine in it vs the 10 grams in celltech that doesnt do anything. cellmass is 3 grams twice a day....but now im not sure cuz they just released their new creatine blend so u might wanna check that out on their site or something.

I have tried Creatine monohydrate before from two different companies, and saw no gains! I Read Cellmass description and decided to buy it.
After just 2 weeks using it i have put on 5lbs and I am truly amazed by what i am seeing in the mirror!
Cellmass is a creatine ethyl ester but for me it worked! Cellmass states that it will work for people who have had no effect using previous creatines, which it did for me, obviously as with all creatines alot of water must be consumed during the day but with cellmass there is no need to take simple sugars with it as you do with other creatines so that they can pentrate muscles, cellmass already has a delivery system so its less hassle!
Also if drank before bedtime it helps keep the body anabolic!
In Conclusion cellmass helped me:
1, gain mass and muscle density
2, Increased my strength in the gym and i can squeeze a few more reps
3, helps me maintain an anabolic state while sleeping
4, And finaly it broke through my non responsiveness to creatine!
#1 product IMO!!!

LaBrada CreaLean - this is a monohydrate formula and is a very high grade product. By far the best I've used. Currently I add a scoop of this to my LaBrada Lean Body Shake (post-workout).
Vitargo CGL - this product combines wazy maize carbohydrate with creatine monohydrate. I like it after my workout.

I did a quick skim through and wrote down tally's next products to get a feel for which products people liked the best.
Most Popular (descending)
Size On - 47$, 1290g (2.84lbs)
Green Mag - 40$, 830g (1.83 lbs)
KreAlk - 21$, 120 servings of 1.5g (capsules)
Cell Mass - 47$, 960g (2.11lbs)
AST Micro - 30$, 1000g (2.2lbs)
...
Mono's - 20$, 1000g (2.2lbs)
The most popular was simply "Mono" by far but in terms of a specific brand it was between SizeOn and Green Mag away from the pack at the top then similar number of tally's next to the rest.
Conclusion: Grab SizeOn or Green Mag and if you're tight on $$ (hi college students) grab a mono and some dex.

Ok, I've just gotten into the gym about a week ago after a successful start some two years ago. Anyway, I'm fairly new to the whole body building aspect though I played football as a teenager in high school and such.
Now, at 37 I've put on 120 lbs that I didnt' have when I graduated and it's time to get rid of it. I really enjoy the gym and have been mainly working on my cardio for now but am starting to add in my weight lifting days.
Two years ago when I attempted this and was again very into to the point I had a trainer. She used to bodybuild and even competed years earlier. One particular supplement she suggested to me was Muscle Fuel from Advocare. Aside from what it is and who it's by she said it contained Creatine and Arganine(sp?). She told me to take it 30 mins before my workouts to give me a boost in the gym while lifting and such. After reading several posts back then on this site and wanting to build up I purchased Arge Crush and Cellmass. I still have the majority of both of these that I'm starting back taking. Cellmass as you all have talked about says to take it post-workout.
So I said all of that to ask this...When is it better to take the creatine before or after my workouts or does it really matter? I have a bottle of Mono Creatine capsules from GNC I got. Should I take them before and then do the Cellmass afterwards?
I guess my overall goal in doing all this so early in starting my working out is because I want to try and build muscle all along while I'm shedding the fat. I have been overweight for many years and I know if I just drop the fat it's going to be just a lot of saggy skin so I truly believe if I build it up that there won't be that problem or at least not as bad as it would normally be.
Thank you all for any help and suggestions you can give me.

well, hypathetically, creatine is to be taken as a post workout supplement. but, on the other hand, if u go with a preworkout n.o. supplement, chances are it will contain creatine. but as far as i go, i take my creatine post and w/e n.o. product im on 30 mins before i workout.

is maximuscles Cyclone any good?
I was taking NO-Xplode pre and Cellmass post workout a few months back and saw some nice gains. The taste was good for both of them but I stopped feeling any effect from the NO-X.
Now I've just been using Higher Power Micronized but haven't really seen much gains. I don't know if I'm taking too many supps at the moment but I'm mixing the creatine with so many other things (BCAAs, EAAs, Vitargo) that it all just tastes like **** and I dread my shakes.

I'd have to say it's been working out pretty good so far. I started it about 10 days after a competition, so I'm not going to be able to say that all the weight I've gained so far is due to the creatine, but my strength has gone up in pretty much all lifts, and the white blood has been giving me great pumps... but that only started working after about 7 days of use.
I'm about halfway through both bottles. My journal will be the real dictator of gains, along with my stats, though.

Oh yes. They were under litigation for falsely marketing the "CEM3 Technology", which turned out to not even exist. BSN had to- on their own dime- pull all products that say "CEM3" and replace them in stores. That's why IMO Cellmass is terrible. I took 3 containers of it, never really saw anything past decreased fatigue, and the whole thing turned out to be a delicious Creatine EE, nothing more.

Cell Tech is full of stuff like that. Dextrose, sugar, tons of stuff you just don't need in creatine. You get somewhere between 60 and 70 grams of sugar per scoop. I'm not sure how much of that is other, useful stuff, but it sure seemed like I could have just eaten a bag of candy everyday and gotten the same results when I was on it.

For sure, they add a lot of sugar because creatine is dependent on the insulin spike that is caused by the massive influx of "sugar" for the body to get an optimum absorption of the creatine, if I'm correct.

I like Green Bulge more than Green mag. I had better gains with Green Bulge than Green Mag. I haven't really taken many creatines besides Cell Tech Hardcore (young and stupid), Green Mag/Bulge, and GNC mono (which I didn't finish). So I don't really have a lot of expertise in this area, but I do know which one worked for me out of what I have tried.

Cellmass and buffered Kre-Alkalyn both left me disappointed, so right now Im just taking GNC Amplified Creatine 189 creatine tabs for something different. I honestly havent yet found a creatine which works way better than the others, although I guess at the moment my favorite is technically the Creatine Hydrochloride in the tabs Im on, its at least doing better than the other two did.

i dont know if this supplement would be considered a Nitric Oxide supplement.
or a creatine supplement.
but i think it would be the best because of the Creatine monohydrate,
i get insane pumps and everything flows alot better through my blood vessels, and i think the creatine can have best delivery with this factor
I had always used plain old creatine mono, but I recently started SCI FIT Kre-Alk and I can say that I am definitely impressed with it so far. I would recommend anyone to give it a try

I currently use Animal Pump pre wo and have been very impressed with it as an overall product. I have been told its enough for a daily dose of creatine (it has 3g).
Any suggestions on what creatine to use during the off days and maybe a couple g's post-wo to add to the amimal pump?
Possibly pill form as I live in Italy and its easier to bring over pills rather than tubs...

Thank you all for any help and suggestions you can give me.

sure, use the green bulge on off days and when your animal pump runs out, switch to the green bulge on workout days to finish up. then you can see which you like best. remember though that green bulge is stim free while animal pump is not :)

SizeOn is by far the best creatine out there. During each week, I notice my strength and size improving drastically. The product does work no doubt about it. I used it for 3months and wanted to stay on it but I couldn't afford dishing out $70 Cdn per jug. So I had to stop using it. I missed this product alot. Too bad it is still very expensive here in Vancouver Canada. If it was $40-50 I would buy it again!!

Hello,
I'm a "n00b" with a quick question for the "informed."
I'm aware that SizeOn's recommended dosage is 43g but is this an appropriate figure for someone weighing 140 pounds?
Since I'm a smaller individual should I instead stick to the 0.3 g / kg / d for 5 - 7 days (loading cycle) followed by 0.03 g / kg / d (upkeep?)
I would think the dosage would differ depending on body weight. Is this correct?
If not could anyone inform me as to why this is?
Thanks in advance
Peace!

You are correct that your dosage is smaller due to your body weight.
The reason is because you have less mass to feed, you need less.
This not only pertains to creatine, but every other substance that you intake.

I'm not trying to be a jerk- it just seems like the "mod" didn't care whether or not someone's liver or kidney function is impaired as long as they sell their supplement.
Boo-hoo to me I guess! After all- who needs a liver? Oh wait...
One other thing... Does the "every other substance that you intake" apply to protein powder as well? I intake that- so probably, huh?
If so- whats that formula?
Thanks once again in advance...

your going to get a million opinions on the protein formula so be ready to be bombarded, personnaly i use 2 grams of protein per pound of lean bodyweight per day while bulking and 1 to 1.5 grams of protein to pound of lean bodyweight per day while cutting/maintenance

I have used Cell-Tech for the past 3 years, and I must say it is by far the best product I have used. On average, I gain approximately 8 to 10 pounds within the first two weeks of usage. My muscle pumps are larger and more dense, and I am able to squeeze out those few extra repetitions. The only negative thing I have to say is it does cause a little bloating due to the high fructose content. One way to circumvent this is to wear a belly wrap during workouts. This increases localized sweating, and helps to reduce water retention.

I enjoyed the vitamin shoppe brand creatine monohydrate. Cheap and does the job. Muscle tech products are a waste of money and have way too much sugars and other things that will make you gain fat in it, alot of it, so I dont use em and BSN works great.

One more question. Is it bad to keep changing products and how long after using a creatine product should one wait to start using it again. The Cell tech hardcore box lasts around 25 days.Once finished how long should i wait for before using it again.

I went through a bottle last fall and just finished a bottle of cell tech hardcore. I really like it and experience big gains, I was working my butt off but I am confident that the cell tech really helped. The taste is ok but that shouldn't really be much of a factor for you. I took a pre-work out NO mix with the creatine(BSN NO-xplode or Nano vapor are both good). Hope that helps.
And I forget the exact length you are suppose to wait between creatine cycles but I have been waiting 3-4 weeks. Good luck and train tough!

I've tried kre-alk, green mag and just finished Size On. I was taking Size on with superpump 250 and the green mag with white flood.
I defintely liked the white flood better then superpump. I can take 1 scoop of white flood and get more energy then 2 scoops of superpump.
The Size On and green mag were very similiar in results. The green mag is cheaper though and calorie free allowing more food.
I just bought a fresh tub of green mag and i'm waiting for the white flood to come in hopefully tommorow.
Anyone tried the pillform of white blood?

I've used the BSN stack also. Results were ok, not very impressive for the money you spend. I've had better results with far less expensive products(Controlled Labs)
i know they have refomulated cellmass, it was cee, i cant imagine they would have changed that, but if you go into the bodybuilding.com store and look it up it will give you all the info on the product.

I still have some left over Cellmass(grape cooler flavour)(never used it all-*garbage*) and the label says 3000mg of CEE.
I think they just added Beta-Alanine to the CEE in the new cellmass(The AVPT version)

I tried cheap ass creatine from walmart, Cellmass, MRI CE2 Platinum, and now I am using Nos Ether.
So far I enjoy Nos Ether. I haven't been gaining since I was taking it (slimming down for the summer) but it does give me a good workout in the gym (allows me to get that extra rep in). I take Nos Ether an hour b4 my workout and I use purple wraath during my workout and I'm having tons of energy in the gym.

Hey guys, I bought some CellMass at the local sup store 2 nights ago. After reading through this thread towards the end, I noticed that people are talking about a new CellMass formula.
The one I have says "CEM3" technology
Should I return it and get the new kind.... I am assuming they changed it for a reason, I would like the better version seens how it was pretty spendy.
THanks

if you can, go for it, but chances are, they wont let you swap it out because everyone is trying to sell out the old stuff before they get the new stuff in. There is no price difference between the old stuff and the new stuff.

Anyone tried the pillform of white blood?
i was gonna buy it but i thought the powedered white flood would be better.
that is great, thanks for leaving the feedback :)
Ya, Amazing results. Love it!!
glad to hear it thanks. green magnitude is pretty awesome and bb.com has free samples in the store :)

Prolab Creatine Monohydrate worked great for me. I increased about 20 percent on my Army Physical Fitness Test in the two months I have been taking it. I was able to build up strength and endurance. It is the only suppliment I have been taking lately.
I agree. Prolab Creapure Mono is great. You can 1000g for $20

I'm pretty sure you have the old cellmass.
If there's 3000mg of CEM3(Creatine Ethyl Ester Malate) it's the old.
The new AVPT Cellmass has 4250mg of CEE and Beta-Alanine.
I'm not a fan of BSN , used old Cellmass/Nitrix/NoXplode with sub par results. I havent tried their new stuff.

Thanks for the responses, I think I will try my luck and try to swap for the new....GNC has a pretty lenient policy.
I have not seen much talk about Con-Cret... anyone use it? the GNC dude was telling me that it is amazing.... any thoughts?

Can one take BSN's Cellmass and Cell Tech's Creatine at the same time?
Im planning on buying some creatine next week but first want to make sure that it won't be too much of something or anything...
Cellmass is sold as a post-workout product but its not "creatine" per se, right?
Also, today is my last day on a high-protein (almost exclusive) diet. Could that harm my liver in any way? To jump right in into creatine?
