I was hoping you guys could give me some suggestions on what I might can take to help me with bulking. Im taking a gainer, creatine, and eating 3500-4000 calories a day. Just wanted something to help a little thats "legal" and not harmful. Something that maybe has worked for yourself. Thanks!

A good cutting diet, that's legal and not harmful. Your BF% has crept up and that makes you look more rounded. You will look bigger if you cut down your BF%.

When we get to be 35, Our testosterone levels start to decline, so I've been taking DHEA, I've noticed decline in BF and increase in strength.

strength + calories= mass

I know most here will say no but when I need to add some extra calories and up my weight (and believe me it is hard for me) I take Nlarge or musclemilk I still can't decide which one works better for me but I can say from experience they both work extremely well.

X2.... & mine didn't drop off until about 3-4 years ago, but then they fell like a brick.

I know for myself that I would have to be careful with Nlarge because it would add fat fast!! A friend of mine said he added some mass along with a good bit of fat. I guess you could cut the serving size in half.

Your best way to gain would be to eat. Go heavy on pasta's, potatoes, rice and some bread. These will help you put on some weight. You could also add a little bacon, sausage, and hamburger to help with the bulking process, but be careful with the fatty/salty foods.

Wow! I just looked at the weight gainer supplement your taking. 4 scoops per serving! Yikes. If you took that stuff properly I bet you could put on about 10 pounds in a month no problem. With only 10 servings per contianer you better stock up on the stuff.

Thanks!rather than spending money on weight gainers and supplements, why not simply eat more clean food and keep your calories at ~25 calories/pound of LBM?

I'm not sure how long you've been at trying to gain weight, but when I first gave it a shot, it took almost six weeks of eating between 3500-4000 cals. a day before I saw the scale starting to head up. I then curbed my cal. intake to between 3000-3300 and I got a nice steady one lb. or slightly less per week gain. My point is be patient.

Boiled eggs and whole milk provide a wicked amount of calories with the best amino acid profile you can get.

Elvis may be dead afterall but Vince Gironda is ALIVE, I tell ya...ALIVE. He hides behind the moniker....Blacksmith. All that is missing is the handfull of descicated liver tablets. (sleep alone)

Add grits with your eggs. Add several tbls of good Extra Virgin Olive Oil in your diet straight from the bottle - 120 calories per tbls and a Mediteranean diet all in one. Never forget a very good Post Workout Protein Drink.

Just 3 suggestions to consider.

I think some are misread, he said he is already eating, I know that for me I can eat and eat and eat and it doesn't help me gain too much weight. Adding xtra calories via a supp always helps. I can only eat but so much before I can not fit in anymore.

Gironda once reccomended a weight gainer drink of Milk and Egg protein mixed with half and half cream and a handfull of descicated liver tablets. That advice and your physique....both why the reference there Blackie. Vince was a judge at my Mr. Muscle Beach show. Gotta love a guy who voted for you.

With what you are eating, and along with creatine and a gainer, you should not have trouble gaining any bulk. Anthing that is legal is not going to have any profound effects, and certainly will not live up to any hype they sell you on.

Do make sure you are lifting heavy and have a solid program, though. If you maintain a good diet and lift smart, heavy, and hard, gains will come. Be patient.

Evad...6 years?? I joined my first gym in 1954 and I am not where I want to be yet. Maybe you will be as lucky as I have been. I have never reached my destination but the journey has been fantastic.

when I want to add weight I do heavy compound lifts. Deadlifts are my favorite and so too squats. I go as heavy as i can and keep adding weight progressively. This makes me ravenously hungry. Like a little bear foraging for food. So I eat more and I try to eat lean protein. I supplement with a whey isolate when I don't get the protein through food. And I keep the protein spread out throughout my day with several "meals". I find i don't need mega doses of protein as long as its frequent. When progress slows up, back off a couple weeks and then repeat all over again with more weight.

So: heavy compound lifts + frequent protein

to just gain weight? Eat out a lot that'll do it. But seriously are you just watching the scale to see if your getting bigger or are baseing it on strength/bodybuilding goals. Bulking is not the way to go unless your drastically underweight...which you are not. Your body ( naturally ) can consume about 30 grams of protien every 2-3 hours...any more than that...it goes down the toilet or is slapped on your sides as fat. If you have been eating high protien for many years your body may be able to consume more. I get away with 175-250 grams per day based on my goals at the time. any more than that...I just get fat.

Getting big and fat may impress people with your clothes on....but take off the shirt. Having a big belly is hard to fix once youve put that weight on.

yeah, you are right. I really wasnt looking to get all that fat. Its just a so slow process with-out illegal drugs to make faster gains. How much weight a week should I gain? I have heard 2lbs a week.
