View Full Version : Refitting russian squat program in 2 days

How would you guys go about this? I am going to do front squats for the program. I think i can use the same program but how to constrain it to 2 days instead of 3? I only recently (last 3 months) have done front squats so gains will come quickly on it. And addition to those 2 days i was thinking of adding in a progressive lift to work on my form and a core exercise. So,

D1 Front squat D2 Frontsquat
Clean pulls (?? rep range) Power snatch (?? rep range)
2x10 Back extension 2x10 weighted situps

I am 16 and in high school, atm playing football. I will change up the assistance and progressive lifts after 2-3 weeks. Thanks for the help

just do the routine how it is but 2 days a week

week 1

day 1 80% x 6 x 2

day 2 80% x 6 x 3

week 2

day 1 80% x 6 x 2

day 2 80% x 6 x 4

you get the idea, though I think progression will be much faster if you do the routine for 3 days as it's written.

I would substitute good mornings for back extensions. If you want, you can do the GMs olympic lifting style, with a little hop. There's a video that demonstrates this on the internet somewhere.

If you find this let me know. I've seen it done in alot of Ironmind films, but have not found a suitable demonstration yet online regarding it.
