What's In It?

Serving Size: 6 Capsules
Servings Per Container: 30

Amount Per Serving:

Calories 15
Potassium 100mg 3%
(From 300mg Potassium Aspartate)
Magnesium 400mg 100%
(From 4500mg Magnesium Aspartate)
Zinc 30mg 200%
(From 120mg Zinc Aspartate)

Other Ingredients:
Microcrystalline Cellulose, Kosher Gelatin, Titanium Dioxide.

Basic Information:
Taken from http://bodybuilding.com/store/zima/zmp.html

Zinc-Magnesium Aspartate products are marketed for the purpose of increasing hormone levels and muscle mass. Studies show that these nutrients are integrally involved in a host of metabolic processes including testosterone production, muscle anabolism, and sleep. Years of sales and experience have shown Zinc-Magnesium Aspartate products to indeed have beneficial effects in many individuals. Zima Nutrition takes the concept of targeted mineral supplementation one step further with ZMP Supermax. ZMP stands for a precise blend of the aspartate salts of Zinc, Magnesium and Potassium. When combined in precise ratios, these nutrients have profound effects upon bodily processes and tissues. ZMP optimizes sleep and recuperation and supports increased testosterone and IGF-1 levels. These beneficial effects result in improved strength and muscle mass and an overall better quality of life.

ZMP Supermax is better than those run-of-the-mill Zinc-Magnesium Aspartate products in that it includes Potassium Aspartate as well as pure reacted mineral aspartate salts. Potassium is a mineral that is critically important for muscle function, cardiovascular fitness, and whole body health. Synergizing with Zinc and Magnesium, Potassium greatly increases the real world results seen with ZMP over other Zinc-Magnesium products. Finally, ZMP is one of the only products on the market that actually uses the actual reacted magnesium aspartate salt. You can verify whether a product contains real magnesium aspartate salt by observing the percentage of magnesium in the "magnesium aspartate." If the product contains more than 10% magnesium then it is NOT a reacted salt but simply an inferior mixture. Most products on the market are simply mixtures with 20% magnesium and thus are inferior in bioavailability and overall results. Try ZMP Supermax and find another reason why Zima Nutrition is the best company in the industry.

ABOUT ME:

Age:19

Sex:Male

Lifting Routine:4 times a week (Chest/Bicep, Back, Shoulder/Triceps, Legs)

Cardio:2-3 times a week (2-3 mile run/3 mile bike ride/ 3 mile swim) I like to switch up

Personal Information:
I tend to work 40 + hours a week. I will be heading back to college in 1 month (full time student, 18 credit hours per semester). Having enough time to be able to eat, work, lift, have a social life and sleep is hard to come by, so I hope ZMP SuperMax will help me get that deep sleep that I need and leave my body feeling energized and refreshed in the mornings.

DOSAGE:

For Men: 6 Capsules daily 30-60 Minutes before bed (Try to avoid meals and Calcium before bed)

For Women: 4 Capsules

I will be testing a 1 month supply, 6 caps daily (180 capsules)

GOAL:
ZMP SuperMax will be my first ZMA type supplement. My goal/hope is that ZMP will give me a good night sleep and help me feel refreshed in the mornings. Sleep is an essential key to bodybuilding and due to being a busy guy just like every other bodybuilder out there, I never seem to get enough sleep and feel exhausted throughout the day.My muscles never have enough time to repair themselves either.
I hope ZMP Supermax will allow to me feel awake throughout the day, help my muscles repair themselves a lot quicker, and hopefully ZMP Supermax will even reduce DOMS (Delayed onset Muscle Soreness).
Being an extremely young guy, I really doubt that ZMP Supermax will be able to increase testosterone levels because mine are very high already.

Day:1

Dosage: 6 capsules

Supplement Intake Time Before Bed: Took 30 minutes before going to bed

Food Intake Before Bed: Ate around 2-3 hours before bed.

Details:
I took 6 capsules, 30 minutes before bed. After I took them I took a shower and brushed my teeth. I set my alarm and tried to sleep. I tossed and turned the whole night and got the worst sleep of my life.
I feel like my sleep might have sucked because

I was really excited to test out ZMP SuperMax (first night was a fluke)
It was my birthday weekend, so I was excited about that

Day:2

Dosage: 6 capsules

Supplement Intake Time Before Bed: Took 30 minutes before going to bed

Food Intake Before Bed: Ate around 2-3 hours before bed.

Details:
I took 6 capsules, 30 minutes before bed. After I took them I took a shower and brushed my teeth. I set my alarm and tried to sleep. I tossed and yet again had terrible sleep. I remember looking up at the clock and it read 4:00 am.

Day:3

Dosage: 6 capsules

Supplement Intake Time Before Bed: Took 15 minutes before going to bed

Food Intake Before Bed: Ate around 2-3 hours before bed.

Details:
I took 6 capsules, around 15 minutes before bed. I feel asleep very quickly and slept through the whole night. The only time I woke up was because my mom called my cell phone by mistake (meant to call my dad). Very deep sleep, I did not have very many dreams. I was awake all morning, but got pretty tired in the evening and ended up taking a nap.

Hey R. Dont give up on the dreams yet. I had some pretty crazy ones last night that woke me up twice. Hopefully it is not coincidence. I also had a few beers last night, wonder if that affected it.

Do you know why calcium shouldnt be taken around dosage time?

From what I understand calcium limits the absorbtion of zinc which is the primary component of ZMP.

It kind of sucks not being able to take protein shakes before bed.

None of my dreams have been extraordinary, in fact I do not even remember most anymore. Only when I wake up in the early mornings around 3-4 am do I remember them.

Maybe I should try going to bed earlier. I am avoiding calcium for the most part about 2 hours before bed so I don't know whats up.

Hi :D

I actually kind of like ZMP now. Sometimes my sleep sucks, but as of lately it has been improving and my sleep has been extremely deep thanks to ZMP.
I was going through a long cycle of dreamless sleep. Now my dreams are wicked awesome.

ZMA is definitely worth a try, some people react well, and some don't feel it.

I have been plagued with injuries this month so it is hard to tell, I have been working on form as of now. However, I have been starting to do pull ups everyday and I have gone up from 8 reps to 10 in the past week. I have been losing a little weight and gaining more muscle, so it is hard to tell if the rep increase is from ZMP or my slight increase in cardio (and thus losing some weight).

The ZMP definitely helps recovery and even though my lats are tired and sore each day, they are not as sore as what they should normally be.

Number of days taken: 1 full bottle

Taste: scale of 1-10= N/A
N/A Capsule Form

Sleep: scale of 1-10= 9
My first few nights were very hard to fall asleep. I really am not used to taking 6 capsules before bed. This was also my first time with a ZMA type product and I was a little nervous and had some important things going on.
After a week or so sleep kicked in big time.

Dreams: scale of 1-10= 9
Dreams seemed to hit me every other night. I had a week straight where they were nightmares. My dreams were extremely vivid and at one point very thought provoking. Although they were times when I had nightmares I remained asleep instead of usually waking up in a sweat, which is cool because I still got that deep sleep.

Results: scale of 1-10=7
I did not set my expectations high as far as the weight room was concerned. Surprisingly, ZMP Supermax did help somewhat in the weightroom. I had more energy than usual. ZMP Supermax would be very beneficial to early morning lifters in my opinion.

Overall: scale of 1-10= 8
Overall, I really enjoyed ZMP Supermax.
What I liked:
Feeling Refreshed in the mornings
Vivid Dreams
*Secret HangOver Cure (Take before going to bed, it helped reduce headaches)
Feeling Awake throughout the day
No waking up in the middle of the night

What I did not like:
Taking 6 capsules before bed!
A lot of other ZMA products have you taking fewer capsules before bed or even drinking a mix before bed. I can handle 6 capsules no problem, but a few nights I swear I could feel the 6 capsules slowly going down my throat. I know some people hate taking a lot of pills so it could be a potential problem for them.

Neutral:
My workouts. They weren't really improved much. I was taking Preworkout supps, which help minimally as well, but I really did not put up any new impressive PR's or gain a lot of muscle.

Thank you ZIMA for allowing me test your product out. This was my first ZMA style supplement and I will be using more in the future!
