Ok... I know that it is important to pump up to get that massive look while being ripped.. However, is important to know that some body parts can lose their lines and definition from over pumping.. My question is: What about the biceps? I mean, I try not to pump up my triceps too much so that striations can be seen.. But for the biceps, there are not many striations Ive seen out there in bodybuilding.. Maybe some lines and veins, but wouldnt even over pumping the biceps be ok? I think that it adds the mass appeal to many poses and judges don't look that hard at the inner detail of a biceps.. They look for the peak, lines separating the biceps and brachialis... But I find that mass of the biceps is more important, while definition in other body parts is more important.. Some thoughts...

It's my opinion that you use posing to pump up your muscles. I just start going through my mandatory poses prior to going on stage. That seems to fill muscles out "just right". Plus, it keeps me from wasting too much energy backstage.

when i train my bi's heavy i lose the the definition from the inside of my arm. (the seperation between the bicep and tricep) My arm may measure bigger but it looks smaller due to the lack of definition. Back stage i pump them lightly to get the blood in them but not so much to lose the detail.

Good points... I'm just not sure yet, I'm still trying to figure it out...
