Stats

Age - 19 (can't figure out why profile says 22)
Sex - Male
Height - 6' 2''
Weight - 186 lbs
Body Type - Mesomorph

Training Xp

I trained throughout highschool while playing football and basketball. I wasted time in the gym though, and was pretty lazy. My senior year after football, I got really unmotivated and stopped lifting and didn't tryout for basketball. I went from 220-242 in about 8 months and finally realized how out of shape I was. Since last september I've lost almost 60 lbs and I am currently 185. I'm more confident and feel healthier. I've been training seriously for over a year now.

Work Out:

Monday - Legs
squat/leg press - (3 sets, 10x8x6)*
calf raises - *
leg curls - *
dead lifts - *

Tuesday - Chest/Tris

incline barbell/dumbell - *
decline barbell/dumbell - *
flyes - *
skull crushers - *

Wednesday - Cardio

Thursday - Bis/Back/Abs

pull ups - *
hammer curls - *
lat pull down - *
cable rows - *

Friday - Shoulders/Forearms
shoulder press - *
arnold press - *

Wanted to thank Designer Supps for letting me test their new product. I'm sincerely sorry for the delay, and will try my best to make up for it with a great log. I actually started on monday, I've just been busy taking care of some things, although that is no excuse.

Here's my workout from tuesday, I started on monday but didn't lift that day. Today was an off day and I was doing yardwork. Here's tuesday's workout....

Starting Weight: 185.5

BB Chest Press

175x8
185x6 (-)

Cable Crossovers
25x10
30x8
35x6

Incline DB Press
50x10
55x8
60x6

Dumbell Flies
35x10
40x8

57.5x8

Cable Pushdowns
50x10

Notes:

Yesterdays workout was pretty ****ty. I've been off rag for 2 weeks, and also didn't lift last week on vacation. I felt weak, and I became extremely fatigued really fast. I honestly just didn't feel like being at the gym and was happy when it was over. Today I'm also extremely sore.

Nothing else to report.

Looks good man! keep those calories up and you'll be a beast in no time!

I was having problems with my lower back/hip flexors a couple of years ago because I was squatting/deadlifting heavy, as well as teaching spin classes. I stopped the spin classes, stopped deadlifting, and took a break from squatting and things got better. I find that due to my height squatting isn't practical. I end up with a sore lower back/hip flexors and I can't get enough weight on to really challenge myself and impose enough of a load. I switched to front squats and they feel WAY better on my back and they keep your body very straight, while allowing you to go deeper than with regular squats. The only problem is that it is really hard to hold enough weight with front squats, and going over 2 plates can be uncomfortable. Deadlifts I'm starting to do again but i'm not going to go very heavy. I'm planning on sticking to a weight where I can do 10-15 reps (just barely) and not push it much higher. I think that doing these things has helped my back/hip flexors a lot. I don't know if it will help your hip, but I thought I would share.

Thanks for stopping by. I've always had really bad back pains, I forget the scientific name but basically my spinal chord is curved more than it should be...My doc said I'll probably have really bad back problems in the future :(...

Not much else to report yet, no increase in acne or anything. One thing I noticed that I don't really know how to explain this but sometimes I've been getting really anxious & nervous, anyone else notice anything else like that?

I've noticed it before, but it seems a little more prominent since I've been on xtreme, I think it might have just been because I've been really tired lately. I felt fine yesterday after I got a good 8 hours of sleep.

I can't really explane it with ActX, except maybe a weird reaction to R.R. Possibly some thyroid modulation due to SHBG binding leading to increased effect at the beta receptors of stims.

With stims it is clearly expected.

Sorry for not updating yesterday, I work akward shifts (like 130-10) so I'm busy in the mornings doing chores and trying to workout. Anyways here's my workout:

Workout:

Leg Press
270x10
365x8
455x6 (+)

Seated Calf Raises
90x10
90x8
90x8

Seated Leg Curls
100x10
115x8
130x6

Notes:

Yesterdays leg workout was a really good one, my legs are killing me now, but felt pretty powerful during my workout.

I noticed some people have been doing 1 week updates but I don't realy have any huge updates yet, although there's been a couple things I've noticed:

-Increased oiliness, and small increases of acne in my face/shoulders.
-I guess you could say my libido is up, at work I've caught myself flat out staring at chicks for a long ass time.
-I've also feel like I'm under a lot of stress or something, and have had some moments of anxiety.

Other than that not much, I forgot to weigh myself yesterday so I'll get a weight update after my workout today after work.

Todays chest workout was better than last weeks but still not amazing. I was happy that I was able to do 75x6 on the DB chest press because I usually get weaker when I switch from dbs or bbs. Strength and endurance was pretty good overall, disappointed that I'm down to 184 :(.

Sorry for the lack of updates, my internet was down the last 2 days. I did cardio on tuesday and chest/tri's yesterday. I'm gonna go to they gym right now, and I'm gonna post up yesterday's workout right now.

Notes:

I was disappointed in yesterdays workout. Partly because I was rushed because the Y was closing, and partly because I was expecting more strength wise. I was up to 191.5, but this was later in the day after dinner so I don't know how useful that is.

Going to they gym and should be back with another update.

Yes back to school :(. I honestly probably have more free time at home than I do at home because I work 40-50 hrs a week. I'm in pre-pharmacy right now but thinking of switching to sports medicine with a minor in nutritional sciences.

Notes:

Another good workout today. I usually don't look forward to shoulders because I rarely have strength increases or get pumps. Usually I just feel like I've wasted time after a shoulder workout. Today was different though, I had some good pumps, strength/endurance was good and my shoulders felt worked afterwards.

Ok finally back and running. Between getting ready to go back to school, and my ****ty ISP, I've been having problems. Anyways, I didn't do legs on monday because I played 5-5 bball full court for about 2 hrs . Here's my chest workout from yesterday. Today I'm just doing some sprints in my backyard.

Notes:

Really awesome workout yesterday. Finally nice to see some strength gains. I through in a couple new lifts and didn't go over the top with weight, but I still had some amazing pumps. When I was doing dips I felt like seeing how many I could pull off, and I did 20 which is a new record for me. Afterwards my tris were done.

3rd Week Updates:

-Acne & Oiliness has subsided.
-Libido always high.
-No more stress/anxiety.
-Strength finally increasing, weight is still up
-Haven't noticed an increase in appetite, I'm always hungry anyways :D.
-Noticing that I'm leaning out a little, and my muscles feel harder/fuller.

Very unusua pumps today. After my first set my arms were already jacked. My abs are also on fire today. It seriously felt like I was back on NO limits today. Other than that no much else noticed. I'm thinking of mixing it up a bit on my lifts, I feel like I'm plateauing. It's like the lifts aren't extremely hard, but I can't go up any more weight and get the reps I'm looking for :(.

That would be a pretty bomb stack.

Chem 2nd semester, Calc 2, microbiology 2nd semester, physics 101, and then some humanities crap with some labs. This semester is gonna suck, at least I don't have Ochem yet.

Notes:
Really nice workout to end off on. Some nice pumps in my chest, and the workout overall was just really good. I'm not feelign the doms today, which is kind of surprising because usually when I have big chest pumps it hurts like hell the next day.

Anyways, this is my last workout on activate xtreme. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, my final review should be up sometime today.

Trial length (weeks): 4 weeks

Beginning body weight: 185.5
Beginning body fat % (approx): 12.5

End body weight: 190.5
End body fat % (approx): 12.0

Weight difference: +5lbs
Body fat % difference: -.5

Give a basic description of your training and dietary approach:

Basically did sets of 10x8x6 for every lift while doing split body parts every day. My diet was on average +500 cals above maitenance. I was eating pretty clean though. Most of the added cals were from eating more lean meat.

Please note any effects the product had on:

Strength

Some small increases in strength. It felt overall like my workouts were better, and some of my lifts felt easier, but I didn't increase my weights too much.

Rating (1-10): 6

Energy

Didn't notice energy boosts, but I rarely ever felt tired and definitely noticed good endurance. My muscles would get pretty fatigued my first couple workouts but then later on it's like xtreme kicked in and it went away.

Rating (1-10): 8

Mood

Most days I was in a very positive mood.

Rating (1-10): 9

Sex drive

Definitely noticed an increase in sex drive. It got even crazier than it already is for a 19 yr old .

Rating (1-10): 8

Erection strength

No real notice for improvements, it was already great before I started.

Rating (1-10): 8

Side Effects

For the first 2 weeks I had a noticeable increase in skin oiliness and acne. By the 3rd week though the oiliness was gone, and my acne was slowly increasing. I had some very weird nervous/anxious moments at the beginning of the log but they were gone after the first couple days. Other than that not very many other side effects noticed. Didn't see a increase in appetite like others noticed.

Rating (1-10): 8

Size

I put on about 5 lbs of pretty lean mass. I seriously don't understand how I went up 5 lbs, but my bf went down or at the very least stayed the same. My muscles feel harder, and I definitely look more lean/vascular. I noticed some increased size in my lats/back/biceps. My waist decreased a small amount along with my chest. Overall I'm very happy with the gains I had in a 30 day period.

Rating (1-10): 10

Overall product rating (1-10): [i]8.5

I was very pleased with my results on activate xtreme, and I would definitely recommend this as a test booster to my friends. It's very nicely priced, and did what it claimed for the most part for me, just wish I had better strength gains. Thank you very much everyone on the DS team for letting me test activate xtreme and for making another solid product.

Sorry that some are a little more zoomed in/out. I tried to keep the lighting and everything the same it's just a little hard. The main differences I noticed were in my lats/chest & bis. Definitely noticed some increased vascularity too.

Hope this final review is helpful to everyone, and thanks to everyone who stopped by at one point or another.

Yeah. Last time I tried a test booster I went 4 weeks. I think it will give me a better idea of the products effectiveness with 8 weeks rather then 4. Plus I had pretty sweet improvements all around on the first 4, so I wanna see what another 4 will give me.
