well today i did loads of snatches about 25 singles... all good etc but again max weight was only 40 kg...

then thought i would try and do some heavy singles squatting - both front and back... but once i got to bellow parallel my hip flexors fired and i either struggled to get low or had nothing till above parallel... talking 100kg only for both...

so i then did a pl squat with 200kg and did a very easy triple... like it was nothing...

what can i do...

25 single snatches...you must be spent ;)

Seriously, it sounds like you burned yourself out. This has happened to me. Try going heavy first then finish with the high reps and light weight. Worked for me...JMO.

try improving your Hip Flexor strength by doing Romanian Deadlifts followed by hanging leg raises....

Wow that is a massive gap. 100kg to 200kg.... i would say just add in some light A2G squats and get used to them.

these are AMAZING for getting yourself out of the hole when your ATG squatting http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/Hamstrings/BBGluteHamRaise.html These also help for getting out of the hole too http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good-morning <good mornings also added prolly 150lb to my deadlift. And i would practice ATG front squats more to get used used to being down there. It will help your olympic lifts alot :)
