About Me

Height: 5'3
Weight: 141
Diet: carb/calorie cycling
Body Type: Meso I guess
Mother of Three
Married

Diet
This is something I struggle with because not only do I have a huge appetite, but I love food-good food. I have started and failed at many diets. What I have found that works for me is to carb/calorie cycle. I cannot limit myself to the same food everyday or I binge. That's just how I work. So, I try to switch things around and give myself a cheat meal once a week to keep on the wagon. Here's some of the things that are in my diet.

Steak
Chicken
Pork
Sweet Potatoes
Oatmeal
Eggs
Tuna
Fruits
Fish
Brocolli
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Other Veggies

I cycle calories from 1200-1500 and carbs from as low as 20 grams-100 grams

I would like to extend my thanks to Millenium Sports for choosing me to test this product. I am very interested in it due to the adrenal support it provides. Thank you Matt, Tim (Spaceclown), and Andrew (ncangey0513). I will do my best to provide an accurate, detailed, and honest (always) log for you guys.

I was doing an upper/lower split with 1-2 days off with very little cardio. Well, I now intend to incorporate more cardio into my routine and change up my split, cause my body is too used to it. Here's my plan for now.

Cardio

I will be incorporating more cardio into my workouts as my fat loss has slowed down a lot. I will be rotating between the following based on time, weather, and willingness.

Elliptical
Kickboxing DVD
Running Outside
Biking Outside

I am aiming for 4-5 30min-1 hour sessions per week.

All exercises are subject to rotation and/or changes.

What I Will Be Monitoring

Energy Levels
Mood
Appetite Suppression
Thermogenic Effects
Any Sides
Weight Loss
Other

Other Supplements

Xtend
Whey Protein
Looking into a Creatine, possible Green Mag

Other

Feel free to give advice or suggestions on my new routine. I have never actually put together a split like this before. Another thing is even though this is my third sponsored log I do hope everyone realizes that I am upfront and honest about these things. I have nothing to lose by lying and even though it's the interweb, I am not about to sacrifice my integrity or conscious by exaggerating the truth just to make a company happy. I am sure MST will appreciate my honest feedback more than some dishonest hyping. I will be starting the Shred Monday and my log will begin commencement then.

I took these a few days ago, so they are recent. With my camera problems I don't feel like taking new ones and going through the hassle again. They are from 7-18-07. I didn't realize the time stamp reverts back to the original after turning it off.

Hardcore? Depends on what I am being hardcore about ;)

Don't worry, I'm planning on being extra hardcore for this log, cause I am sick of this fat dragging me down. Plus, I'm excited to try out my new routine and see how it works for me.

I'm glad to have you here. Should be tons of fun.

-----------------------------
Well, today is my first real day of this log. I am starting out with one pill to access tollerance and/or sensitivity. I will also be going grocery shopping today for essentials to my diet. I meant to yesterday but got caught up with stuff around home. I'm also excited to get into my new routine. I'll have to admit that I haven't worked out in around a week, just to take some time off and relax, so I am pretty ansy to get back to it. Might make for some DOMS, but I am not too worried.

MST REPS?
I read on the directions to take with food or a beverage. Which one is the best? Also I am thinking about taking a sleep aid supplement to help me. On average now it takes me 30min-hr to fall asleep and the stim effects might accerbate that. I have some 5-HTP on hand. Would you care if I took that at night or would melatonin be a better choice since 5-HTP has some mood enhancing effects w/possible appetite suppression?

SPACECLOWN
07-23-2007, 06:47 AM
Subbed. I love melatonin but you build a tolerance pretty quick. We of course would prefer nothing to skew the results of the log. If nothing else run HC a couple weeks then introduce 5-htp so we can make sure we understand the product on its own.

That's what I figured. I'm not planning on taking anything unless it becomes a problem. I plan on taking my second dose early enough in the day so that it shouldn't effect my sleep. Oh, and bout time you made an appearance ;)

Well at least you recognize that. Just make sure to tell that to her often. I'm pretty much the backbone of my family. Gets stressful at times, but I am a giver by nature. Anyway, congrats once again. We're going on our 4th anniversary this October. Not as long as you, but exciting/fullfilling all the same.

Monday July 23rd-Day 1

Exercise-Monday:Arms & Back

Cable Hammer Curls: 12,10,8
Bench Dips: 3 X 12
Seated Cable Rows: 3 X 12
Upright Barbell Rows: 30 lbs @ 12,10,8
Reverse Grip Bent-Over Rows: 30lbs @ 12,10,8
Standing Bicep Curls: 30lbs @ 12,10,8
Stiff Legged Deadlifts: 40lbs @ 12,12,10
Tricep Pushdown: 3 X 12

Cardio

20 min on elliptical @ 50-58 RPMs, level 2 resistance, heart rate around 140 most time.

Diet

Breakfast: 2 c raisin bran w/1 c 1% milk
Lunch: 1 can tuna w/light mayo and mustard w/ cucumber slices
Pre-WO: 1 c oats
Post-WO: Whey Shake w/banana
Dinner: Grilled Tilapia w/ 2 c broccoli
Beverages: Water flavored w/ Crystal Light

Shred xs Hardcore Musings

Energy: Felt like I drank two cups of coffee. I got a little shaky, but not much and was right before I intended to eat. Second dose there were no shakes. No crash as of yet.
Mood: No noticeable change in mood as of yet.
Appetite Suppression: No noticeable change yet.
Thermogenic Effect: Nothing noticeable until I started my workout. By the time I was done with cardio, which was right after lifting, sweat was pouring off me. Not sure if it was due to the cardio or thermo effect.
Side Effects: None that I can see. I took my second pill @ 2pm so hoping it doesn't effect my sleep.

Other Musings

Diet was spot on today with no cravings or feeling hungry. I really enjoyed the Tilapia, first time having it. I'm glad that the Shred didn't effect me bad. Some stims are just too much for my heart. For now I will be taking 1 twice a day. I may up it a little more if I feel it becoming not as effective. I will with-hold commenting on lost weight until a week has past and then once a week thereafter. I'm also really liking the change in lifting and feel that I am hitting areas of my body a lot harder than before. Weight may seem a little low to some, but I am a firm believer of brains before brawn. I want to make sure my form is down, as some of the exercises are new to me, before adding more weight. I meant to do 30min on the elliptical, but two things occured to stop me. One was that for some reason, I'm thinking maybe my shoes?, the toes on my right foot started going numb. Second reason was I needed to cook dinner :o

I'll try. It's hard for me cause I can't seem to eat a lot in the morning. Usually my appetite doesn't start up until around 3pm. What kind of protein before workout? Food or a shake?

Awsome way to kick things off. Great work.

Nice workout!

Felt nice. I meant to add in hyperextensions, but the thing I'd use to do that was messed up. That part of my machine needs to be tightened again. I have to keep a list next to me of what I am doing cause a lot is so new...lol. I'm sure in a couple weeks I'll get used to it.

A good rule of thumb is whole food is typically always better than whey with a possible exception of post workout when you want a quick protein like whey.

Incline Cable Fly: 12,10,8
Pushups: 3 X 10
Incline Cable Bench Press: 12,12,10
Air Bike: 2 X 30

Reverse Crunch: 2 X 15

Cardio

30 min on elliptical
RPMs:55-62
Resistance:Level 2
Heart Rate:Peak 163, Average 150
Distance: 1452
Steps: 2905
Calories Burned: 324.8

Diet

Breakfast: 2 eggs w/1slice whole wheat toast, cubed low-fat mozz cheese
Lunch: Turkey w/big salad, low fat Italian
Pre-WO: 1 c oats, 1 egg
Post-WO: Whey Shake
Dinner: 2 oz grilled steak/2 oz grilled chicken, 2 tomatoes, 1 cucumber
Beverages: Water flavored w/ Crystal Light

Shred xs Hardcore Musings

Energy: Less shaky this time, moderate energy. 1 cap pre-breakfast, 2nd cap 2 hours after lunch. Feeling more of an energy boost after second dose, kind of like an internal humming.
Mood: No noticeable change in mood as of yet.
Appetite Suppression: Only noticeable thing is my lack of sugar cravings. I have a huge sweet tooth and it's been almost non-existant. I can only contribute that to the supp as I have little willpower in that flaw.
Thermogenic Effect: Nothing in particular until cardio. Massive amount of sweating then.
Side Effects: None noted, slept just fine last night.

Other Musings

Added in a little more protein per Spaceclown's advice. I'm having no cravings which is great. I usually have lots of sugar cravings. So far diet is on par, better than I have done in awhile. I managed a full 30 min on the elliptical thanks to sheer will and Linkin Park. It's not due to lack of stamina, but I get so bored and I hate it. I almost stepped off at 20 min, but I told myself no cause I was in a nice groove so I stuck it out. See what's weird is the first 5 mins are sheer hell for me. Once the 10 min mark hits it smoothes out. So my song for the day is Usher's "Yeah" cause Yeah I made it all 30 min....lol. Also want to add in that when on the elliptical I like to "sit" into it a little to target the glutes more and relieve some pressure from my knees. Very good butt lifter;)

Another note is that my joints suck. Every time I do some lifting that involves my shoulders it's like, Snap, Crackle, Pop and it's starting to bother me. Any suggestions on what to take would be awesome.

Quick update: I could not sleep last night. I went to bed about 3 hrs later than normal. I'm not going to say it was the Shred at this moment cause sometimes that does happen to me. Just can't shut down. However, if it happens again and again then I'll know it's the Shred and adjust accordingly.

I've been taking one before breakfast and one after lunch around 2pm. I'll see how it goes today and if there is still a problem I'll either take the two in the morning or take it around 1pm. I hesitate to take 2 at a time cause the morning dose tends to effect me a little more than the later one.

That looks pretty decent. I started taking glucosamine and chondroitin to alleviate some joint point and it has worked very well. You also might want to look into something with MSM include, as that seems to be better for helping deal with the pain while the glucosamine and chondroitin repair the joints.

Subbed for shenanigans :p.

As far as the shoulder goes glucosamine is good, warming up the rotator cuff prior to the lifting session helps a hell of a lot too.

Shred xs Hardcore Musings

Energy: No shakes at all. Moderate energy increase, but I was tired from going to bed late last night.
Mood: No noticeable change in mood as of yet.
Appetite Suppression: Starting to kick in more I think. I am having to tell myself to eat at times. Portions are easy to control.
Thermogenic Effect: Still just noticing a lot of sweating during cardio. I'm soaked by the end.
Side Effects: Mentioned not going to bed at usual time. Not sure if a side effect, but took second dose a little earlier today.

Other Musings

Today was a hard workout for me, even with little weights. I really struggled to get things done. One reason being my upper body is kind of sore for being off for a week. Other reason being my shoulders. I was not looking forward to the shoulder work today. I bared through a lot of it, but didn't push myself. I'm sure you'll notice the small weight and small amount of reps. I did go and buy some Osteo Bi-Flex that is triple strength with MSM. Says you can start feeling the effects in 7 days, so lets hope so. Looking foward to tomorrow's workout of forearms, abs, and glutes. I need to make adjustments cause in my intro for that day I didn't add in any glute work. Must have forgotten. Just a couple things, cause Friday is leg day and I'll be hitting that area with lots of squats. Looking forward to leg day

Ok, I personally think this should be everyone's workout theme song just cause of the intro and chorus line. This was especially true for me today. I couldn't find an original video, but the song is all that matters anyway.

Beverages: Water flavored w/ Crystal Light

Shred xs Hardcore Musings

Energy: Fairly clean energy with no crash evident
Mood: I was actually grumpy today, but think that has to do more with my sleep schedule being messed up.
Appetite Suppression: Was great until after dinner time. Will explain below.
Thermogenic Effect: A slight increase in body temp today.
Side Effects: Sleep being disturbed so far.

Other Musings

Was upset my exercising got cut short and couldn't get to cardio. I wasn't planning on doing cardio tomorrow being that it is leg day, but I might try to do it early in the morning then rest up. Appetite was fine until after dinner time then cravings kicked in a lot. I think it's cause I switched up my dosing. I decided to take both pills first thing in the morning cause of the sleep issues and by the time dinner rolled around I was really hungry. I guess I need that later dose. I just had two apples to get over it.

This is in honor of glutes everywhere.

I lay in bed last night thinking as I am trying to fall asleep afteran hour of being there about why I can't sleep. See yesterday I took both pills at around 9am which conceivably should not have affected my sleep, yet I couldn't fall asleep no matter how tired I was. I got to thinking about the supp I am taking and the adrenal support it provides, a 2:1 ratio. So possibly this has up-regulated my adrenals and caused me to be more sensitive to the stims thus resulting in interupted sleep patterns. Interesting to say the least. I cannot continue to lose sleep, so I will be picking up some Melatonin today to hopefully counteract this newfound sensitivity.

I don't want to take anything that may mess up the results of the Shred since it has a mood altering effect. Not sure if ZMA would do that or not, so for now I am just sticking with Melatonin. It's helped me in the past.

Have a great weekend.

It does suck cause I need a good night's sleep to feel good and be in a good mood. The last couple of days I've been feeling very irritable and I don't like that.

Thats too bad about your sleep, that is IMO one of the most frustrating things to go through. I am really immune to caffeine/other stims, so hopefully this adrenal support will make me more sensitive, because as of now 3 caps is ok but not what I was expecting. Good luck and I hope you feel better.

I just think I am a little more sensitive cause I cut out almost all caffeine over a month ago. I had a cup of coffee a couple weeks ago and 1 cup got me pretty jittery and I had to eat something pretty quick. I used to drink a cup or two at least when I worked, but stopped after quitting. I think it's kind of a good thing cause I was pretty sure my adrenals were lagging after hearing about Reset A.D. I pretty much fit all the symptoms except for the nagging wife part :D

Other Musings

Today was a pretty intense workout. I always here about people getting nauseous or puking after an hard workout. I've never dealt with that before, until today that is. I didn't puke, but I got pretty sick to my stomach towards the end. Very weird feeling. My legs definately took a beating today. I'm already feeling the DOMS sort of and they've been weak all day. I think I know more of what it's like to really work out your body after this week and my new routine. Makes me think I wasn't doing anything right before.

This song is awesome. Have a great weekend everyone. Next two days are off for me. I do plan on getting some cardio in though to make up for the last two days. Energy: Still a nice moderate energy.

Appetite Suppression: Does a good job, but wears off later in the day if I don't take a second dose.
Thermogenic Effect: Mega sweating when working out or out in the heat.
Side Effects: Been having some digestive issues lately, but could be more diet related.

Other Musings

Things are going as planned so far. I'm actually surprised my diet has been as good as it has cause that's always been a weak spot for me. I think a lot has to do with the appetite suppression. I'm just not very hungry. Cravings are pretty much nil. I've found that if I take 2 first thing in the morning, then 1 later after lunch the supression lasts all day and I don't have those late night munchies I've fallen prey to so many times. This is what I am sticking with for the duration of this log, so it will be a 30 day log. The sweating has really surprised me cause as I have mentioned before I'm not much of a sweater. These will make sure you take a shower every day if you don't already;) Hubby told me the other day that my legs are looking leaner so that's good. As long as it keeps going I'm happy.

I never had this hard of a time before losing post pregnancy weight, so it gets frustrating but I will continue on and on until I get there.

First off I LOVE Reeces PB Cups!!!

Secondly.. all I can say is keep working towards your goals. Some people have a genetic advantage it is very evident when it comes to bulking.. Some people can add 2-5lbs of LBM a month for months!
Where as other are forcing food in like crazy and then having to up cardio to watch out for BF%increase...

You have made progress since you started and that shows you can do it. So I say keep going and keep working towards your goal!!!

Actually it has. I've been taking a half dose of a OTC non-habit forming sleep aid. I didn't even take it yesterday and fell asleep with no problems. It's great cause I was becoming very testy :o A woman needs her beauty sleep, especially this woman ;)

Thats good news, especially that you were able to fall asleep without a sleep aid yesterday. Even if its a non-habit forming sleep aid, I just feel like I get a better, more restful sleep when I dont take anything. I hope it keeps up.

I like it cause it helps me fall asleep faster, but then again it can make me feel drowsy when I first wake up. I figure I'll only use it if it takes me more than a half hour to fall asleep. I think the workouts are helping to wear me down too so that's good.

Other Musings

Nothing new really going on except legs seem to be a little less flabby. I noticed it today when sitting that there doesn't seem to be as much flub, so that's good. Upper waist seems to be slimming where there is more of a curve in than before if that makes sense. Instead of being more straight up and down there's beginning to have an hourglass shape. Overall I'm happy with my progress. I'm bored out of my mind and miss my hubby :( Can't wait until he comes home Friday. My oldest son comes home Saturday after being gone for two weeks to the grandparents in Seattle. Younger son leaves for two weeks Saturday as well.

Thanks. Everything's going as planned so far. Really enjoying my new routing and feel I am hitting areas of my body a lot harder and better than before.

I got to thinking about today's routine today. I really don't see any need for forearm work. I think they have plenty of muscle tone for a woman and can't see really improving them much. So, I decided to cut that part out and just do abs and a little glute work. My abs need more work than anything anyway. I went to bed with a headache last night, not sure why. It happens sometimes. I slept good though, again without any sleep aid. Except I woke up around 5am and it took me 30 min to fall back to sleep. I am pretty happy with the small results I am seeing, although I wish it was a lot more and faster :o Good things come to those who wait right.

Thanks Chris. I have a tendency to get a couple headaches a week. Not sure why though. I suffer from Migraines, but luckily they don't happen too often. Those put me out.

I hate cardio when I am doing to lose weight. Right now I am bulking, so when I do cardio, it is more just to have something active to do or for the heart. When its for cutting purposes though, I really hate cardio. Its mainly because I know I have to do it, so then it blows.

A light day today, but no complaints here. Some reason I am feeling a little worn down today. Tomorrow I probably won't do cardio since it's leg day. I've been pretty consistant with it so I think it's ok to take a lil break. Sunday probably won't be a good diet day cause that's my baby girl's b-day party. I'll try not to overdo it though.

Your support means a lot. I appreciate every comment. I'm actually surprised at myself how well I am doing. Damn scale isn't moving as fast as I would like, but it seems like I do more toning than losing weight sometimes. Not a bad thing really, but I would like to see my BF% go down for once. Seems like as I get a little older it gets more stubborn. Guess I should be glad I'm not over 30 yet or I might be in trouble...lol.

Side Effects: Had a hard time going to bed last night, probably took second dose too late, so I popped a sleep aid and that took care of that.

Other Musings

I'm a mixed bag of feelings today. I'm worried and anxious cause both my boys are going to be on planes alone today. One is flying home and the other one is flying to Seattle. I'll be really nervous until their both on the ground and safe. I'm a little sad because Hubby will be gone all day today to Newark. He left around Noon and won't get back until at least 2am. Sucks cause he was gone all week and the weekend is all I have with him. :( I'm happy cause my boy is coming home after being gone 2 weeks and tomorrow is my lil girls b-day party. She's excited too. And I have a pain that's bothering me so that sucks. I did the exact same workout as last week cause it kicks ass and my ass...lol. Really wears a girl out, but feels oh so nice once it's done. I might do some cardio today or might not. Depends on if this pain goes away or not.

I have a few soft sides ;)

I am so pissed right now. Yeah my moods swing easily. See when we set up the whole thing with the boys going to see their g-parents in Seattle I would only do it with straight flights. That's why we had to take them to Newark. Well, I just checked the status on my youngest (7) sons flight and instead of flying straight to Seattle like my other son did for some reason they changed it and he has a connecting flight in Spokane, then to Seattle. I'm very upset about it. He's already really nervous, scared about going alone and now this. WTH, you'd think they would let someone know what's going on. Hubby is going to see what's up when they get there. I don't like this at all :(

That's what I am saying  This is my child. I really don't know why they changed it. Hubby will probably find out. Granted he pretty much gets there and gets on the next plane, but I'm the one left wondering who the hell is going to care for him in that time. It really freaks me out, thus the reason I said a straight flight. This will make me even more a nervous wreck. Hubby wasn't too happy either when I called and told him.

I'm sure that everything will be fine with your children, Aries. It is is natural to be very concerned in these types of situations, but you have to focus elsewhere. It is very unfortunate at what happened, but, everything will be OK. Worrying is like a rocking chair; it will give you something to do, but it won't get you anywhere (yes, Van Wilder). Hopefully you feel better soon and get everything under control.

Things are better now. They are stopping in Spokane to change flight crew. He's staying on the plane. They're just stopping long enough for the crew to switch and he'll be on his way. Also, he's sitting next to a 10 yr old girl ( ;) ) who is also flying alone, so he has company. I'm Mama, I always worry :o

Hello everyone. I had a pretty good weekend. My oldest son came back home. I missed him so much. My younger son made it to Seattle just fine and is having/going to have tons of fun. Had my baby girl's b-day party yesterday and she had a lot of fun. She got so excited over every little gift, squealing in delight. I didn't eat too bad, but not the best. I did have a piece of cake :o

After two weeks I am down 3-4 lbs. Pretty good I guess. I see a tiny bit of difference, but nothing drastic. I'm still happy though.

On another brief note, I was involved with some stupid drama this past weekend. I just want to thank those that saw my side and stood up for me. I do my best to stay away from the drama around here, but sometimes it gets you anyway. I'll BBL with my update after workout.

Been feeling ill in my stomach since yesterday. I'm probably just going to eat some fruit for the rest of the day. I didn't do cardio cause I just felt like crap. Workout really suffered as you can tell by the numbers. I had to force myself to even do that much. Hopefully I feel better tomorrow. Thanks.

Hope you feel better soon, keep us updated!

Better late than never? :o

Question - What's the theory behind training arms before back?

I have no idea. I'm not a pro, nor pretend to be. I'm just a marshmellow trying to be less squishy. It's a new split I made up instead of upper/lower. I asked for comments and/or advice. No one told me any different.

Hopefully you get back to 100% soon, Brandy. Good to hear your oldest came back. :)

Thanks.

FIRST- I am glad that you are feeling better and were able to get a workout in!

Hey Aries, I am no "PRO" but a lot of people train Back before arms because people feel that if you train arms before back you will exhaust your arms which in turn will negatively affect your back workout.

In most Back exercises The Primary muscle used will be Back(upper, lower, lats) but the secondary muscle usually will be your arms (fore arms biceps) so if you fatigued your arms previously you will tire out your arms before being able to really get everything out of your Back workouot.

So for a example if you train back first you might get 18 chin ups
If you train arms first, then do back day possibly after your 8th chin up your arms will be fatigued but your back will still be fine so you would have limited the work that you can do on your back.

I hope that helps,
My opinion is you should have chest and Back done before arms depending on your workout split

Understand. So are you saying I should do arms and back on different days? What I put up there is not neccessarily the order that I do things. I pretty much go back and forth between the two. Eh, whatever. It's not like I am ever going to have the perfect body or be in contests.

Great post, John. You also have the choice of training biceps before back. The reason behind this: you will fatigue your secondary muscle (ie biceps) and when train the larger group you will be working it exclusively (in theory)

I would say just do what John suggested. It should do for your needs.

No, I think it would be fine to do arms and back on the same day. Its just a good rule of thumb to train the larger muscles first and then the smaller, supportive muscles second. That way when you do, say 3 back exercises, your arms(mostly biceps in this case) will also be getting an indirect workout. So when you go to train your arms, they will already be somewhat fatigued and you will have to do fewer exercises to exhaust them.

Agree with all these guys. The basic rule of thumb is to start with the larger muscle group, then hit the smaller ones. Awsome post Sap.

I appreciate all the advice. Obviously my goals differ from others and it's best to do what works for me. I understand the concept of doing bigger muscle groups first. I think the reason it never seemed to matter was that I am not throwing up huge amounts of weight, so I never seem to fatigue until it's all said and done. I also mentioned I the order I put things is not the order I usually do everything. I usually do an arm workout, then they start aching and move on to another exercise for my back. However, I will start back first and then move to arms. This was my first time doing a split so... If you guys see any more mess ups for my other days let me know so I can straighten it out before I go on any longer. Thanks.

Please DO!!!..yes..please do...

But I will say my opinion work your back first, then your arms but if you are doing
Back and Bi and Tri in the same workout

You can try any variation of the exercises
Maybe

All your Back, then Tri, then Bi
Or
Back SS with Tri then Bi
Back then Tri SS with Bi

Or whatever you feel like, if you want to do some instinctive training

BTW you workout Glutes 2x a week..Lucky husband!

He does love my badonkadonk :D Also I believe the elliptical is an awesome machine for the glutes, especially how I use it. I like to kind of sit into it to take pressure off my knees and focus it on the glutes.

I'm really trying although it seems nothing is improving much. I'm not the most patient of people even though I know it takes time. It's hard from going from always being an in-shape person to struggling to lose weight. I swear I have no metabolism at all. I've never had such a hard time ever, so it's a little difficult to deal with at times. I will admit though that at my height and size I carry everything pretty well. I guess I should be thankful for little things. All my fat is evenly distributed instead of more in one place.

Well exactly be thankful for little things...Obviously you are not getting in better shape for me :( but I am sure you look great we all are always the hardest on ourselves.

I have never had children..believe it or notso I only know so much about weight loss after children, but it does take time and I believe that I mentioned before that do not only go by the scale when it comes to exercising and weight loss,

Because there is a high % chance that you have lost more fat weight than the scale will show because you are also gaining muscle,

im glad that you found a good way on the eliptical to work your glutes..plus Im sure all his friends that come over are happy too :D

In all seriousness though, your progress has been awsome so far. Its been great to watch you continually progress both in the gym and in your weight loss goals. The best way to figure things out is to simply be in the gym and try new things. You have obviously come a long way from your circuit machine training and as your progress continues, you will constantly find new trick and methods that yield the best results for YOU.

If anything I have been more irritable since starting these. That happens sometimes. Hydroxycut did it really bad. Not sure why.

Hello everyone. Hope everybody is having a nice weekend. My weekend's been pretty good. I didn't update friday, but had a nice leg workout. Had some DOMS too. My weight been's all over the place for some reason. I'm not really sure what I've lost cause it's been up and down. I feel a little slimmer, but it's never enough :o Diets been pretty good. I haven't even had a cheat this week yet. We went to the mall yesterday and they had pizza and I passed. I'm not the biggest pizza fan so it wasn't hard. Sometimes I wonder if I am even eating enough. Maybe that's why my weight keeps bouncing around? Anyway, just thought I would give a little update since I had some spare time.

My weight fluctuates a lot too, its kind of frustrating. It is amazing how much food and water weighs lol. If you drink 1 gallon and eat like 4 meals, thats a lot of weight!

When do you weigh yourself? I try to weigh myself in the mornings before breakfast to increase the accuracy.

Lucky You. I haven't been to the beach in over a year, probably closer to two. That's one of my problems. I carry a lot of extra water weight I think cause from the time in the morning when I weight myself till the end of the day my weight will go up as much as 5-6 lbs.

Glad you liked the song. Not everyone likes my choice of music on here...lol. I weigh myself first thing in the morning after I go to the bathroom. I figure that to be the most accurate.

Never underestimate the usefulness of the mirror in assessing progress. Weight is definitely not the only indicator of progress. Many things can influence the numbers on the scale, but if you can see a difference when you look in the mirror, you are making progress. Congrats.

Trust me, I rely on it more than the scales, cause the scales piss me off more than anything. What is great is that finally my waist seems to be slimming down. After three kids that is my worst area for sure. My first goal is to get to 130. It seems so close but it's taking me forever to get there. After that I will try to get to 115-120 and I'll be happy there. Since I have a good amount of muscle I can't see myself getting lower than that without losing a good deal of muscle. First to get to 130 though. Seems so damn close but so far away :( Thanks for your support. I need it, cause sometimes I get so frustrated and want to give up and then I come on here and read comments like yours and it gives me the lift I need to keep going. That and I don't want to disappoint my fans ;) Thank you.

I've missed a couple doses here and there, mostly the second dose I was taking. So by my count I have anywhere from 16-20 days left or so on this log. Hopefully you can hang around that long. If not look out for the final review in a couple weeks or so.

Thanks. I hadn't heard it in awhile. Used to love it, well still do. If I let my life get in the way I'd never get anything done. I've got mad time management skillz.

Hmm, I figured you had to like that song.

That might be what you call a PR, but I wouldn't say I am getting stronger. I did them first per last weeks diss....cussion and decided to up the weight. I'm pretty sure I could do 100lbs at least, but can't afford to hurt myself being alone so you won't see it go up more than that for now.

Well, damn I guess I can't please everyone :( Actually the vidoes I put are more for me than anyone else. I can't possibly know who likes what you know. I'm trying still. Diet is the hardest thing for me and always will be. Half that stuff I am almost having to force myself to eat. I'm one of those people that used to only eat twice a day and then have a late night snack. Probably why my metabolism sucks.

It's YOUR log you gotta come first every once in a while hehe. Although you will want to keep Kurt happy for your own sake!

Diet is one of the hardest parts for me to to an extent. I think it can be hard for anyone not counting calories or isn't use to eating clean and 6 meals a day. The important thing though is you are and over time it will get much easier. I use to hate oatmeal, but now I love it. I also use to hate spending so much time making meals 6-7 times a day, but now if I don't eat that often/much I'de probably faint sometimes during the day. It gets easier, and you're kicking some major ass!

You always know what to say :) I've always liked oatmeal. My biggest thing has always been carbs. I LOVE carbs, but they don't love me as much. I wouldn't say I am kicking major ass as I still have too much junk in the trunk, but I am trying. What sucks is I can feel all my rippling muscle underneath this ever-lasting layer of fat. I want my muscles to show more. Slowly but surely I'm getting there though.

Yeah, Kurt is a thorn in my side. I try so hard to please him, but fail too often ;) One of these day I might have to take a trip to Canada and kick his bulking azz... :D

Oh ya, you would have tons of fun in Saskatchewan :D. See I'm not a big carb guy, I'm just a big food guy. I really think I have the stomach of a 300lbs person.

I used to live in Alaska. Don't know if you knew that or not. I lived there for 5 yrs and we are hoping to move back in the next couple yrs. I miss it :( Such a beautiful place. Winters get too long though. Canada is probably kind of like it eh?

I hear ya about the water weight thing. Sometimes it gets very frustrating being a woman, try to lose weight! I was getting out of control with my scale and letting that number affect me way to much. I actually took my scale out of the bathroom and put it under my bed. I made a vow to myself, two solid weeks of what I have been doing and then I will weigh myself again. For now I am going by the mirror, and I am liking what I see. I do love my carbs, and oatmeal is my breakfast of choice! You are doing some really solid work Brandy :D

I hear ya. I'm trying, but sometimes it seems like I am getting nowhere fast...lol. That's a good idea about the scales. When I was thinner I never stepped on a scale. I just looked in the mirror and decided if I liked what I saw. When you're trying to lose weight it's a different story. Sometimes I just want to throw them out the window...lol. I'm looking forward to your final review. I think after this log is done I'm going to take a break and just focus on my training and diet and see where that gets me. Last year I lost a little over 20 lbs just with that. I'm am interested in Napalm though. I'm keeping an eye on the logs cause it's something I'm wanting to try if it's worth it. No matter how much weight I lose I still have that damn lower ab pooch from having kids.

You have a weiner?

Are you referring to appetite suppression? It could be my mentality too. When I take supps I feel like eating less cause then what's the point? If I over eat or whatever then there's no sense in taking the supp. One thing I do notice is I do have to eat about 30 min-1 hr after taking it or I feel real jittery and anxious. If I don't eat then I feel sick. Only happens with the first morning dose.

Oh yeah. Update coming.

Energy: Sometimes almost seems too much but it passes and levels out. Some mild crashing is apparent now, but not until later at night and nothing too big. Just more yawning apparent.
Mood: No change in mood for better or worse.
Appetite Suppression: Still doing it for the most part. Sometimes I notice an increase in appetite, but I just grab some fruit and it's gone.
Thermogenic Effect: Nothing noticeable really. Weather is milder, almost cold so I feel colder than usual.
Side Effects: Just messes with my sleep sometimes.

Other Musings

Nothing new really to report. I do feel like I am sometimes pushing against a brick wall. Bleh....

Sometimes I have a hard time falling asleep. If it's taking me longer than a half hour to fall asleep I usually pop a sleep aid. It's not near as bad as it was the first week. Those first few days really sucked. I think I am just more sensitive to the stims.

There is nothing worse then lying in bed and really wanting to sleep, but not being able too. At least it isnt as out of control as it was at first.

I agree. I've suffered from insomnia in the past and had to get on Ambien. It's really no fun. I wake up in the middle of the night too and that sucks cause you don't get the deep REM sleep you need. Probably why I remember most of my dreams. I'm actually pretty tired today, so I don't think I'll have any problems tonight.

Hopefully you will enjoy a nice sleep :D

Pushups and bench usually give me DOMS no matter what. Ab work too sometimes. I'm thinking I need to work abs more often, perhaps 3-4 times a week instead of two, especially since that is my weakest area. I actually have DOMS more now with this new split than when I was doing upper/lower.

Should be in bed now, but having a little hard time turning off the things in my head. Just need to get a little more tired.

Thanks for the tip on the Napalm, I am really curious to see how those logs turn out. Your workouts are looking great. I am so sensitive to stims, and they can really mess with my sleep. I just started taking Thermolifes Zappetite, and I love it! It may be something you could think about trying if you want to give stims a break. Which is exactly what I wanted to do. Congrats on your missing love handles! :D

Thanks :D I'm not sure what route I'll be taking when this is over. Probably either nothing or possibly a non-stim. I still have almost a whole bottle of Dialene 4 sitting in my cabinet too. I was interested in Melting Point, but the cramps scared me off a little. At this point I just don't know.
