Just curious as to why you NEED to lose 30 lbs in a month??? I ask because it seems a rather lofty goal in such a condensed time frame. I understand that the "why" may be none of my business, as you were inquiring about the "how".

As a former competitive bodybuilder, I assume you are knowledgable as to dieting for contest prep. I would say the same principles apply...not the water and sodium manipulation part. I'd clean up your diet, adjust your macros (drop simple carbs and clean up the fats). Keep protein up, but overall you should be running a calorie deficit...one that you sustain by gradually dropping total Kcals each week. Its also time to step up the cardio and resistance training. A fat burner may also be of great benefit. As a certified trainer, I assume you are more than competent in designing your cardio and resistance protocol, thus I won't meander down that road unless its requested.

Another thing...make sure you have good color before the party. A good tan goes a long way in helping you to "look" slimmer and more defined than you may turn out. You for sure do not want to show up to a beach party as Casper...if you know what I mean :)

...and 30lbs in 30days is probably not gonna happen. Just being realistic here...thats like a pound a day. If you drop 3lbs a week, you're looking at a total of 12lbs total before your trip...with 2lbs per week, you're looking at 8lbs total. Either way, 5, 8, or 12lbs is an improvement and progress. In the end, trust me, there will be others who are too self-conscious regarding their own appearance to be absorbed with judging you...go out and have fun in the sun!

I agree a more realistic goal is like 12-15 lbs. 30 is not gonna happen, unless you eat fish and lettuce all day and do 3 hours of cardio...

keto is probably your best bet diet wise

I would not stick with keto much longer than that or you will go nuts once you get to the beach and put that weight on overnight

I would aim for 15 and be happy. Depending on how the 30# is placed on your body, the gut will still be there, so look to lean out general.
