Trial length (weeks): 4 weeks
Beginning body weight: 205lbs
Beginning body fat % (approx): ?
End body weight: 201lbs
End body fat % (approx): ?
Weight difference: -4lbs
Body fat % difference: seem to be a tad leaner on the sides
Give a basic description of your training and dietary approach:
Due to my shoulder I limited workouts to 3x a week and focused more on compound lifts to increase overall mass, while letting my diet help me get
those details in with the loss of fat.
My training approach is high reps at close to the heaviest weight possible i can do for the desired rep range, kinda like this:
1st set: 12-15
2nd: 8-12
3rd: 6-8
4th: 5-8
Plus I limit my break to 60 seconds or less, the only time I did not apply that philosophy is when I worked out with my buddies and my strength was through the roof due to the longer break in between. This approach was especially important due to my knee/ankle tendons leading my to cut off cardio so I can heal the tendons from PT, so my weight workout was my cardio and yes, at times I was out of breath.
Diet: As outlined in the first post that is my diet, now since I traveled, the diet varied, but I did try as much as possible to keep it within reason, however now that school starts tomorrow my diet and training will be consistent since I will be here all the time. If you think about it, most users will have an on the run type schedule and lots of variables will be factored to how they respond to the product
Please note any effects the product had on:
Strength
Strength was increases was noticeable at times, but overall I was recovering from a sore shoulder, but still impressed later on in the log along with the amount of reps i can do in a workout, especially back (which is my strong point)
Rating (1-10): 9
Energy
Energy? This product? haha, jk. I did notice increased Stamina from the product as many have noticed I stayed in the weight longer, did more exercises and more reps.
Rating (1-10): 7
Once again I was limited at first
Mood
After getting off Cytolean and Basic Cuts, I did notice I still had "good" moods and did not feel down, except for one day, but that is normal
Rating (1-10): 8
Sex drive
Sex drive was taken up a gear or 2 with this product. The drive was something else and thus the activity per week was increased and only went down in the last week due to that time of the month......
Rating (1-10): 9
Erection strength
Hahah, oh lord.....comment on this? **** is anything private anymore???
I did notice the strength lasted longer even after i was done, so i just hit it up again. Took a bit longer to "die" at times
Rating (1-10): 9
Add anything miscellaneous here
REM sleep was great the first 2 weeks, but then my schedule got messed up with the traveling and inconsistent bedtime, so with this 2nd bottle and school starting, I can really test this since I will be getting my regular 7-9hours. Overall I loved it at first and was sad to see it "go away" due to my traveling.
Acne: Well overall my acne was the same (on the back) I tend to sweat very easily and it sucks, so this clogs my pores very easily and I did not notice any increase on my back nor do i ever get any on my face unless I dont shave for over week, then maybe 1.
First week I left my back scrubber at home and was at the beach. Sun screen + sand = clogged pores and possibly more pimples. So that did suck, but it wasnt too bad and once i got back the back scrubber, things got back to "normal"
Recovery was vital to my training since I trained 3x a week and chose bodyparts to workout depending on how my shoulder felt thus why my arms were worked out more often. However cant really comment in this dept, sorry
Overall product rating (1-10): 9
Did this product live up to expectations?
Pretty much, overall I felt I did not eliminate the variables that could have lead me to better experience with the product, but you know that is life and 95% of users arent very tight with those variables, however I will get another chance with this 2nd bottle and I will report back.

Great Review man! You're goin with a 2nd bottle too? I was debating about how to dose AcTx during the second bottle as well.. I had actually thought about increasing to 5 a day. Either way, great Log + review.

I just wondered if this whole thing is your creation (through trial and error) or if you're basing it on someone else. Didn't mean any question or offence, just curiosity. :D

No big deal, just giving you some evidence:D
Yea, its basically trial and error. I cant do flat bench period, it irritates my shoulder tendons and isnt worth it.

I think it was the overall amount of low carb days and the fact i was totally bored and decided to have a high GI cheat meal and then it lead to other things....yada yada yada
I had my meal 3 during the transformers movie, snuck in a water bottle with my protein shake in it

You know what, situations like that is what probably leads to people becoming obese. Being bored then leading on to a snack or two... so on (I'm not targeting you).
Yeah yeah yeah, it happens to alot of people. It used to happen alot to me but I just fixed it by eating something filling like veggies or yogurt with fruit.
If that don't work you're going to have to try the "I was just checking my tonsils..honestly!" diet. :)

yea the problem was I was done doing all my reading for school and even reread the UD2.0 book and got some ideas from there, ill admit i got the high GI idea from them after days of low carbs. Originally I was going to double my oatmeal amount with everymeal since I believe my body is very sensitive to high GI carbs and loves to put the leftovers in my stubborn fat area, grrrrr.....

Seems like the injury is taking excessively long to heal completely. did you ever get any imaging (MRI) studies done?

yea I should make an appt. Its just I would have to go out of town for the specialist, I can go directly to them since I already have the insurance referral from a few months ago that allows 10 visits.

I will, yea my full potential would have been
starting with 40DBs on shoulder press and going up to 90 or so with at least 5 reps.

Notes:
- I slept well from getting up at 6am, so far no problems since this product allows me to get some good sleep.
- Plus I only started crashing out bc my 3:30 professor has a boring tone and is low which equals = 15minutes of ZZs
- I will need to use some stims (Basic Cuts) for the late afternoon classes
- Even though i park in handicapped spot, its still a quater mile, at least, to walk to class thanks to all the construction, so this counts as cardio and i got over a mile just walking to and from class:D

I think you know what your doing;) But I've never been a big fan of milk I guess it just doesn't agree w/ me. One other thing that I have toy'd when consuming carbs I keep fat to a minimum then (example: Eggwhites & Oats). I tend to only have carbs PWO in my Replenish, other then that its just a decent amount of fat and pretty high protien. I'm kinda anal when I'm dieting, so I keep tabs on alot and can't really allow myself to slack too much.

I am trying, I have always known Carb Cycling works, its just it was too big of jump for me, but this is an easy transistion, mostly im just losing some extra oats and maybe some brown rice.
I got most of my ideas from UD2.0, however I first came upon Carb Cycling with Steve's articles with Avant Labs.
I just get my carbs from SizeOn on workout days, which is a good source and maybe some oats. Overall for the day that hovers around 50-60g of carbs which is classified as borderline low carb/no carb. Its kinda confusing because Lyle says there is no need to go lower than 50g, but i forgot what if he called it low or no carb days

My eyes were red last night before reading it, so I should double check as the only mistakes I found were in Cathy's section.

It lists it at 0g of trans fat, so I assume its less than 1g and not really just 0, so I will use it 2-3x a week and have my roomie hide it, because considering my diet Body Octane and Reese's PB are like candy to me.

I still got ways to go, thanks
Word! I've come to the realization that I want to be a f%ck'n brick house:D 230lbs and 8% bodyfat might be nice;)

I figure 190 - 210 is nice for me if I can be around 6-8% bodyfat:D
Maybe if i get a tan, my definition will really come out. Redheads just cant tan, we get burned instead.

Saturday Sept. 1
Carb Up Day
Woke up at 11am
Took 3 caps of Act X
1 serving of BodyOctane + 1.5g of creatine
Breakfast
1.25 cups of egg whites
1 cup of oats with plenty of honey and 1/2tablespoon of almond butter
Meal 2
Field peas with turkey sausage
1 chicken breast
2 slices of 100% whole wheat bread (would have been rice, but i ****ed it up)
1/2tablespoon of PB
1 cap of fish oil
Meal 3
Brown rice
field peas with turkey sausage
1 chicken breast
2 cap of fish oil
Meal 4
same as above
Notes:
I am still sleeping very well which is what I really want and of course muscle gain, however I will be working out legs Sunday since I will not do upper body work until checked out on Sept 10th.
While I have been on Act X for 6 weeks, I have kinda forgetten how good it makes me feel throughout the day, but once I get off I will remember the difference it made.
Diet Notes:
Carb up is fun, however my stomach feels big, as it should, but its just not a comfortable feeling, its a feeling I associate that of being "fatter" but it will take time.
Most of my general ideas are based off of UD 2.0, however I think the fact that I cant do half the workouts defeats the general purpose, so I need to find one that suits my current situation.
So I will read Steve's articles and Dana's over at leanbulk and hopefully figure it out by mid week. Any help is welcome
I would have done FitDay today, but I realized there is no way I can accurately measure the food I was going to eat today. I had to play it by eye from trial and error.

I have roughly estimated on low carb days to be about 1400-1550
I thought about using FitDay to help me refine this diet, so I will see. I need to go read Dana's BodyOpus: Reloaded and see how i can successfully do this diet the best I can while not working out my upper body; just legs, abs and cardio
Remember this is Carb Cycling

If you really want to do it for that one purpose, then it really depends on how much you value mixing the 2, personally I will try that, but wont care if it doesnt delight my taste buds, but having tried them alone, I dont see how the combo can be bad. Its really up to you

- I can only do legs, abs and cardio due to shoulder problem
(its being checked out on Monday)
- I take Act X and it runs out on Monday
- I take B-50 2-3x a day, Vitamin C 500mg 3x a day
- I eat every 3.5-4 hours except carb up days when it is 2.5-3
- I love cardio and don?t want to lose endurance, so I want to at least walk during CKD
Supplements
Size on (during workouts only)
Xtend
Superpump 250
Act X
Vitamin C and B
BodyOctane
Creatine mono (for off days, dosed at 1-1.5g 2-3x a day)
CKD has been successful so far, only thing is I consumed more carbs than a normal carb up day. I feel I should not do so since I cant do full body workouts thus defeating the full purpose of carb up days.
Questions
1) How should I schedule my high/low carb days along with my leg/ab/cardio workouts?
2) Since I am almost done with Act X, I want to start up Blue Print, how should I go about this.
3) Also want to use the new version of Lean Xtreme (7-OH, 5-AT, Forskolin, Green Tea Extract in a proprietary blend.) thoughts?
Most importantly I want this CKD diet to suit my situation if such is possible, I do lean up really great during the no carb days and could go longer without carbs if needed due to lack of fully depleting glycogen levels.

Hey guys,
I know I promised to do an final review on this the other day, however with my computer problem, the group projects (3 classes) and my test on Thursday. I am just busy as I can be, sure you have seen me online, but that is in between classes or right before I go to bed.
Thus I rather do this when i have plenty of time (Friday) that way I will be able to give the review that the product deserves along with detailed feedback of the 1st run vs. the 2nd run and the differences along the dosing for my weight, even some possible recommendations that I am sure DS will say "I told you so" but now other possible users will realize a few things hopefully.
Once again, I am sorry for the delay.

FINAL REVIEW
1st Bottle Review

2nd bottle
Things to note:
1) I increased dose from 4 to 6 a day
2) Shoulder problems showed up again forcing me to stop working out my upper body
3) I am on a CKD for the first time
4) I was in school for the 2nd bottle, while the first bottle was during vacation
5) Diet was more consistent on the 2nd bottle
Trial length (weeks): 3 weeks
Beginning body weight: 202lbs
Beginning body fat % (approx): ?
End body weight: 201lbs (still same as first bottle, just maintained)
End body fat % (approx): ?
Weight difference: -1lbs
Body fat % difference: much leaner, but then again I am new to the CKD
Give a basic description of your training and dietary approach:
Due to my shoulder I limited workouts to 3x a week and focused more on compound lifts to increase overall mass, while letting my diet help me get
those details in with the loss of fat. However once i stopped, I focused more on cardio and leg workouts.
My training approach is high reps at close to the heaviest weight possible i can do for the desired rep range, kinda like this:
1st set: 12-15
2nd: 8-12
3rd: 6-8
4th: 5-8
That was until my shoulder problems resurfaced
Plus I limit my break to 60 seconds or less. As I advanced in PT, I was allowed to try more cardio and go weights with my legs, I am still regaining my strength back in a very slow manner and I will not rush it
Diet: CKD style, its hard to really know how to do such when you are limited due to shoulder problems, but i did try to modify and most just cut out lots of those carb meals due to my body not needing so much.
I did email Dana all my details and questions. He is busy, so i have not heard back from him
Please note any effects the product had on:
Strength
Rating (1-10): N/A
Energy
Energy? This product? haha, jk. I did notice increased Stamina from the product as many have noticed I stayed in the weight longer, did more exercises and more reps. Even sex was longer and more frequent
Rating (1-10): 7
Once again I was limited at first and then limited again at the end
Mood
I handled CKD great for 2 weeks and then on week 3 had to start using some ClearEdge and more stims again. So really its hard to assess the effect Act X had on me since CKD was so new
Rating (1-10): hard to say
Sex drive
Sex drive went down a bit from the last month, probably due to the stress of school and my goals of getting on the Dean's List again, it is my last year after all, so my gf and I only saw each on Thursday - Saturday and even then we were busy as hell studying and she had to work
Rating (1-10): 7
Erection strength
Dear Rob,
I will only do this once, hope you enjoyed it the first time (no homo)
Rating (1-10):

1st bottle vs 2nd bottle FINAL THOUGHTS
Aside from the notes from below:
1) I increased dose from 4 to 6 a day
2) Shoulder problems showed up again forcing me to stop working out my upper body
3) I am on a CKD for the first time
4) I was in school for the 2nd bottle, while the first bottle was during vacation
5) Diet was more consistent on the 2nd bottle
I felt more of a difference on the 1st bottle compared to the 2nd, but that can be attributed to so many reasons:
1) I increased the dose from 4 to 6 and there is prolly no need to do such
2) I was already feeling the effects and i had been on it for 4 weeks
3) Shoulder problems limited some aspects of it
4) Body possibly got used to the effects thus diminishing returns despite the increased dose
You must remember my 2nd bottle was an experiment of my own in which I BOUGHT. I will suggest to anyone who wants to try Act X to follow the directions on dose and cycle length, maybe its me, but I felt 8 weeks (2 bottles) is too long and not worth the diminishing returns. Stick with 1 bottle, wait the recommended length or longer and then get back on. I feel this, and I am 100% sure DS feels the same, is the better strategy to get your moneys worth.
I am not sure what others have to say about 2 bottles straight, but these are my own personal experiences, sure i was limited in the workout area, but i still strongly feel these are solid recommendations for anyone who chooses Act X.
BTW - I will use this again, hopefully my shoulder will be on its way to recovery and I can experience the GREAT REM sleep I get with this.

Wonderful Zach, couldn't have asked for more. I always recommend 4 week cycles, but many have seen great results on 7-8 with ActX. I've no doubt that the schedule, injury, and diet played into a lot of the results, either way.
Good luck in school and good luck with getting everything rehabbed.

Eh, kind of at a standstill right now, but it's my own fault. There's been so much going on lately that my training got put aside. Zach-thanks again for the first log and it shows a lot about ACTX that you continued the log on after the free bottle was done. I think most people should follow the dosing protocol we laid out exactly. Thats the reason we did it. Some people will do really well at 7 or 8 weeks but for most people 4 weeks at the reccomended dose is exactly what they need. You can always run 1 bottle take 2-3 weeks off and run it again.
Great log.

I agree, I shouldnt have increased the dose, but now others can see from my experience that you should listen to DS and that if they were really after your money, they wouldnt care about your large dose. Once again THANK YOU!:D
I have another bottle, but I will run it after I find out whats wrong with my shoulders and get back on the road to recovery.
PT for my knee and ankle tendons is going great, so are my workouts in the gym. I convinced my therapist I need more therapy and less working out during my PT. Its encouraging I walked 3.1miles with some jogging and uphill running and the next day it was just barely tender and the following day, Tuesday, I hardly noticed it anymore.
On the treadmill I used to be able to do 12-14minutes before hurting bad, now I can do 36minutes before feeling the slightest pain.

Really hard to explain, there are many factors that played into account with my injury, it sucks, but its not as bad as it seems. I will see the doctor on Friday, It would have been sooner, but out of town primary care physicians and insurance referral policies suck the big one and i just want a freakin MRI and be on the road to recovery
