INTRO:


Thanks to everyone at DS for letting me log ActivaTe Extreme. I did not ever use the original ActivaTe, so needless to say I'm very excited for this after reading countless rave reviews. Designer's products are always wonderfully formulated, and they never put out anything unless it works, plain and simple.


EXPECTATIONS


Right now I'm on a low carb diet 6 days a week with 1 day refeed, so my expectations are somewhat limited. I'm hoping to continue leaning out while hopefully adding a pound or two of LBM. I'm also expecting a slight rise in libido and sex drive, and hopefully some strength gain.

ABOUT ME:



Age: 20

Sex: Male

Height: 6'1

Weight: 202 lbs.

Body type: Mesomorph

Est. BF% : 10%


TRAINING EXPERIENCE:



Started training in high school, but was specifically for football, not for bodybuilding. I started bodybuilding my freshman year of college (2 years ago). In high school I weighed about 225, and probably around 20-25% bodyfat, by my senior year in high school I was about 160lbs, and not sure of bodyfat, but it was very low. Since then I've gained over 40 pounds in 2 years while staying at or below 10% bodyfat.

DOSING:


2 caps, two times per day. Once at around 7am, the next around 5pm.

OTHER SUPPLEMENTS:



Various Proteins: (GF Pro, ON 100%, Sustain)
Bulk WMS
Bulk BCAA's
Bulk Citrulline Malate
Palo Alto Labs Incarnate
Palo Alto Labs Reset AD
Multi Vitamin
VPX NO Shotgun pre workout
Other various things that I will make a note of if taken.


I have stopped taking App Nut RPM, and Palo Alto Labs Paravol due to both of their inclusion of Icariin. I want to fairly judge ActivaTe Extreme, so I think that exculding them from my protocol will make me more accurately judge its effects. Also, since I have been taking Paravol for quite some time, I will be able to notice any drop in libido fairly easily, so I will be watching for that.

DIET:


As noted earlier, my diet right now is low carb 6 days a week, with a refeed day (high carb) on Saturdays. My diet includes : chicken breast, asparagus, mushrooms, spinach, green beans, lean ground beef, tilapia, orange roughy, peanut butter, cottage cheese, and protein powders.

Current Daily Water Intake:

1-2 gallons



I believe that is everything. If there is anything missing that the DS reps would like to see, just let me know and I'll include it. If anyone else has any questions, please ask. Time to GFH!!!!

Good luck man. I ran the the first activate with x-factor in a sponsored log about a year ago. Im doing a sponsored log on activate extreme in about a month! Looking forward to seeing how it goes for you.

One question, I noticed you are taking 4 caps per day whereas two other loggers are taking 6 capsules per day...any thoughts on this?

Unless you're over 225 lbs, then 4 caps is suffice.

Thanks Z. About the 4 caps a day....Art originally said 6 caps a day for everyone, then came back later and corrected himself and said that 4 would be fine. I'm not over 225 yet :(

Felt good today, nothing out of the ordinary. Great workout, had a nice pump, and great vascularity. Weighed in at 202lbs, so that will be my official starting point for the log. Obviously, since its day 1, nothing was really noticed that can be attributed to ActivaTe. Thats it for today, tomorrow morning I have chest, so I will update accordingly.

Really good workout man. Log is looking solid so far. By the way, I saw you had a VPX bar as one of your meals. I love those things. They are the only bar I really eat because of the awsome ingredients and they actually have enough calories to serve as a meal. Plus the pumpkin supreme tastes awsome.

how long have you been cutting buckeye?

I'm not really cutting. I'm basically doing a recomp, with a slight emphasis on cutting for summer. When fall/winter kicks in I might go back to my regular diet, but my body is responding pretty well to the low carb diet, so I might stick with it.

Excellent pump today, vascularity looks like it might be up a tad bit. I had an excellent pump today, even in my chest and triceps, which was great. My weight is still down to 200, which is kind of weird, especially since I'm not doing a whole lot of cardio. So far, no effects on libido. Tomorrow is leg day, so I will update tomorrow night!

Great workout today! Vascularity was great, and I had a sick pump after my first few sets. This was my first arm workout on ActivaTe, and it didn't let me down. I definetely had the "alpha male" attitude today at the gym, comparable to RPM. 2 thumbs up!

Awsome arm workout. I love doing superset work with my bis and tris.

Thanks! Yeah, I love supersetting with my arm workouts. It only takes me about 30-45 minutes because I dont really ever stop lifting. My arms were one of my weakest points, and ever since I started supersetting, they've made great improvements.

Great workout today! Vascularity was great, and I had a sick pump after my first few sets. This was my first arm workout on ActivaTe, and it didn't let me down. I definetely had the "alpha male" attitude today at the gym, comparable to RPM. 2 thumbs up!


Fantastic, especially since this isn't even a product in the same genre as RPM. :)

I want to note that my libido might actually be up a bit from where it was with Paravol and RPM, which is extremely surprising to me. I'm in Cleveland right now visiting my girlfriend (wink wink), and it didn't let me down. Today I have arm day :cool: I can't wait to see how my vascularity has changed with ActivaTe. I got a few comments while I was lifting and a few about an hour after lifting while in the grocery store.

As AX is likely increasing anabolic activity and metabolism, if you don't bump calories slightly, you're probly going to lose a bit of weight. IMO, its the best baseline recomp product on the market.

Bumped the cals again today, weight was about 201. Vascularity continues to be improving, as well as my ab definition. A few of my lifts went up from my last arm workout also. One thing I notice on ActivaTe is that I seem to recover from set to set faster than without it.

Yep, I played football for about 8 years, and the coaches always made us do squats. My legs are easily my strongest body part.

The last couple nights I have noticed that I have been sleeping more sound, and not waking up as much in the middle of the night. I know I have seen this as an effect of Divanil, but didn't start to experience it until a few nights ago. I wake up much more refreshed than without it.

*Today will be an off day because I will driving to Georgia and obviously will not have time to get to the gym because of the 12-14 hour drive :(

Wow, my chest hasn't been this sore in a LONG time. I think I'm definitely going to stick with this routine for awhile to see how it works out. My weight is up to 201, and I am still looking and feeling pretty hard on my off day, which makes me happy.

I'm finding it kind of hard to bump my calories up, because I can't find the time to eat more often, and really can't eat more when I do eat. I have not been supplementing with any digestive enzymes, so I bought Enzymedica Digest Gold and started taking it to help make what I do eat more efficient. Anyways, my delts are getting absolutely ripped to shreds, and I have pretty good seperation between all three heads. It seems to be getting better and better with each workout. Weight is at 201.

I did a few of my squat sets with my feet together, and it absolutely roasted my quads. I usually do my squats with my legs about shoulder length apart or a little closer together, but I had never done them with my feet together before. It definitely gave me an intense pump, especially with the high reps. It felt like my quads were going to explode. Weight is up to 202. Libido is also very high ;)

It sure does, I had never used ActivaTe before. In fact the only ingredient I have pretty good experience with is the Icariin, but never in the 20% extraction. So really, everything in ActX is new for me, and I really love it. I ordered 2 bottles, so I'll be using it again this fall :)

Good to hear! I have been starting to do wide grip pull ups and I can only get around 8-10 tops and I never seem to improve. How often do you do pull ups?

I start off every back workout with pullups. Something that REALLY helped me bring my back up was bodyweight chinups. I highly recommend you adding them to your routine if you don't do them already.

Im not exactly sure what hes doing at this moment but i know at the end of summer he was working like 10 hrs a week, had no time for the forum... Now im assuming hes workign AND going to school which takes up even more time :eek:
