View Full Version : Final two weeks Sodium Question!

alright fellas. i have two weeks and 2 days until my first show. I am eating the hell out of those frozen chicken breasts right now and gettting about 5 grams of sodium per day (i believe this qualifies as sodium loading) my questions are ...

1) On what day do i begin my sodium depletion?
2) What are the BEST sources of low sodium foods to eat?
3) How much dandilion root should i be taking and when do i start it?
4) What should the water intake be for the final week leading up to show day?
5) How much water should i expect to loose due to sodium depletion?

My bodyfat % is around 4 -5 % right now with all this sodium in my system I just nervous i wont get that thin skinned look on show day but i know i look flat due to the salt and lack of carbs in my diet. any help is greatly appreciated!

I've read Laynes article but it seems kinda vague on what foods to eat and exactly how much sodium should be present in the body to reach peak conditioning.

1. cut added salt in half thursday, cut added salt out on friday
2. not really an issue just eat whole foods
3. shouldn't need it
4. 2 gallons a day
5. depends on how much your retaining.
