Well the much awaited and talked about for 8+ years the Nirvana box set will be released on November 23rd. With 81 tracks, 63 unreleased and a DVD it should be pretty good.

Well I figured since they've done a god awful job marketing it not to many people knew about it. If you want to see a really good preview go on the website:

http://www.nirvanabox.com

and click Video, and then the boxset trailer. It's a good preview trailer of what it's going to be about.

Plus you guys have got to understand that many songs on this boxset are EXTREMELY sought after! "Do Re Mi" for example was recorded at Kurt's home literally two weeks before he died. Other songs are demos before they were ever officialy recorded; Teen Spirit from the DVD is from the show in Seattle where it was performed live for the first time ever; others are home recordings, outtakes, rare, and many are unreleased; songs we never even knew existed! So hardcore Nirvana fans had a wetdream when this sort of information was released.

Unplugged has been aired in its entirity. It is not officially released, but you can get. I have it, and its a great show.
If anyone's interested, this website is extremely well documented following the bands live career. It has every show ever played, along with the setlist, whether or not it has surfaced, sound quality, location of show, aswell as pictures.

i'll be in line to buy it next week...but the funny thing is i've heard most of these "unreleased" song over the past few years, especially on the night when the news was released that Kurt died.

the radio station here in nyc played tribute to kurt all night playing a bunch of demos, live and unreleased songs. also while in high school (1995), one of my buddies picked up a 2 disc import from Japan that contains almost all the songs listed on this box set :)

I Have A Feeling This Will Be Big And Sell Fast So Fast That If Your Not In Line When The Store Opens Your Gonna Have To Wait. I Cant Wait Til Tommorrow When It Comes Out. They Make Awesome Gifts. I SEEN YOU CAN ORDER IT FOR 53 BUCKS ON THE ABOVE NIRVANA WEBSITE. BUT YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR IT TO COME TO YOUR HOUSE.

Just picked the Boxset up today, and IT ROCKS!!!!!!
Very obscure tracks, even for the hardcore fan. I asked the guy at the record store when I bought if it was selling fast, and he goes "oh yeah!".
Definetly won't be wasting your money on this item, even if you only enjoy the bad for their hits.
