Why o why o why has this thread been locked. Why ? Did we come to a difinative conclution ?

Why is it that we have rubbish trash talk anoying threads that go on for ever in the supplement forum, but the supplement science forum where the more in depth advanced stuff where people can refernce back to and correct the kiddies in the other forums are constantly locked.

The need for daily creatine supplementation talk is not over just yet.

This morning as I woke up I thought about this very subject. We know that after a 5 day loading phase followed by no creatine supplementation for 30 days showed only a decrease of 20% in creatine stores.

Now if we were to only have a 3g maintanace dose 3 times a week would keep creatine levels higher than no supplementation at all but what happens past the point of 30 days. You guessed it it progressively decreases further and forther requiring a further loading phase to resaturate and keep the responsiveness of the supplement up.

Maybe a normal dosage of one 5 g dosage or two 5g doses for mass on training days and one on rest days is the way to go. Then later you can cut back to one 5g dose per day then only on training days and then a period of non use. A 20% decrease is significant and would be noticable, taking a 5 g dose 5 times a week may get that dcrease to 5% and that we can live without thus eleminating the effects of down regulating. After a period of non use a reload phase can be induced keeping creatne and ATP stores maxed out so that your getting the full effect of the supplement without down regulation.

If you are going to take creatine load every 6 weeks thats what i do and in between each loading week take in 5-10g every day

why? once your creatine stores are full, they are full so what is the purpose of loading every 6 weeks while on creatine? Science has determined that creatine stores are full at Day 28 whether you use 40, 20, 10, 5 or 3grams.

With creatine mono, i prefer to take 3-4 1g doses spread through the day.

Can you back those claims Zach. 3-4 doses a day goes against my rule, "keep it simple". Dont see a need for 3-4 doses.

Ahh buddy i dont think u no wat ur talking about! Creatine is always being drained if excessive exercise is happening 4-6 times a week... so there for creatine hasto be taken to have the best use of your CP energy SYStem!!!!!

Creatine is synthesized endogenously, did you know that? Probably not. Studies have subjects training frequently.

sure keeping it simple is great, but you never backed up yours. Reason i do 3-4 doses spread out is my body does not react well to lots of creatine mono at the same time. I love creatine mono, however when I use SizeOn and Clout my body seems fine as far as all that creatine in one dose
