Hey Derek, tought you could answer these ones>

Imagine someone wants to bulk for a lot of time, 1, 2 or even more years.
Would you advise a program like Bulk for 2 weeks, the Diet for 2 weeks, and so on, to stimulate growth with higher calories. Or keep always bulking, not geating rid of fat, and use it to up testosterone levels and such?

If steroid hormones are made from cholestrol, wouldnt it make sense
for bodybuilders to augment their cholestrol levels?

If only fat and carbohydrates make you fat, and fat gives you more energy, shouldnt diets be low on carbs and high on fatty acids?

If the skeletal muscle hypertrophies because of overloading, wouldnt
powerlifting makes us grow?

Thanks in advance.

you are WAAAAAAY oversimplifying metabolism. It is much much much much more complex than that. Carbs do not make you fat. Nothing makes you fat. Overeating in general with low activity levels makes you fat.

And synthesis of testosterone from cholesterol is a multi step process with several highly regulated steps. Increasing your cholesterol will NOT increase your testosterone.

Powerlifting will make you grow.

Supplementing with cholesterol will not make you grow. I have need to read back up on it, but the liver pretty much keeps cholesterol levels at a stable levels. When you eat a lot of cholesterol, your liver produces less. If you don't eat a lot, your liver produces more. There would be no need to supplement with additional cholesterol above what you get in your diet.

As Layne pointed out, it is not as simple as carbs make you fat or fat makes you fat. There are so many variables that contribute to fat storage. Like current muscle glycogen levels, when you last worked out, when you last meal was, the total calories you've consumed so far that day, etc.

Moderation is the key :)
