Hello Ladies

I'm hoping to shape up for Jan 4 (am going away to Dom. Republic and work well with deadlines :) ) I'm in pretty good shape and only want to loose about 5-7 lbs, but would like to have some nice muscle definition. I thought that starting a food/exercise journal would help me with the motivation as well as dicipline. The info on this site is unbelievable!! I am very interested in fitness and would like to learn more,so any input would be helpful. I have a bingeing problem that I would also like to conquor. With the food diary I am not going to count calories, (It will get me too obsessed) just focus on healthy meals/portions.

breakfast:
8 egg white omlette
2 chicken sausages
ketchup
2 cups coffee w/ splenda and milk

snack : large bananna

Lunch: 1 cup veggie stew, salad w/ veggie dog & oil&vinegar

Dinner: 2 large turkey wraps

Snack: apple

40 min walk
100 sit ups
was not able to do full workout today

Hello and welcome. The first thing you should do is to get your diet in order. Take a look at Buffed Wild Cat's suggestions here: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=290201

Next is to get your training program together. What are your goals?

Thanks for the link dbflgirl-great info! I am so lost when it comes to diet, but I did'nt think my diet was that bad (blushing)
I can now see I need to eat WAY more protein. My goal is to firm up in general, basically to get ripped and to establish a routine. I used to be a "cardio junkie" but have now learned (through trial and error) that lifting is key. I am not overweight (5'7" 120) but I feel like a soft 120. Another goal of mine is to stop bingeing. It has been a problem of mine for about 4 years, although it has not affected my weight it has affected me emotionally.
