It was suugested to me to post this question in the womens area, so here goes...

I guess exercise forum is the best place to ask this... Um even though its not a body building program I thought maybe you ppl might know something about it. I have lost about 120 pounds (thanks in great deal to things I've read on forum) and was wanting to get my body fit now that most the fat is gone. I was wanting to slim my waist and stuff. Winsor Pilates looks interesting to me, does it work? I doubt it works nearly as good as it does on TV, but any one have/know anyone that has had positive results from it? Thanks

I guess peeps think of pilates as a girl thing~although my gym mat classes are full of guys.
Pilates is great~it is how I developed my original core strength. If you are looking to "tone" please know that you can't really do that. It is a matter of correctly training to develop overall muscle development~that, along with good diet, reasonable BF, and your genetics will give you your best body~whatever that might be.
I have always done pilates in classes with an instructor. They are very precise movements and I don't know that I would have gotten the same results watching them on a video. But lots of people swear by the videos, so go for it!
