My abdominal routine will consist of 3 sets Swiss Ball situps (12-15 reps) followed by 3 sets of leg raises (12 15 reps) on day 2, to target the ab wall.
On Day 4, my abdominal routine will consist of 3 sets of side planks (12-15 reps), followed by 3 sets of oblique crunches (12-15 reps)

My bench has reached a major plateau. I've worked endlessly to bust through the plateau but it isn't really happening- Ive tampered with my diet, increased calories, tampered with the amounts of carbs and protein- I've changed my rep scheme, my exercises, volume, you name it. On the other hand, my squat is slowly increasing, and my deadlift is rapidly increasing.

Now, thanks to the kind folks at Athletic Edge Nutrition, i will be supplied with a months worth of IntraXCell, their beta-alanine formula. Along with that I've been given a week's supply of steel edge, their highly regarded pre-workout formula.
Don't know what beta-alanine is? Lucky for you, Sebastian Balcomb took his time out to tell you exactly what it is, and it's place in the future of bodybuilding supplementation- http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/beta_alanine.htm

This is just a preview for my log (my first log ever). When this stuff comes in the mail, I will be 100% certain on all of my 1rm's, and will list all of my measurements. My diet and lifting routine will stay constant, providing you with an accurate idea of what IntraXCell did for me. Check back in a few days and all of my "before" stats will be present.

This is going to get interesting! So check back---

I had a chest/triceps/shoulder day today.

The workout routine posted above is a rough guideline of what a workout day might be like for me. I like to fool around with different exercises, amount of reps, and number of sets, especially on my chest day. For today...

*Flat Barbell Bench press
-165x8
-165x7
-175x4

*Incline Barbell Bench press
-135x8
-135x6
-135x6
-135x5
-145x4 (Failed 5th rep)

*Dips with bodyweight
-x8
-x7
-x7
-x12 (15 pounds assistance)

*1 Dumbbell triceps extensions
-45x10
-45x8
-45x6 (failed 7th rep)

*Pec deck flies
-110x8
-110x6

*Seated military press on smith machine
-95x10
-95x8
-95x7
-85x10 (failed 11th rep)

*Dumbbell side raises
-15'sx10
-15'sx8 (failed 9th rep)

My energy was solid throughout this workout. My flat bench press felt strong, and i definitely had a 9th rep in me on my first set which would have been a PR for that weight. But no need to push myself that hard on my first set. The pump looked very solid today, i don't know if it was just the new under armour shirt i got, but i looked especially ripped today. My arms have a bit of a tan to them right now- so i like the way theyve looked when pumped up the past couple days.

My lower back was still a bit sore from heavy deadlifts yesterday, but it didnt affect my workout in any way.

Tomorrow it's squats, abs, and HIIT to boot. Should be interesting.

NOTE: THIS WORKOUT WAS WITHOUT INTRAXCELL. WHEN INTRAXCELL ARRIVES I WILL WARN YOU.

Alright, thanks.

peace
J

First day with IXL and steel edge!

First thing's first.

-Steel Edge-
Taste (mixed with OJ)= 8/10 Easy to get down, pretty sweet and tangy

Mixibility= 8/10 A few small clumps that subsided after 30 seconds stirring

Energy= 10/10 I had flat out energy, and my workout partner could feel my intensity.

Focus= 10/10 All i could think about was the next set. Period.

First impression= 10/10 It's all about energy and focus and this is the best i've ever had.

Now for my workout...

Today i started out with some 20 rep squats which i have been doing for some time now.

I tried out 135 and busted out 20 reps with relative ease- I probably had a couple more in me :)

Then i went into my back/biceps routine.

Started with bent rows with 105 lbs. I busted out 12 my first set, 11 my second set. Then i dropped to 95 for my next two sets and was successful pulling 12 reps both times.

I did some seated rows to follow it up and was able to do four sets of 10 reps with near failure on my last set.

I felt strong on my pullups. I used a level 10 resistance, and did some wide grip pullups, busting out 10, 10, 9, 8 successively.

For biceps isolation i did 3 sets straight bar curls (55 lbs). I managed 12 reps on my first two sets, and gutted out 11.5 reps with good form for my last set.

I finished off with a couple sets of hammer curls. 25's in each hand.
First set- 10 reps
Second set- 9 reps, failed 10th

Overall, i felt incredibly focused throughout the workout. My endurance was noticeably solid today- but multiple things could have contributed to that. Today was a powerful workout for me- more mentally than physically. I broke a few 2nd and 3rd set PR's on exercises which was very satisfying. But more than anything, i broke my focus and energy PR- if there was such a thing.

Time will tell if this workout was some sort of placebo or whatever. Time will tell. Nonetheless, im excited about the way my workout went. And im pumped for my chest/shoulder/triceps/abs workout tomorrow.

thanks

Ok, very nice start and glad you are enjoying SteelEdge so far and maybe no tweaking is needed judging by your fist experience. :)

Here are the typical strategies I always suggest to people using SteelEdge.

1. The fist time you take SE, I suggest just take one packet per the directions(15-20 mins preWO)

2. The second time, I suggest you take half the packet preWO and sip on the rest duing your workout.

Compare which you prefer.

3.Lastly, go up to 1.5 packs and see how it compared to one packet.

These scenarios will dial in the optimal dose and timing to maximize SE's effects for you.

Congrads on your PR, always awesome to read.:D

Wow. It's been a wild week to say the least. Last Friday i received the news that my aunt and uncle were in a car accident. My uncle was severely injured, and my aunt didn't make it. So on Saturday i boarded a plane to Wisconsin for the funeral. We spent the week just outside Madison for the week and kept my uncle company. It was a stressful, depressing week for me. I made it back into town today and gathered up the strength to get on with life. And yes, that means i hit the gym. HARD. It really helped me take my mind off all that has happened.

So here's what went down... I had a little catching up to do.

*LEGS
+Squats 140lbs 20 reps

+Stiff leg deads 150lbs 15 reps

+donkey calf raises 200lbs 30 reps
25 reps
180lbs 30 reps (failed 31)

+Standing Calf raises 280 lbs 8 reps
8 reps
300 lbs 6 reps (Failed 7)

*BACK/BICEPS
+Bent rows 105 lbs 10 reps (****ty form on 11)
9 reps (****ty form on 10th, damnit!)
7 reps
95lbs 10 reps

+T bar row (vert grip) 45 lbs 9 reps
9 reps
50 lbs 7 reps

+Seated row with pulley 50(x2) 12 reps
13 reps (failed 14th)

+Wide grip pull up lvl 10 assist. 8 reps
lvl 11 8 reps
7 reps (failed 8)
lvl 12 8 reps (failed 9)

+Straight Bar curl 55 lbs 12 reps
10 reps
9 reps (failed 10)

+Hammer curls 20(x2)lbs 10 reps
13 reps

*ABS
+Swiss ball situps x25 x20 x20

Felt awesome. Focus was top notch. Energy was pretty solid. PR for 20 rep squats (previously 135 lbs). The pump was amazing. I liked the way my arms looked in the mirror. Thats a good feeling after 6 days away from the gym. Stamina in the gym was pretty solid today. I took my 3 pills IXL before and 3 after. I definitely felt strong as i hit the biceps isolation exercises, which is rare for me. I usually feel beaten and weak, but i felt pretty solid throughout today. Chest/triceps will be tomorrow. I will eat solid, drink lots of water, and wake up- Ready to get this log on the road of consistency. Thank you, and my apologies to AEN for the 6 day log lapse. *sigh*. Sh** happens.

Yeah so this was quite a workout. I have been steady on all my weights, despite shetting 4 pounds these past 2 weeks! If anything, im feeling a bit stronger. My endurance was excellent throughout today's workout, and my focus was ridiculous. Perfect flow of energy. Just an amazing day of lifting- havent ever felt so "in the zone". Pump was pretty solid, veins popping.
I definitely felt like the Steel Edge sipping method gave me a better flow of energy and much better focus. I was already delighted with Steel Edge's effects, but no doubt, I have learned to take its effects to the next level. I was stoked about the level of comfort i had going from one exercise to the next. It just felt perfect. Can't wait for my next chest day!

Getting back on track, no ground lost, im stoked. The end.

Once IntraXCell, starts significantly boosting your carn levels, it will make a huge difference on these high reps exercises.

Keep us posted..if you can still crawl to the keyboard and type some updates! :)

Jamier11
07-22-2007, 04:15 PM
Haha yep ive made it back to the keyboard.

Today i woke up and didnt have too much energy. Didnt feel driven to go to the gym. I just wasnt feeling it. I had to mow my lawn, which takes about an hour, so i was relatively fatigued after doing so. I started off my drinking my whey shake and drinking my green mag. Then i did a half dose of steel edge and bottled the rest for sipping at the gym. Took my three caps of IXL and headed off to the gym.

*20 rep squats*- 145 lbs- SUCCESS! (PR)
I was barely able to leg out the 17th rep, but the 18th 19th and 20th felt identical to the 17th. Was absolutely stoked to get out the 20th rep with solid form (below parrallel). My legs felt like jelly after and i was short of breath. I followed up with some light weight pullovers as a recovery exercise.

*15 rep stiff legged deads*- 155lbs- SUCCESS (PR)
This was a five pound increase from my last workout, i probably had a couple more reps with good form left in me, but i settled for my goal at 15 reps.

My energy at this point was pretty low. My focus wasn't quite there either. I continued to sip my steel edge and moved on to abs.

*Hanging leg raises- BW- x13, x9

*side planks- BW- 1 min, 1 min

*decline twists with 8 lb med ball- x30, x25

My energy level was low during my leg raises but i felt a little bit more energy during my side planks and decline twists.

I finished off with my cardio. HIIT style.
4 mins @ 7mph--->30 sec 10mph--->45 sec 7mph--->45 sec 10 mph--->30 sec 7 mph--->30 sec 11 mph--->45 sec 7 mph---> 45 sec 12 mph---1 min 7.5 mph

Energy was at its highest point during cardio. Probably an 8/10 for energy. Great run. Good production considering my energy level. The energy level was not a concern to me because i know it was due to only 7 hours of sleep and mowing the lawn. Solid workout, 2 PR's. Im not too concerned.

Current weight: 181.5 lbs

-4.5 lbs since i started my cut 2.5 weeks ago, and my lifts are slightly increasing!

Tomorrow is just intense cardio.

Peace,

J

Today was the greatest lifting day of my life. Period. I shattered numerous PR's and felt zero fatigue throughout. I was very jittery and lightheaded at the beginning of my workout (rockstar 10 AM, steel edge preworkout... Whoops), but about 30 mins or so into my workout i felt smooth and powerful.

I'm not one to make big jumps from workout to workout so I was shocked when i busted out new PR's left and right. It was just ridiculous- Ive never handled my previous workouts' weights with such ease. Time to up the weights next week!!! Can't wait to see if this madness carries into chest day on Thursday.

Wow.

I think the IXL is starting to kick in, because my endurance is clearly not a placebo, it has flat out improved on when you look at my lifts.

Hamstrings/Cardio workout

Preworkout routine Took 1 scoop of ON 100% GS whey, 5 g of Green Mag, a bowl of kashi golean, half packet of steel edge (only used half of it in total because it was not a big day of lifting), and finally, three IntraXcell caps.

I hit hamstrings 3x a week, and do a single set of 15 reps (stiff legged deads), at a weight that brings me to the brink of failure each workout.

For today...

Stiff legged Deadlifts 165lbs x15 PR!

Cardio 18 minutes on the treadmill, HIIT style, 45 second intervals of 7 mph and 11mph back to back for 12 of those minutes! Difficult. Great workout!

Even with half the steel edge packet today i was energized and ready to go.

Tomorrow is chest day. I have seen some great gains this week for my legs, back, biceps... Will be filled with pure adrenaline and excitement if i can carry the gains into chest day.

Will add the rest a bit later!!

Abs went well, focused on obliques with some twisting movements and side leg raises. 3 sets each exercise.

Overall i was disappointed with this workout. My muscular endurance was down, later sets for less reps. My overhead press was surprisingly weak. A few things could be causing this. Maybe i need to take 5 days rest in between each chest day (im on a 5 day split now, allowing 4 days rest). Or possibly taking a half dose of steel edge today caused me to get a bit less energized, thus bringing down my endurance in later sets. Possibly my shoulders need an extra day of rest, or possibly 6 sets is too much for them. What do people think?

Today's workout went well. I did 20 rep squats at 155 lbs!! New PR. I keep adding 5 pounds and succeeding. Good feeling.

I did 12 mins HIIT, 5 mins jump rope, and 5 mins of intense biking. Energy was great with a half serving of Steel Edge. Can see my top 4 abs pretty well now. Will keep slowly cutting! Advice is appreciated.

One more thing. My cardio endurance right now is excellent... Could that have anything to do with the IXL? I ran 2 miles in 11:58 on the treadmill, a PR. Seems suspicious ;)

Advice is appreciated!!!

Back/Biceps +20 rep squat/abs

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/totw_40_blap_fbig.jpg

Preworkout thoughts: With a half serving of steel edge, i had the ultimate weightlifting mentality. Pure focus, adrenaline, and motivation. I hit the weights full steam ahead and gave my muscles the best workout i could physically and mentally deliver.

How the Friggin' workout went down

20 rep squat- 160 lbs- SUCCESS (PR)

Back
Bent row
105 lbs x 10
x 8
95 lbs x 9
85 lbs x 11 (failed 12)

Upright row
60 lbs x8
70 lbs x7
60 lbs x10

Seated dual pulley row
60's x 9
x 8
50's x 14 (barely)

Wide grip pullups
lvl 8 assist x 9
x 8
lvl 10 assist x 7
lvl 12 assist x 9

Note: My numbers are lower than usual here because i was hyper focusing on good form- VERY slow reps.

Bicep Isolation
Straight Bar Curls

55lbs x 12
x 12

DB curls w/ hammer twist
30's x 8
25's x 8

Hammer Curls
25's x 10
20's x 12 (failed 13)

And then abs. Swiss ball sit ups and romain chair knee raises. 6 sets.

Post workout thoughts: Steel Edge is the sh**. That's all there is to it. I had so much energy today, I could have run 4 miles at the end of my workout. But i didnt want to overdo it. To anyone reading this who has not tried Steel Edge, it makes NoXplode (for those who swear by it and have tried nothing else) seem like cheap candy. Steel Edge is the real deal. It has you revved up throughout your entire workout and for pretty much the rest of the day.
I felt pretty strong today. I really focused on my form today and gave less thought to rep numbers. I got a great pump in my biceps and sweet stiffness through my lats and middle back. It was the kind of workout that i need more of.
For my post workout meal i had two servings of oats, 2 flax seed oil capsules, two scoops of whey protein, half my multivitamin, and my second serving of IntraXCell. My endurance is ridiculous right now. Not necessarily my lifting endurance (although i think it has increased), but especially my cardiovascular and mental endurance. I feel like i can flat out endure more punishing workouts lately. My muscles recuperate from exercise to exercise very comfortably.
While my numbers are skyrocketing, they are remaining very steady through my cut, which is a first. My numbers have always decreased during a cut. What does that tell you? I've dropped six pounds since getting starting IXL, and my lifts have remained constant, and some have increased (SQUAT!!). I'm in somewhat of a lifting nirvana right now. It's all good.

Peace,

J

Well instead of hamstrings and abs today, i figured four days of resting my chest was adequate. So i gave it a go.

Pre workout: Felt great. Although i had no Steel Edge today, i was able to rev myself up with some green tea with added ginseng, a couple green tea extract pills, and a caffeine pill. It was a pure lifting day- all i could think about was giving my chest a great pump and putting up solid numbers. I had my Intraxcell serving and was officially dialed in.

Post workout: I had two servings of oatmeal, a banana, my whey shake, and two flax seed oil capsules. I got a great pump today and was very satisfied with the numbers i put up. Im sure I set more PR's than i posted, but i made sure to include the one that was important to me today. My endurance was excellent, my focus was top notch, and i loved every last rep burn. Felt phenomenal. I credit my overall muscular endurance today to IXL. My muscles are always ready for the next set, the next exercise, the next big burn. My body is craving the weights. Yesterday's Back/Biceps/20 rep squat workout

http://governing.typepad.com/photos/uncategorized/arnold_1.jpg

Key Exercise: The PULL UP. Supinated, Semi supinated, regular, and wide grip. The more ive read about back/biceps routines the more ive come to realize how important the pullup/chin up is. In this workout i really gave the pull up the attention it deserves by doing 5 sets to kick off my back routine. You have to admit, the guys you see doing pull up after pull up have the widest, most intimidating backs in the gym. At least from my experience.

I kicked it off with the 20 rep squat. 170 lbs. I took some long breaths in between reps and ended up doing quite a bit more breathing than squatting, but i busted out 20 solid ones, nearly collapsing after i finished my 20th rep. Legs shaking, gasping for air. But i did it. SUCCESS, and PR! I did some lightweight pullovers for a recovery exercise

-Pull ups/Chin ups-
Supinated chins
lvl 6 assist x 5

Semi-Supinated chins
lvl 8 assist x 8
lvl 8 assist x 7

Pull ups
lvl 8 assist x 5

Wide-grip pull ups
lvl 10 assist x 8 (barely)

Note: My lats were sorer than ever after executing this multi grip approach to pull ups and chin ups. Felt swole. I like this approach, what do you think?

Bent Rows (Lighter weight today because i started with pull ups)
95 x 8 (barely)
85 x 9
85 x 9
75 x 10 with short rest after (20-30 sec)
75 x 9 (failed10) wide-grip used

Seated rows with pulley
50's x 12
60's x 7 (failed 8)
60's x 9 (little faster reps, solid though!)
70's x 6 (failed 7. Didnt even expect 6)

Straight Bar Curl
55 x 15 (PR)
65 x 6
55 x 10 (failed 11)

Hammer Curls
25's x 8
25's x 8
25's x 7

Note: I was looking pretty darn swole during my hammers. Was seeing some striations in the shoulders and biceps, along with some veins that I didn't know I had.

I finished off with some forearm work. And after all of this, my arms were looking fuller than ever. And at 180 lbs now! I can definitely tell that my bf% has lowered due to my overall increase in vascularity along with some new striations.

Energy was solid throughout. Endurance was excellent. My muscles seem to be fatiguing less and less as i consume more blue capsules ;)

Pull-ups always kick my back days off. Gets the juices flowing, although it always kills my back for any work after...I love them and I'm happy you are focusing on such a core movement.

It's AWESOME to hear that you're experiencing an increase in vascularity. Sometimes little signs and perks like that are great reminders to us ..that it really is all worth it ;)

Chest Workout of 8/5

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/images/2006/flex_oct06a.jpg

BB bench press
135x10
185x2 (think my form was just bad)
155x6 (relative ease)
155x6

Incline DB press
55'sx6 (hmmm, should be able to get more than this)

Dips Semi-slow reps, concentrating on form
lvl 6x10
lvl 6x9
lvl 6x10 (good sign- ENDURANCE :))
lvl 6x8 (failed 9)

Incline Skull Crushers-because Mr. Aries does 'em ;)
50x8
50x8
50x9 (failed 10)
Really liked these, I might do them next time as well

Smith Machine Overhead Press
50x12
50x8 (slow reps)
50x8 (failed 9)

Lateral raises
10'sx12
10'sx14

Front Raises
10'sx12
10'sx10

Abs
Swiss ball situps +6 lbs x20 x25 x25

Incline bench knee-ups
x15 x15 x14 (failed 15)

Finished it all off with some intense cardio, HIIT style, of course.

Great energy this workout, some lifts were slightly disappointing. But alas, I am on a cut, and have managed to lose 6 lbs and keep all lifts at least where they were when i started. Thats an accomplishment in itself. As soon as my lifts start to dip down to where i was before the cut, I will go into bulk mode for a few months.

For the most part, it's looking good. Great endurance with the weights and on the treadmill. Couldn't ask for more at this point.

Peace,

LEGS

http://www.gamerevolution.com/oldsite/games/ps2/action/incredible_hulk_ultimate_destruction_strong.jpg

Workout of 8/7

20 rep squats have now ended for me. They have served me well, but it's time to return to my all-in-one leg days. My hammies were a little sore still, so i decided not to do any direct hamstring exercises. My routine boiled down to squats and sumo dead lifts. This is how it went:

Squats
175x10
175x8
155x8
155x8
135x12

Sumo Deads
225x10
225x9
245x8
265x6

Donkey Calf Raises
210x16
210x12
180x12
180x18
140x18
90x25

Squat Comments: I went very low on all my squats and made sure not to bounce at the bottom of the rep. I have definitely made strength gains since i last did multi set squats. Very satisfying. While my squat is still lagging far behind my dead lift, it has improved considerably.

Sumo Dead Lift Comments: I had never tried the sumo stance prior to this workout. I was pleased to find out that the stance felt natural for me and took little to no getting used to. I felt that I was doing a little less lower back work and a little more leg work. Which is perfect for me because my legs are lagging a bit.

Donkey Calf Raise Comments: I really focused on having that mind-muscle connection during this exercise. I have corrected my form by making sure i do not bounce at the bottom of the rep. The positive and negative rep have a nice separation. I definitely feel that i beat my calves up the way they should be.

I will probably switch up my biceps isolation work a bit, just to make sure im hitting the fibers in my bi's from every angle to get some growth!

I will be heading to the gym in about 30 mins.

By the way, i have a little protein shake recipe to share with all of you. It's great for a pre-bedtime meal. IT TASTES SO GOOD!!

1 frozen banana
3/4 cups fat free cottage cheese
two scoops chocolate whey protein
1 cup fat free milk
1 small handful of frozen blueberries

Blend and enjoy. The banana keeps the shake cold, and the chocolate blueberry taste is delightfully amazing.
Plenty of casein, plenty of whey. So it's also great at any point of the day. And low fat, perfect for my cut :)

I will be heading to the gym in about 30 mins.

By the way, i have a little protein shake recipe to share with all of you. It's great for a pre-bedtime meal. IT TASTES SO GOOD!!

1 frozen banana
3/4 cups fat free cottage cheese
two scoops chocolate whey protein
1 cup fat free milk
1 small handful of frozen blueberries

Blend and enjoy. The banana keeps the shake cold, and the chocolate blueberry taste is delightfully amazing.
Plenty of casein, plenty of whey. So it's also great at any point of the day. And low fat, perfect for my cut :)

That shake sounds amazing :)

Tear it up in the gym!!!

Wow, what a workout. My endurance was through the roof today. My strength drop offs from set to set were negligible! Unbelievable. This workout really served as the greatest proof to me that Intraxcell is infesting my muscles and making a freaking difference! No doubt, my carnosine levels must be at an all time high--- I AM TIRELESS! If rest was unnecessary, I would be doing 300 sets a workout.
Another thing, I am looking more veiny than ever. By the end of today's workout my biceps were pumped and busting with veins like never before. I can definitely see the effects of my decreasing bf%. And the greatest part is, none of my lifts are decreasing! *pumps fist*

Tomorrow is chest day, SO CHECK IN!
Peace,

J

Awesome feedback, increasing strength, while getting leaner, can't ask for more then that. :)

Funny thing, I was just in a sports nutrition store a couple hours ago and one of the employees taking IntraXCell, had this HUGE grin on his face, basically saying something along VERY similar lines. Dude, I just felt like I could keep going and going, the weights weren't tiring me. I've never felt like that before in the gym.:) He's only 2-3 weeks in to his first bottle too...lol I hope you guys that are enjoying your first bottle, go on to pick up another one or two. Because you will still get much more from IXL in months two and three.

Yes, the guys at the store are all on AEN products, as it's very close to my gym and I go there almost everyday after I workout. Lets just say they know a thing or two about beta-alanine by now. :) As do many of the customers.

Good to hear you will continue on. Perhaps we can thank you down the road when our new product comes out. :)

So, i got my shipment of AST Multipro 32x in the mail today, in replace of Animal Pak which i have run out of.

To accommodate for the extra money needed to take add IntraXCell to my regular stack, I had to free up some money. AST's multi is supposed to be pretty damn good and is very cost efficient. It's a little on the iron-heavy side, with 6 mg per serving (2 servings each day). But if I can keep iron in my diet to a minimum it should be fine.

Anyways, I would have typed up my numbers from my chest day yesterday, but i left my notepad in my locker, at the gym. No worries, I'll grab it today during my cardio session. It'll be up later. So check the **** in!

Yeah it was quite a cardio session.

12 mins HIIT treadmill.

5 mins high intensity stair climber

2 mins sprint on treadmill

5 mins medium speed on bike

5 mins intense jump rope

3 minutes stair climber with 18 lb medicine ball in hands

165x5
155x7
145x8

DB incline
50sx7
45sx12
45sx8 (failed 9, slower reps) 15 secs rest
45sx5 (failed 6)

Dips
BWx8
BWx6
BWx6 (failed 7)
BWx5 (failed 6)
Looks like I might need to add some weight in the near future :D

Incline Skull Crushers
50x12
50x10
50x10 (failed 11)

Single DB triceps extensions
50x8
50x6 (failed 7)

DB Shoulder Presses
35x6
30x9
30x8
30x8 (failed 9)

Lat raises
10sx10
10sx12

Followed all this with some abs work.
swiss ball sit ups x30 x28 x25
romain chair leg raises x15 x15 x12

Overall, i had a very solid workout today. My chest numbers are dipping down a tiny bit, but im not concerned. Somehow, my triceps isolations and my dips are remaining consistent and even increasing a bit. My abs are really starting to poke through. All this ab work, HIIT, and strict dieting is starting to pay off. :D

Seated Calf Raises
110x20
Standing Calf Raises
240x18
240x15

Plate-Loaded Hamstring Curls
90x8
90x8
90x8

I finished this off with some abs work
Swiss ball sit ups x25 x20(+10 lbs) x20(+10 lbs)
Decline leg raises x13 (failed 14)

Then 5 mins at 10 mph on treadmill

Wow, what a workout. I had infinite energy. IXL really pushed me through these supersets. I never used to have the muscular endurance needed for painful supersets like this. But today, squats with calf raises, sumos with more calf raises- No problem. All I can say to the folks at AEN is Thank You. This has been pretty inspiring. My IXL order will go down tomorrow, and I will be lined up for more of this madness. :D

Thanks,

J

Hmm interesting. How deep do you do your wall sits? When i used to do them way back when, i just stayed parallel, and it didnt make my knees feel to good. Any advice there?

I just keep my knees at a 90 degree angle or so......my heels are directly below my knees......

It doesnt bother my knees at all. Just my quads!!!

Well, time to put some closure to this log. I will start up another IXL log as soon as college starts (september). But for now, i would like to thank the folks at AEN (Skircus, Sebastian, Redhawk especially) for following my entire log, encouraging my progress, and lending any advice necessary.

I would like to give a little review of the two products i used.

First off, Steel Edge.

Pumps- 8/10- Definitely some solid pumps while on this product, the best ive seen since i used animal pump a few months back.

Energy- 10/10 I had unbelievable energy while using this preworkout formula. Definitely the most potent energy formula i have ever tried.

Focus- 10/10- My focus was unwavering while on Steel Edge. Every set was followed by anticipation for the next set. I have never felt so focused on ripping my body to shreds and redefining my physique ;) This stuff really was a charm.

Taste- 8/10- Easy to get down. Its a taste you really come to love. Each sip of steel edge throughout my workout was a treat because it was so easy to drink. Citrusy, not too strong. SE does not dissapoint in this category.

Mixibility- 6/10- A little above average. No problem if you stir for about 30 seconds.

overall- 9.5/10!!

Intraxcell rating will be coming sooon!

Hi Jamier

i have tried the IntraXcell and have not found amazing results.
All that seems to happen is instead of getting that fatigue in the muscles they just outright fail.
Do you get this or do you get more reps out of it? i think i am getting more reps out of it as we up the weights and difficulty of routine, sadly because i get my PT to look after most of the routine i cannot see definite results as we constantly change the style and routine.

However i must admit i dont use it every time. One of those ones you need to do daily to get the results ( usually about 3-4 times a week i remember to take them)
