I really enjoy Oly lifting and support exercises like the overhead squat, but really lack the shoulder flexibility to do them with any type of effective weight. I had a rotator cuff/muscle imbalance problem for a while, and while my shoulder isn't frozen or anything the flexibility is lacking. I've been trying to gain my flexibility in order to put the bar further behind my like you're supposed to, but just can't make any progress. I'm certainly not looking to risk the health of my shoulder again for something that isn't my main priority, but would still like to mess around with the Oly lifts now and then. Any tips for improving this problem?

Do shoulder dislocates with a rod or towel. As a warmup your can do behind the neck presses with a narrow grip.

You can also work on snatch grip pressing behind the neck, although it takes a while to develop any real strength at this movement.
Also work on stretching all of the muscles of the torso, not just the shoulders. Flexibility in the pecs and back should not be overlooked.
To slowly build technique and possibly help with flexibility, you could work on the Cuban press/muscle snatch.
