how many coats does it usually take for the straky look to go away?

you do know that what you see when you put it on is just a dye, most of that washes off in the shower and you are left with a natural tan underneath. it shouldn't be streaky at all after you shower if applied properly. i use 3 coats, but i'm a fair skinned redhead.
