I am looking for some advice, My anterior deltoid is growing...and growing..lol

The problem is that my anterior deltoid is really overshadowing the rest of my shoulder as well as its doing too much in other exercises, It ends up getting fatigued even in exercises when it is just the secondary muscle worked,

I was thinking maybe limiting exercises like Military Press, DB press etc..
Perhaps I will incorporate more exercises for rear delts

Any suggestions?
pre-exhaust the target muscle and round it off with compounds. That should allow you to feel the target group and try and contract those muscles rather than the front delts.

Overview:


I have been having quite a bit oe personal issues coming up as of late and ever since I was in my teens I have used the GYM do take my mind off things.
I did that again today!

After my first set of squats my mind was all weights nothing else, sometimes it would start to wander but I would stop it and concentrate. I fully believe in the MIND Muscle connection. Im not lifting weights Im working my muscles!


IXC Update-
I am noticing some of the benefits from IXC, in my Anaerobic Muscular Endurance and it has helped to Delay Muscular Fatigue. I find my workouts can get done faster and in most cases Im using higher weight!

Steel Edge-
I used my last sample today and good thing! Squats and Deads can really kick the fuzz out of people but I was able to continue on! I highly reccomend this supplement to others.

I have found little to no side effects at all with either IXC or SE. Just some tingle like feeling from the IXC, which can be almost eliminated by having with food or dosing it 2 caps 3 times a day.
I dose it 3 caps 2 times a day Pre-WO and Post WO.

Well I know my
1 rep max for bench is 305
1 rep max Deads is 355
but I never maxed out squats today I did 225x10 and on BB.com it figures that to be 300lbs

So my big 3 is that is accurate is up to

960lbs!!!

What does everyone think about the way bb.com estimates your 1 rep max on squats, I know the other 2 are accurate because I did those 1 rep max but Im not sure about the squats.

I think I could do a little more... Opinions?

1000lbs is my short term goal 1200lbs is my long term goal and LIFE LONG GOAL GFH!!

lol.. I find heavy reps on deads really takes a lot out of me.
So by doing squats then deads then 2LLP, then trisetting standing calve raises,leg ext and leg curls plus 1 legged seated calf raises it can cause a little fatiuge..

In hell they probably have to SS Deads with Squats!!! :eek:

As for iForce Im not sure anymore, I talked to the owner one day and he said he would call me back to talk more, so he called back but I wasn't home so I have been going through VT to get a hold of him(the owner) but he has not called back so if it shows up yes if not no. I dont really understand why he hasnt called back maybe he is really busy..but I almost dont care anymore. I will not put my life on hold for a few supps. I am willing to do it and log it no problem at all. I guess we will see../

We are similar on the deadlift, but you are well above me for the squat. Interesting.

Another good workout, I did not get any PR's but I did get a few records for the amount of reps I could do with a certain weight.

All my SE is gone :(

But I do still have around 2 weeks worth of IXC, I believe that it has kicked in for early for me. I have given it the best case scenario to work, my training, supplements and nutrition have been going quite well, so I am happy to say that even though I still have some IXC to go BA will be used a lot more in my supplements routine.

I never noticed that you do flutter kicks for your abs! I loved doing them once in a great while. My body adapts to them quickly so I do them like once or twice a month but they kill!!

I was introduced to Flutter Kicks in the military, we usually have to do 100 on a four count..so it like 1,2,31 1,2,32
So its like every 4 count equals 1 so when I did 80 its really 320.. I like them because they begin to hurt but I can push through!

IXL really does take at least 5-10 minutes off a workout once it "kicks in." I remember when I first started on it, I did my Bicep/Tricep/Calf workout in 25 minutes and didnt even realize it. I looked up at the clock and was like, "What the heck?!?" I went over everything I did in the gym and I had done all of my usual exercises, it just took 10 minutes less! lol :D

I think I have been doing mine a little too close like 6-8 inches, I read somewhere it should be more like 10-12 I think if I widen it to 12 inches I will be able to push more weight for sure

Its completly true. In actuality, I am just as careful, and possibly more careful diet wise when I am bulking because it is so easy to go overboard and start putting on way too much fat.

Im not sure but I think since I will be widening my grip on CGBP that my numbers will go up!! I dont think it will be drastic but it will be a few inches wider and therefor be closer to My BP width which in turn will bring my numbers up, but if I find that my chest starts taking over then I will minimize my grip width once again.

Even 2 workouts ago I think my grip spacing was about 3-4 inchs tops they were very close I found that it put a lot of pressure on my wrists.

Thank you, It can be somewhat difficult to eat clean onviously everyone is dealing with that, cut or bulk, but my biggest problem is my best friends non E-life..are not very active and usually a meals like donairs, fries, pizza, KFC etc are everyday meals for them. So I end up trying to fill myself up at home before going out to see them or to hang out.
Sometimes it works better than others, its just funny because they have "cheat meals" for pretty much every meal...Im not jealous trust me they enjoy the cheat meals but complain about how they look or some wonder why some people their age look better..

That is the plan, Im trying to get there as healthy as possible too, It costs a lot if food though... Luckily I love rice, potatoes, eggs, steak, lean beef and chicken..lol

Im going to try it out see if I like being that heavy, I wanna make sure that it doesnt cause any health problems but I think it will be alright, If I can find a pic of when I graduated HS in 99 I will post it, I was 155lbs roughly..lol but man did I ever have some popin' Abs!!

Well pretty much all of the tingling has gone away. I have 6 days more of IXC and I have been enjoying the benefits so far, especially the increase in endurance, and the boost of energy I have been noticing.
I believe that BA will be a part of my diet for a long time.


On a training note....

Some of you may notice that my lifts are not extremely high or anything. I have decided to take this week to concentrate on my form I will use a weight that I can get at least 3 sets of 8 reps not counting warmups. I am doing this do ensure I am using proper form and not developing any sub-consious sheating methods. I am will still be using a chalenging weight, Im not taking it easy by any means I am just ensuring form and ROM.

Absolutely, Im still pushing hard but not trying to reach too many new PR's,
Ex. 235x8 on Flat Bench its no record but it is still heavy and taxing but I can controll it comfortably for 8 reps

Well, I have achieved a higher strength level a lot stronger over the past 2 months but also a nice amount over the past 3-4 weeks.

The past 3 weeks I have been on a Strength cycle, pushing myself to improve my numbers and lift higher weights including a week where I was only doing 3 rep sets,

Now for this week I plan on doing 3 sets of 8 reps at the highest weight that I can complete the 8 reps and full ROM, Imusing it to ensure proper form and to send the message to my brain that this is how these lifts are done no cheating!
I will contine this for the rest of the week and then next week I will be doing 6 rep sets but higher weight but no 1 rep max's, just heavy weight under proper form and ROM,

I believe taking even just 1 week every now and then will help to improve my mind muscle connection and prevent some injuries in the future.

Not really cause I am in the same boat as you. I think my body needs a break from supps. However, I am really hoping that Napalm stuff works cause I've always wanted to try a topical spot reducer. I have problem areas obviously :o

I didn't mean all supps of course. I love my Xtend (not Extend ;) ) too much. I still have a bottle of Dialene 4 sitting around. There's just so much to choose from I have no idea.

I just read about Core ABC in another thread today, Des had recommended it to someone. I am really curious to see how it is compared to Xtend.

My workouts have been great Sapper, thanks for asking. The Green Mag is really making a difference. The other day I went to do some lat pull downs and the weight flew up like nothing. I had to check and make sure the pin was in the right place! lol You are almost done, how are you feeling? And TGIF! :D

If you are ever considering a new Pre-WO supp, I reccomend Steel Edge by AEN it really gets me focused and help with endurance.

Plus you could give good ol' IXC a shot if you like BA or want to try BA..

Again no tingling, I had awesome endurance.. I felt like I could have done another workout. Even at the very end of my workout I used little to no rest time. Strength was good through out.


On a training note....

I am continuing my modified workout, the heaviest weight I can use for 3 sets of 8 reps. It has been working well and my workouts are still very intense.

Well Fridays workout was awesome. It was around 8pm so the gym was basically empty.

Sapper Raises are standing Lat raise and front raise, you do both of them once and that counts as one rep. So a 8 rep set will include 16 reps if you were to count them seperately.

As well my last 3 exercises were all done with no breaks, so I basically did all 9 reps of the three exercises inorder, exercise 1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3. Great Pumps after that one.

I also threw in some chin-ups and some dips. I had a awesome workout :D

I am sure most of you have heard some tunes from Hatebreed, but if you have not DL some of their stuff. It is awesome motivation get you pumped music!

Nice workout man. I do something somewhat similar to your Sapper Raises, but with a little twist. I sort of combine a lat and front raise into one motion. I do a lat raise first, and then once my arms are fully raised, I slowly bring the weights in front of me until they are in the front raise position. Then I lower them. For the next rep, I start by performing a front raise. Once my arms are extended, I slowly move the weights out to the top of a lat raise, then I lower them. I like to end my shoulder workouts with these every once in awhile.

Ingredients
Check them out at the supplement facts link. It has BA which was the main reason for me wanting to use it.

Pumps
I did not really notice too much for increased pump.

Endurance/Focus
My focus and endurance were dramatically increased. I was able to at times knock off 20 minutes from previous workouts. At times my rests between exercises were only 45 seconds. if you are looking for a supplement to help with endurance IXC should be on your list.

Strength
This is something that IXC claims it says it will Boost Explosive Muscular Strength. Well I say you can look through my log. There were a lot of PR's set actually I think that there was a new PR for just about every exercise.

Cost
On this site it is $30 for a 30 day supply or you can purchase 90 days worth for $81. I enjoy products that will give at least one months worth in a bottle. This is what IXC does and it is very affordable.

Overall
I highly reccomend this supplement. Below is what the bottle of IXC says it can do. I would also like to mention that Recent research is now showing carnosine levels continue to increase up to at least 12 weeks, which is why they recommend to continuously stay on IntraXCell for at least 3 months to optimize your carnosine levels. During my use of IXC I experienced no bloating.
I would say that the best result from me using IXC was they increase in endurance. It was dramatic, I was able to get longer workouts done in a shorter time. As well I found that there were times when I was finished working out and still had some energy so I would end up throwing in another set or two.
