In addition it showed that nearly twice as many women as men said they perpetrated domestic violence in the past year, including kicking, biting or punching a partner, threatening to hit or throw something at a partner, and pushing, grabbing or shoving a partner, said Herrenkohl.

For this reason, I'm not sure that men would be responding accurately and honestly when surveyed about DV, no matter how much you assured them that it was an anonymous survey. They get the same for the EXACT same job. On average women are paid less but it is because there are less female doctors, less female lawyers, less female firefighters, less female etc. More female housewives. All of the above are high paying jobs. Then there are the super-rich people like Bill Gates. So no if you take all women and all men, men will earn more.

If you were to take one female salesperson and one male salesperson, both the same age with the same experience, with the same job flexibility and working as many hours, they will be paid the exact same. Assuming that the woman does not take extra benefits such as maternity leave. So yes, women and men are paid as just as much assuming both have the same capabilities, etc. A lot of factors need to be taken into account. Besides, if a women were really paid less, why would someone hire a man? Imagine how much money you'd save with an all female staff!

But the reason its not is because in a "whole" men can do more damage. And yes, there are women out there that can do more damage than a man, but not as many as men.

I have often wondered whether some women slap or hit their partners because they want attention or in many cases sex.

I think these women like to argue and if her partner doesn't shout back at her she gets frustrated and lashes out. I think some women want a row and if her partner acts like he isn't bothered she hurts him in other ways.

I had an exgirlfriend who did this ..... it was a very vocal relationship and she would slap me over silly things like forgetting the milk every now and again. I took it for a while but in the end got tired of it. One day I grabbed her by the wrists when she went to slap me for turning the heating off and pulled her close ... she then went to kiss me and we ended having sex on the carpet.And the relationship improved hugely after that.

I am not making light of women hitting men but if it had been ther other way round and I had 'slapped her' she most probably would have had her teeth knocked out . Men are on average much stronger than women and just as if a little kid were to hit me , I wouldn't ever raise my hand to a woman. If a woman was being very abusive I would just leave. I stayed with that girl because I enjoyed it! She was italian too and very emotional(no racist).

However a m8 of mine who goes to the gym is in a very different situation and comes in with large bruises every now and then. When I first noticed them I though he had been in a fight in a pub. I know now it's his wife doing it. And I witnessesed his wife punch him full in the face for in her view flirting.This was in public btw. In her case she should be treated just like the type of man who would do this to a woman.

Care to share with us your views on domestic violence that involve two men? Who should go to jail and who should stay home in your opinion?

Whoever the attacker was should go to jail of course, just like male/female or female/female.
