I was in belfast last year, actually i stayed with a family in Bangor, and i went looking for a gym, and the only one in town was closed the whole three weeks i was there. anyways yeah this was no help to you but just thought id say.

yeh i am from Bangor, Competitive powerlifter however bro, but at the miniute am bulking for the next year and taking up powerlifting with BBing training, though am moving back to Newcastle to get back to studying at uni (go back around september 1st 2002 time).

am currently training at a a gym called Joe Scott's just of Abby st near the train/bus station
my stats were 5months ago (b/c i havent been able to train b/c of back injury) :-

21yrs old 2months: 5ft 11"
Squat 302.5kg
Bench Press: 185kg
Deadlift: 285kg
@ 97.5kg

Chest: 47.1/2"
Bi's: 16.1/2"
Waist: 37" Oh dear.
Quads: 28.1/2"
Calfs: 17.1/2"

id just like to say, IRELAND ROCKS!!!!!!!!!! i went there last summer during a europe trip and i loved it, im originally decended from ireland, rumour has it my decendants got kicked out of the country for fighting lol but they also saved a crashed ship of seamen and in return got a city named after them :cool:

from the north also, in bfast studying at queens atm, there seems to be a major lack of interest in body building!!! doing my tits tbh, ive only been doin git for like a month, if it wasnt for this site i would be in the ****, wouldnt be body building at all.
Is there actually any bb clubs in the north? ive been searching google for bloody ages and aint seen any...would be great to go to a gym which aint full of ppl that are morbidly obese and looking at you like your a freak cuz u'r doing weighted pull ups. Is there a place like that? cuz if there aint im for putting it on my to do list when i finish uni, fed up of being ina gym where no1 understands what im into or cares tbh.

Just outside Belfast, Newtownabbey area. Train in fitness first on the Shore Road. £15 a month and the equipment is awesome, hammertech machines, tonnes of freeweights, everything you could ever need. Well recommended compared to a few other gyms in Northern Ireland. Its full of people who actually know what the **** they are doing. No posers either really.

im from belfast ,i train in centaur beside starbucks its not really a bodybuilding gym but every1 there is serious about their training. check out paul mcilroys 12 week physique and mention me if u do the programe :)
