Heehee, they held open auditions in Baltimore for step up 2. I was absolute crap but it was a ton of fun. The choreography wasn't my style at all. There were some hot guys there though:D YUMMY muscular dancers! I should have brought my camera:( My friend took some pics. Four of my friends (male) got call backs though so that was super stokey! If any of them make it in I'll tell you who to look out for.

I didn't really take it very seriously cause I'm casper white and the plot revolves around this underground dance battle in down town Baltimore, so I don't think I'm quite what they were looking for:D I'm a decent breakdancer though so I held my own! It seemed like they were more into the look of the dancer than anything else.

Just thought I'd share. I don't suppose anyone else went to any of the auditions did they?

The film is supposed to be released in '08. Filming begins this July in Baltimore.

Lol! Why yes, yes they are. It's is another incredibly beleivable plot line too!

"Patrick Collins is a student at Maryland School of the Arts. He hears about a legendary team dance battle called The Streets that only locals have access to and of course, Patrick is a local.
When Andie West, a B-girl who is a member of the best team for The Streets, starts to attend MSA, sparks fly between the two and Patrick is let into the underbelly of Baltimore's dance scene. Rather than a story of an outsider coming in, It's about an insider breaking out, taking dance out of the studio and back to the streets where it all began."

There's a whole new cast too. For those who have seen 'She's the Man' Channing Tatums rival, Robert Hoffman (Justin in the movie) will be playing the new lead. Jessica Ritchie will be playing the female lead. So this time they are both blondes it seems.

All the breakdancers were making fun of the plot though. 'The Streets' is such Hollywood spin. Don't know if everyone is aware but there is no Maryland School of the arts either.

On a side note 'Step Up' is one of my favorite movies:(....:D
