I have a question. In your huge bulking section, it says you eat at 2:30 am. Is that for recovery? do you sleep right after you eat. I doubt you sleep for only 4 hours, since you wake up at 6:30 am

I have a protein shake by my bed and drink it at night when I wake up to go to the bathroom. 2:30 is just a general time as I drink it whenever it is that I wake up to use the bathroom.

Because I workout at 6 AM, so I want something more quick absorbing.

Wouldn't it be more beneficial to take some skim milk at the 2:30am time mark, and then have a whey protein shake about 30 minutes before heading to the gym? As mentioned before, whey does get absorbed quickly (about 1 hour), and you don't head to the gym for another 3 hours after that. Skim milk alone would be a better solution, absorb more slowly, providing a more steady nutrient supply while you sleep. Whey would be perfect to take just before your workout, giving you the nutrients you need WHILE you are working out, keeping your growth environment stable.

I take EAA before/during my workout along with dextrose.
Amino acid levels peak at about the hour mark when you take whey and slowly declines over the next couple of hours. It is not like you take whey then it is gone in an hour. It is still being used. Skim milk is indeed another option of what one could use.

So would it be better to have half a protein shake 30 minutes before exercising and the other half afterwards? So that amino acid levels are at their highest at the moment you are finished? Or all before/ all after or does it not matter?

Taking protein before is better than after.
Taking protein before and after is even better.

If he eats and goes t sleep that is definately bad thing.... During sleep you regain energy by not doing anythin, if your forcing your digestive system to work loads (it'lll presumebly be also digesting what you had before bed, You may sleep for 8 hours, but it'll seem like 6

How do you regain energy from not doing anything? The first law of thermodynamics states energy is neither created or destroyed, but transformed from one form to another. Your body needs nutrients get get its energy. This means that if you don't eat your body will rely on its energy stores (fat from adipose tissue, amino acids from muscle, and glycogen from the liver) while you sleep.
When you sleep, sympathetic nervous system actions decrease. The sympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system mediates emergency functions (such as needed during exercise), mobilizes stored fuels (by epinephrine and norepinephrine), inhibits digestion and absorption of nutrients (decreases the vegetative state), and has an alerting function.
During rest, we don't need this. So instead the parasympathetic division of the autonomic nervous system is activated which decreases emergency functions, promotes energy storage and sleep, and increases vegetative functions (biosynthesis and repair).
Just because you are asleep your body is not shutdown, but rather is doing a lot (i.e. repair). Going 8+ hours without eating is not good for repair. Considering most of us here are bodybuilding, we need more nutrients to meet the demands of this repairing process.

Yea, my dad says that I shouldn't eat so much so I can give my stomach a break. AbFab has a point somewhat, as it takes ATP to breakdown sugar and stuff while you sleep. But then the net gain in ATP if you've got food in you is good, and you have an adequate supply of ATP to provide for repair and stuff.
Anyways, I got a question. I'm Muslim, and it's time for fasting. My question is, should I workout like right before it is time to break my fast? Or right after? Or how about in the morning around 4:30-5:00? I don't really get all that much sleep either, so I keep my workouts to around 20 minutes. Thanks.

I would workout after you've had a good meal. Can you give me the specific of when you do and don't fast? Is it from Sunrise to sunset?

Pretty much 30 minutes before sunrise till a few minutes after sunset. So for me, it is 5:50am-7:10 currently. It is 28 days. I was thinking have a protein shake when I open my fast, then workout, have another shake, and then after an hour or so eat a full meal. I'm just trying to maintain. Thanks again.
