Does anyone else love yoga? I do but my summer schedule stinks and I can't make either yoga class I normally take. It stinks! I really need to find a time to do some salutations and poses at home. I've got a great spot, out by my pool, if I can get everyone (kids, dh, and DOG) to leave me alone.

How do you guys think yoga fits in with lifting? Partly seems counteractive but I just think yoga's so good for you in general, and over the long term, and I love it!

I think you have to enjoy what you do (or you wont do it). My fitness revolves around lifting, step aerobics, and yoga. I'm missing the third part and I'm starting to feel it.

Hi, I do yoga too. I think it goes hand in hand. I need the stretching and flexability it offers. I like to do Namaste on Fittv and then do Gilad. I also have a boxed set of Rodney Yee, I really like his because it is a work out. Namaste is more of a relaxing warm up.

I do Power Yoga in the heat - 90mins classes 3-4 times a week. I usually do it in the afternoon on the days I lift. I don't think it's counteractive to lifting at all as it works the muscles on more of an endurance level. The flexibility I have gained also helps.

I love doing yoga. I've found that the flexibility aspect really helps, and I feel that the strength gained from holding poses complements my weight lifting. I've especially noticed a difference in my core.
