View Full Version : Do we really need this kind of thing in here? (serious)

Okay, so far, the men who have posted in the FM have posted things like:

"Do you think I'm hot?"
"Do you think this girl is hot?"
"Would you take a load to the face?"
"Don't wear too much makeup because guys don't like it!"
"Vote for me as the official FM homo!"
"I have girl problems."

Seriously, isn't there more than enough of that crap in the Misc? Why is it that all the posts by men are about, well, men? And man-oriented topics? I know the forum is new and that it's fairly low-traffic right now, and I enjoy the regular Misc AND joking around as much as anyone, but I'd really like to see less of this. I don't think we need TWO forums filled with bikini babes, 858576 questions about women's sexual preferences, how women can best appeal to men, and otherwise focusing on MEN. Why can't this forum be more focused on the WOMEN who post here? This is the Female Misc, after all.

I'm not saying get rid of the guys. I'm saying, guys, branch out to topics that don't center around the fulfillment of the penis.

Now I'm only one person, so obviously I could be totally in the minority here, hence the poll. But I'd hate to see this forum become as female-unfriendly as the regular Misc. because a bunch of guys can't interact with women unless they're objectifying them. But even the regular Misc. has some good, serious topics and I'd like to see more of that.

They'll probably settle down when the novelty wears off.

Besides there are more women in here to take the piss out of them.

And this is far more heavily moderated so they're unlikely to get away with the same ****...

I'll just see how it goes.....

I'd personally like to think that the FM will eliminate the "am I hot", "my girlfriend does this or that and I need advice" type of threads from the REST of the female bodybuilding section, since there is now a place for them.

Hopefully, the fact that this Misc is in the Female section will discourage a lot of the bullsh!t threads seen in the regular Misc. So far, the ones I've seen in here haven't annoyed me all that much.......plus, any thread can be hijacked. ;)

But those are just my own thoughts on the matter.

I voted that I personally don't care, it's the female misc section. So I will simply ignore the threads I'm not interested in. So personally, I say if you don't like it, don't read the thread or post in it.

Two, if we want more focus on US as women and not as objects, then IMO, WE should start topics that interest US, simple as that. So if one of us wants to start an interesting and/or intellectual topic, then do it, don't rely on the guys to do it.

I think if you want good, intellectual, serious type threads then you'd need to start a forum just for THAT. I just think misc is what it is, MISCELLANEOUS, whether it's guys or girls posting. Inevitably I just think that anytime you have a misc forum where both sexes are allowed, the topics are always gonna end up being geared in a certain direction, it's just human nature. Also if you notice, the average age of the posters here, so that's another factor that's inevitable, that you will have mainly the younger crowd posting in the misc sections. I just think any type of misc section will always end up that way. If you want a forum with just serious topics or even with mostly serious topics, (not centered around the penis), I just don't think that a misc is ever going to be that way, period. Just my humble 2 cents.

As a side note, I was actually expecting something like this to come up from somebody. This definitely doesn't surprise me as I've been observing the subjects of these topics.

Don't know if you were interested in a male's perspective on this subject or not, but nevertheless here is mine.

There was already a FM-type present in the Female BB section long before the addition of the 'Female Misc'. The General Chat area was, IMO, the exact same thing but was handled and taken more seriously and monitored much closer. I think the advent of this new section is going to attract subjects such as mentioned above on pure name alone...Female MISC. Never OVERestimate the maturity level of many on this board.

On a side note...I agree with Jamie. Hi-jack those muthas!

Oh hai Bonecrshr.....I think the main problem with the General Chat area, and some others in the female section, is that they just don't see a whole lot of traffic - waiting for a response can take forever.

Personally, I like having a place where I can be as immature as I wanna be and still get to hang with the girls. It kinda feels like to me, even if we have the guys here too, that the misc is the area where it's gonna be a given to see these things. And a big majority of the guys here are cool as hell...they aren't asses, they know they have boundaries, and for the most part, they respect that. I can be a grown up, mature, rational adult...sometimes I wanna talk about pee and poop!!

Misc is the catch all for the immature, offensive, pointless, and embarrassing.

The well-moderated non-offensive, politically correct conversations can occur in General Chat.

If you see a thread you don't like, you have 4 choices:
1- ignore it
2- get offended and preach at the poster
3- ridicule the poster
4- hijack the thread and talk about whatever you want

Yes, in fact, many homosexuals are hypermasculine and have higher than average levels of testosterone. Even the femmey guys, when it comes down to it, still have a masculine thought process. There is far more butch-butch gay porn than there is portraying men who are at all feminine.

The way I see it, if one man likes another man, one of them has femine brainwave patterns. Just like how a straight woman likes a man, a gay man with a femine thought process likes men. Thus the reason why a gay member wants to be an official in the FemaleMISC.

There can be alot of scientific studies done and experts saying this and that. But reality says that a woman who like another woman has a male thought process and a so on. The reason for homosexuality is to control the population (less hetero sex means less babies). So nature put femine thoughts into certain male babies, so that they would never have sex with actual females.

This is why gay men tend to have many female friends, because they think indentical to females and know exactly how to interact with them on a non-sexual level. I'm surprised that a female started this thread and has a problem with this -30

I think the poll says it all. I like Twilo, and obviously from the responses in that specific thread, I'm not the only one who appreciates his presence. Yes, we do work our ass off to look good. Yes, we are also individual people as well. BUT, you CANNOT look as good as you work to be without getting the attention of the men. I know that's not solely what this thread was made about, but this is the part that bugs me the most. IF YOU ARE GOING TO TAKE PICTURES OF YOURSELF IN LINGERIE, OR BE MOSTLY UNCLOTHED IN YOUR PICTURES, THEN DO NOT COMPLAIN WHEN THE SEX-DRIVEN MEN NOTICE IT! If you cannot handle the attention, then ultimately do not put yourself out there. That's like leaving the meat on the counter and then bitching cause the dog ate it! I'm getting sick of all these double standards, and ladies, we are not helping our situation!

And I thought a transsexual was someone who was one gender and was changed into another?

Your right, the OP just tried to use this as an excuse so as not to acknowledge Twilomike as a legitimate candidate for his cause in FemaleMISC. If we had nothin to complain about, then life wouldn't be intersting. It would be boring and dull. People are people and life is life. Enjoy it, live it, breathe it. No one has anything to complain about when they are dead.
