My wife is pregnant with our third child. This one due next month. She is having a problem with varicose veins this time, she never had them with the others. What are some cures for them? Do they just go away? Has anyone else had a problem with them? She says they are sore sometimes, why is this?

Have her prop her feet up alot, which, I know is hard to do with kids, Get compression stockings, they can be surgiacally altered, but, that is drastic.

Talk to the OBGYN when she goes for a check up.

Congrats on #3 :)

HEY EXNIHILLO!! Long time no chat bud :)
I don't know that she is even able to do this as far along as she is, but make sure she's not trying to sit on her legs..like, curl them under her, or cross them, that'll contribute to the varicose veins as well.

Do the women in her family suffer from these also? I think some of it may have to do with genetics, the women in my family have a horrible time with them, and I've already got them too. But then again I am on my feet for ten hours.

I think I saw someone on here talking about horse chestnut, that they take that for varicose veins, but I don't know how that would affect the baby...might be something to ask the doc next time tho.

I hope she gets some relief soon, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! :D

varicose veins are same as a spider veins. when spider veins come a wild range of a body then it known as varicose veins. Varicose veins mostly found on face and leg skin. It can be a blue ,purple, green or red colour. If the possible we need to remove as early.
