i have used dandelion root for a previous show and found very little results from it (i did the water depletion with it). my last show i used "shredded" from GNC, max dosage with water depletion and again did not notice the "shrink wrap" effect that i am looking for. anyone have any suggestions for a strong duiretic that will help bring out my lines and deplete that lst bit of water that i seem to hol onto???

that depends on what ur willing to use. if u want real effects than you can try lasix, but your gonna need a source and i wouldnt advise it without proper knowlege.

i have considered it but wasn't sure how effective it would be and the proper dosage?? have you used this before and did u find more effective than what duiretics are available through nutritional stores?

wow, don't even consider lasix bro, it is the most dangerous one out there. I personally watched one of my competitors drop to his knees and pass out cold on stage. He had to be carried off stage then he went into a seizure and started vomitting. He was close to the very real possibility of having a heart attack.
There are much safer prescription diuretics out there but i won't even advise on them becuase i don't think they are necessary or should be used at all.
Herbals are good enough and work, IF YOU ARE LEAN ENOUGH! All the water depletion in the world will not bring out the lines unless you are VERY VERY LEAN. It shounds like you have a leaness problem rather than a water problem.
Do not i repeat DO NOT use lasix.

Ok basically since this is right up my alley since I run 2 Supplement stores, here you go...
to get DRY you have to use a BUTTLOAD of natural stuff they don't work like the Pharm. big brothers....
Dandelion 1000 mg 4 times a day this comes to usually 8 capsules per day
Uva Ursi 1000 mg 4 times a day same as above 8 per day
B-6 100 mg 4 times a day along with these compounds above
Potasium is not needed, since these are pot. sparing however I would take some anyways, just to be safe.
You can see you will swallowing 20 capsules a DAY, this can be very hard to do. The "water" pills DO NOT have enough dandelion or uva ursi to do anything, you HAVE to buy the stuff seperate.

My trainer advised using a diuretic but I drew the line at that one. I don't think it is safe or necessary-- just my personal opinion.

thanks for the tips...i am competing in a fairly significant figure show in about 4 weeks and want to come in more cut than my last show. i find i have one of those bodies that really fights to hold onto to that last bit of water, especially around my hips/thighs (go figure!!) i have tried dandelion root, sauna treatments and then this past show tried shredded with very little difference. i know a lot of my other competitors have used products like watertight and had a great "shrink wrap effect" so i am looking for something that i can get similar results from.

AGREE WITH VENOM 100%. dandelion/shrink wrap/expel.... none of em work enough to be able to notice. GET LEANER. drop water the correct way. no issues.

would you suggest this same dosage to a woman who is 5"1 and about 105 lbs at competition? i get down to about 9% bf for competing but again still have a bit of h2o to shed...

THis seems 10X cheaper then doubling up on teraxatone to get similar effects..
what supplement store branch do you work at? where can I get uva ursi?

Lasix is safe if you understand the chemistry behind it. However 99% of people who take it do not.

One thing most everybody doesnt concern themselves with except those with the education to do so is the potassium to sodium balance. Put simply the internal fluid concentrations of a muscle are made up of 10 parts potassium and 1 part sodium. The external fluid concentrations are made up of 1 part potassium and 28 parts sodium. Understanding this if you dropped sodium to 500 mgs and took in 5000 mgs potassium(FROM EITHER FOOD OR LIQUID SOURCE SINCE POTASSIUM IS NOT ABSORBABLE IN PILL FORM)besides pills are 99 mgs,you would duplicate internal potassium to sodium concentrations and virtually all fluid would be retained in the muscle. Using the same 500 mgs sodium with jus 1000 mgs of potassium would cause a whole other situation and would increase sub q water. Sodium does not cause you to retain fluid but it redirects the fluid sub q
