Hi, I'm looking to get a sweet 16 birthday present for my cousin (no To Catch A Predator). Which do you think would be better?

(A) a small black Coach purse
http://www.coach.com/content/product.aspx?product_no=9085&category_id=502

(B) a Tiffany & Co. bracelet
http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/item.aspx?sku=GRP01430&search_params=t+-s+0-p+1-l+-h+-c+-r+157+111-x

Both are the same price (~ $200)

All opinions are greatly appreciated. Any other suggestions are also welcome. If you choose (A) or (B), please state why.

Reps rewarded.

I would hate spending money on either one because I hate that materialistic stuff, haha. Anyways if I had to choose between both I would have to say the purse. Its way more practical and would be much more useful then a bracelet...

Thanks Bttrhnb4... I appreciate your quick opinion. Just wondering... why do you say bracelet over purse?

I agree... but do you have any other suggestions? I just thought that's what most 16 year olds would want at that age.

A bracelet can be worn with anything, given that it's a neutral color, and I think it would last longer than a purse.

bracelet ftw!

I agree with the bracelet..

I actually got a small black coach purse for my birthday and didnt like it cause it was too small and kinda embarassing lol...plus i like jewelry because it's more meaningful.

Meh, I say get her some Juicy, but that's just my opinion.

If you're picking out of those two, go with Tiffs.

My reasoning: Coach bags are ugly.

What's your budget and does he have any hobbies? (I.e. Golf, watching baseball, camping, etc)

Heartbraykkid, it would be a lot easier to decide if you posted pictures of what you're considering.

We may even present you with better options.

Leather insides? Get him some nice leather cleaner...the car wash idea was good too! Or maybe just a gift certificate to an auto shop he really likes! (O'Reilly's, Autozone, etc)

Good point!

Option (A) http://www.coach.com/content/product.aspx?product_no=9085&category_id=502

Option (B) http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/item.aspx?sku=GRP01430&search_params=t+-s+0-p+1-l+-h+-c+-r+157+111-x

^ Option B is about $30 cheaper, but if I get the bracelet I'd get her name engraved which is about an additional $30 so they equal out to be the same.

Discuss.

I don't mean to be a twit, but that bracelet is so 5 years ago.

Mind if I find a piece of jewelry for 200 dollars or less as a suggestion?

See, I'd prefer something like this

But, you have to realize, I'm not your cousin and I don't know what she likes. Unfortunately, girls don't have some universal preference over gifts.

That is very nice. You might also look at what Things Remembered might have, they've got several lovely items to choose from. Also along the same lines of what Aro posted.

That is nice but it's a necklace... I was looking for something more along the lines of a bracelet. Also, brrthnb4, I plan on getting the bracelet engraved at Things Remembered :o) if I were to get a Tiffany's bracelet.

I'm sorry, I can't let you get the bracelet! They were so popular when I was in 8th grade and nobody has worn them since.

I'll find a bracelet, gimme a sec!

most of the bracelets in the bottom two rows are cute! But, only a couple fit the price range.

Oh wow! There were several there for less than 200! I'd love any of them, but, like Aro said, I'm not your cousin...I've got simple taste too.
