View Full Version : Muscle Memory even if you Burned it away?

Hello,

I've lost allot of weight over the past year and half down from 295lb to 270lbs last summer and currently at 219lbs. Surprisingly not much loose skin, I look pretty decent but have definitely lost muscle mass. I'm getting closer and closer to the Brad Pitt fight club look. My bench has suffered and all of my major lifts reps have gone down. My questions are about muscle memory.

Since my body has eaten away allot of fat and a good amount of muscle does this still mean that my body has muscle memory to recover when I bulk?

Or since it catabolized it's gone forever and I have to start from scratch.

Coles notes:

-Lost lots of weight fat/muscle
-Can I get my muscle back quickly with muscle memory?
-Or is the muscle burned away permanently and I will have to start from scratch.

Thanks everyone, if it wasn't for these forums I'd still be a fat ass or working out the wrong way.

Reps for any responses!!!

With proper nutrition and training you can get it back fairly quick relatively speaking.

At one point i lost a lot of size due to malnutrtion illness and stress. I was able to regain the 35 lost lbs naturally in 4 months. However i've always responded well to training and nutrition.
