im dying to do dips in my home gym but my ceiling in the basement where the equipment is is way to low for a pullup/dip station (ceiling is 6'0) im 5'9 . putting dip handles on the wall is a no go because my walls arent that strong and id hit my head on the ceiling what can i do ?

get dip bars and put them lower so ur head just doesnt hit.

and u gotta mount it to studs in the walls i would assume. not just the drywall

This may be really off the wall but . . .

I walked passed one of those "used everything" stores over the weekend and saw a walker through the window. Looked to me as if one of these could be used for dips. I didn't go in, but I bet it wouldn't cost more than $10 at this place. I thought I'd wait until I tried to figure out why one of these could "not" be used for dipping with legs held up and crossed at ankles. I just didn't want to buy it then find out I have to get rid of it because something about it made dips impossible to do on it.

But, from what I could see, looks like one could do dips all day on it. Large rubber feet & body weight should hold it in place . . . tipping one way or the other is the only possible drawback I could think of.
