Hi I have been thinking I am only going to be a freshman and I am only 5'7 115 lbs. I mean common what can I do for my team. I mean I am not a bad football player or anything ( i set a record on tds) But the coach will see that as weakness and probably wont let me play. So what do you guys think I should do. Should I tough it out and play football this season. Or should I wait for my sophmore year and spend the year putting on size. I dont know what I should do. I mean there are going to be guys twice my size strenghth and speed. But I need your opinions.

dude, u gotta play even if you are small if you have the determination and a positive additude you will do good. If you love football half as much as i do you would regret sitting this season out, even if u did put on more size you would still be missing out on experiance. if you go in there will a kick ass mindset you will impress your coaches and come sophmore year when u add on some more size you could possibly start varsity. so go in there and kick some ass and impress the hell outta your coaches do the best you can, determination beats size, you ever see the movie Rudy....

Yup size doesnt mean everything, especially at your level...just go out and be a friggin mad man.....hit everything that moves, sell out on every play...a good coach will see that and youll play....

size matters to an important extent, but its mostly natural talent at our age man. take it up!
