I have to admit I am pretty excited about this and really hope that both Thryotabs and myself live up to my expectations. Now on with the show! :D

Body Heat
Appetite Suppression
Decrease of Body Fat
Disposition of Mood
Training and Exercise


What am I all about?

I'm not going to bore you will my life story. You can learn more about me Here (http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/Ariestbf/) What I will tell you are my goals for this log. I will be aiming to lose 10 lbs in the next 6 weeks. I think that is a realistic goal and something I can achieve as long as I put in the work. If, however, I go over that goal then all the better. I just don't want to set myself up for failure or disappointment by choosing a loftier goal. Besides that I am hoping to lose a lot of body fat. Summer is knocking at my door and the last thing I want to do is look like a beached whale :eek: so I will be working my butt off to say the least.

Dosing and supplements?

As per Des, I will be starting off at half the dose of regular users and upping it according to the directions. I am planning on running Thyrotabs alone until I gauge how and if my appetite increases to where either I feel like I am starving or cannot control it. If that happens I will be incorporating another supplement into my arsenol to help with appetite suppression. Until then it's just the Tabs. Along with that will be the following:


Scivation Xtend in Watermelon-a must have when cutting and for cardio endurance
Dymatize Elite Protein in Berry Blast- PWO shakes
Fish Oil-got to have those healthy fats
NOW 5-HTP-taken at bedtime to help overcome stimulants


Diet?

Through the years I have learned that me and diets just don't mix. I need variety in my life and by restricting myself to one kind of diet sets me up for failure and then self-loathing. Some may find that weak. All I know is I have to do what works for me and for the duration of this log my plan is to carb cycle and take in around 1400-1500 calories with one cheat meal, not day, per week. If weight loss is minimal or tapers off I will adjust accordingly. I feel that by not limiting myself to only certain foods everyday I will be able to stick with it. I will be taking in the majority of my carbs in the earlier part of the day and tapering off in the latter part. Also, I will be eating lots and lots of green salads. I will be more specific once I start logging.

Exercise?

My routine will vary throughout the log as sometimes my time is short cause of work and kids. My plan is to switch upper and lower on alternating days with two days off. Right now my lifting is limited to a home gym (like a bowflex) that uses resistance bands, but I will be getting a hundred lb free weight set to incorportate into my routine. I will be more specific once updating my log.

Cardio?

I will be rotating my cardio in order to not get bored. I detest cardio more than anything and it's very hard for me sometimes to get through a whole session without quitting. I know that cardio will be a very important role in losing weight and that I need to stay consistant with it. So, I will be varying it up between my elliptical, my kickboxing bootcamp DVD, walking my daughter in her stroller around town, and possibly bike riding on the weekends with my boys. Add in some B-ball with the hubby and I think I'll be good to go.

Stats?

This is the most unpleasant part but neccesary of course. I have been slacking majorly for the past couple weeks. School became my main priority outside of my family and I found little time to really workout. So, I've gained back a few lbs, but I do believe some of it is water weight.


Height: 5 ft 3 in
Weight: 148.8 a few minutes ago
Measurements: will have to wait as I can't find my tape measure

As before everything I write will be to the best of my ability and with complete honesty. I have nothing to lose or gain by being dishonest, besides weight....lol. Props must be given to Mr. Des for my rather sexy banner. I appreciate it Big Guy ;)

Borrow away, but you might want to choose a different banner ;) Even though I don't really like red I think it's the most suitable color to use mainly, but you can be sure I will be using purple, my fave color, when possible. With the way I like to change things it's bound to change many times in the next weeks. LOL...it took forever.

Body Heat-nothing noticable yet, although yesterday I was feeling warm all day, but I think that had more to do with the fact that the temp shot right up into the 80's after being in the 50's & 60's.
Appetite Suppression-I haven't been really hungry the last couple days, but I've also been really busy with things, so I don't have a lot of time to sit around and think about eating. Yesterday I worked and only had an english muffin in 7 hours.
Decrease of Body Fat-Uh, yeah....nothing yet of course
Disposition of Mood-Weird, but the last two days I have been very grumpy and just a mean rip. I think it's cause of having a headache everyday cause of my allergies and I get easily irritated at my job cause people irritate me there. Also, things around the house (we're fixing it up) are going wrong and it's a PITA.
Training and Exercise-I'm going to be getting into my routine starting Monday. Just didn't make sense to me to start on a Friday. However, I did clean the yard, the house, and do some painting yesterday. Plus, they worked me like a slave at work and I was going a mile a minute so it wasn't like I did nothing.



Random Thoughts and/or Rants

Ok, so I know everything has it's place in the world, but can someone please tell me WTH we need bats for. I'll freely admit that I have a bat phobia. I am terrified of them and with literally run and cry like a big baby. So, last night I decided to stay up and wait for my husband to get home since I didn't have to get up early in the morning. *skip forward and hour or so* We went out to have a smoke and when we came back in of course there is a FREAKIN bat flying around our living room. I immediately shreak like a siren, hit the floor, and grab a curtain and put it on top of my head. My body immediately starts to shut down and my hubby is trying to calm me and get it at the same time. He gets his carhart coat and puts it over my head while I am in the fetal position bawling like a newborn baby. He then sets off to go get it while I am frozen in fear like a coward. I am concerned for my boys as their bedroom door was open so I have him make sure the evil flying rat doesn't get them. I hear a lot of cursing and banging and he manages to trap it in our upstairs bathroom. Of course after that I manage to stop hyperventillating and muster enough backbone to stand and ask him if he needs help. He went in there this morning to kill it, but couldn't find it so he opened the window and closed the door. So for now my bathroom is out of commission. I did warn my boys, being that boys are always so curious, that if they opened the door I would string them up by their toes so hopefully they listen. Anyway, some might find the mental picture of a grown woman lying on the floor shaking and blubbering incoherantly comical, but I assure you it is not. I freakin HATE those things!

Believe it or not, when we had a bat get in the house a few years ago, I trapped it in the four-seasons room and caught it with my daughter's pink butterfly net.

Once I caught him (her?) he was so cute. But before that, he was just a menace... lol...

And I think we need them to eat the bugs or something. I'm not eating them...!
Or for special effects on Halloween. Or so husbands can be heros occasionally... :D

Yeah, I know they're here to eat bugs, but damn I hate them. I'm not scared of many things, but those things turn me into a catatonic baby. It doesn't help that one time I had one crawl up onto my bed right infront of my face. Oh, and there is nothing cute about those things. They're like rat with wings. *shivers now*. Diet?

Well, I have to say I didn't eat as planned today. I don't know if it's the heat or the Tabs or both, but I just wasn't hungry today. I had a bowl of Raisin Bran for breakfast. For lunch I nibbled on some chicken and dinner I had a 2 cup salad of lettuce and cucumbers and a couple bites of baked chicken. I've been really thirsty so water intake is a lot better than before. Maybe got in a half gallon which is good for me.

Exercise?

I stated earlier that I wasn't really going to do much until Monday, but I decided to take a walk with the kids and had a nice 1 hour walk pushing a stoller. I felt sweaty and like body heat was higher, but the humidity is at 54% and temp is still 78 degrees so I think that is more of a factor than the Tabs this early in the log.


Supplements?

I will be adding Scivation's Dialene-4 to my arsenol to combat increased appetite. This part is unsponsored, so don't think I only log sponsored logs. I do buy my own supps people :D

Diet?

I've been good when it comes to eating, but haven't really been following carb cycling yet. I've just been too busy to set it all up. We are redoing our house and for the past two days I've been repainting walls. I have stayed well under maintanence though.


Exercise?

The only exercise I've done this weekend was the 1 hour walk with the kiddos and redoing the house. If anyone's ever painted then you know it isn't the easiet job, although I wouldn't call it cardio.


Body Heat?

I have noticed more sweating the last couple days. Just painting was making me sweat, so maybe that aspect is kicking in. Otherwise I will blame the warmer and more humid weather.

Appetite Suppression?

My appetite has been way down lately, which is good. Usually I am a lot more hungry. Because of this I have yet to start the Dialene. I will only start that if my appetite begins to increase.

Mood?


I've actually been a little moody lately. More exact is I just don't have any patience and get annoyed easily. Could be the diet part or the situations I'm in sometimes. Not feeling mellow though.

Diet?

Diet was good today, although maybe a little bit higher carb wise than I would have preferred. Being as it's Memorial Day we had a cook out after I got off work. Buns are bad ;) Pickles are goooood :D

Exercise?

Well, can't say that I was back in action today. I did do 30 min of cardio on my elliptical, but no lifting. I did go and get my 100 lb weight set, so I am looking forward to using it tomorrow. Did I mention that I really hate cardio?


Body Heat?

Something weird was going on today. Even though it was a beautiful day, albeit a little too windy I was freezing. I had to go and put a jacket on. So, what I am wondering is if the Tabs are indeed raising my body temp up which is making me more sensitive to outside temps. Does it work that way even? I was sweating a lot at work even though the air conditioner was on. I think the thermo effects have indeed kicked in. Yeah!

Appetite Suppression?

I did feel a little more hungry today, but didn't eat a whole lot. I was starving near dinner time, but didn't even finish my plate so appetite is still controllable.

Mood?

Feeling more mellow today. Nice cause I was really tired from not getting a lot of sleep last night.

Random Thoughts

I dont' know what I hate worse. When people tell me I look good for having three kids or seeing women that have had a kid and are freakin borderline anorexic. I hate seeing those skinny biotches just cause I want to be one :rolleyes:

Well, I should clarify that our air conditioning system is weird where it kind of does a cycle and only hits part of the room. Plus, I am constantly moving at work. Geez, you make me sound like a sweat hog ;) Also, I am not a big sweater, so if I get a little glistening going on I consider that sweating.

My sweating has gone down a lot since I have lost weight but I am still a pretty big sweater...hoping that I am not going to be dripping with sweat at work. Because that is oh so attractive! lol

I've never been one to sweat too much even when it's really hot. I usually only sweat between the boobs and on my back. I played volleyball and basketball in high school and during drills my face would be beet red cause I didn't sweat a lot. At least someone finds my stuff funny ;)

I should mention that I am going to do my best to workout today. It's just hard when I am trying to remodel almost the whole inside of my house. It's a wreck and it's driving me nuts. I hate unfinished things and all I want to do is get all the painting done so I can relax. Now I have to paint the whole kitchen cause we put down new flooring and all the trim in the living room. Oh and I have to repaint the stairs. Ugh, it's really a lot for one person. I think what I might do is just lift and forget cardio today since I am going to be painting for the majority of it anyway. No tears here cause I hate cardio ;) I will update later after seeing how the rest of my day goes.

Diet?

Diet was okay for the most part. Pretty protein filled with tuna and chicken and plenty of veggies. Waffles for breakfast might have been a no-no, but they were yummy and I haven't had them forever. I usually skip breakfast which I guess is a worse no-no. As you can probably tell I hate putting down every single thing I eat. Who really gives a crap? So, I'll just state whether diet was good or was bad.

Exercise?

Ok, so earlier I stated I was going to try and lift. Well, that didn't happen. Between painting and kids it just wasn't in the cards for me. I know, I suck. I will say that my arms are getting a workout from all the painting though. I guess this week is just the wrong time to start working out again. I do promise to get back to it and hit it hard once all my painting is done, which is hopefully in the next couple days. It would go faster if I wasn't the only one actually doing all the painting.


Body Heat?

Nothing noticable today except for being cold when it wasn't even cold out today. I'm cold right now actually and it's fine in the house. I can only think that my body temp has actually increased causing me to get cold easier. Feel free to tell me if that is not correct or whatever.

Appetite Suppression?

Ok, I definitely felt increased appetite today, but managed to keep myself in check. It was a lot harder though than yesterday, so I think starting tomorrow I will be starting the Dialene before things get too carried away.

Mood?

Everything A-ok today. Just really tired.

Not feeling the increased appetite today yet, but the day isn't over right.

Exercise?

Surprise!!! I worked out today. It was a short one though. Here ya go.

bench: bar + 50-15,15,12
bicep curls: bar + 20-15,12,10
seated cable rows: weight?-15,12,10
decline lat cable pull: weight?-15,12,10
triceps:weight?-10,2-arms started feeling fatigue here.
different crunches-200

The reason I have weight? is cause I don't know how to figure out the weight on my home gym, so if anyone wants to help me out feel free. Being as I haven't worked out in awhile I am definitely feeling it. Hopefully the Xtend helps minimize DOMs tomorrow. If not it's lower body anyway.

Also, feel free to give me advice on exercises I need to try to do. I was a former gym bunny and just did all the different machines. I can't do that with what I have at home. Recap: I have a 100 lb free weight set and home gym that's a cheaper version of the Bowflex.

I actually forgot to take my Tabs this morning cause I was running late for work, so I just took the dose when I got home. I'm also starting the Dialene today.


What To Think?

Ok, so this is going to sound pretty weird. My Hubby has a friend and he recently got out of jail. Not going into that part. Well, he likes to hang out with us, which usually isn't a big deal. He's kind of annoying cause he has ADD really bad doesn't think before he speaks. That and he likes to sort of belittle women. Anyway, he calls almost everyday, almost stalkerish. He was starting to creep me out a little. Here's where the weird part comes in. I don't know if he's actually into me or my hubby. I saw him today at work and he told me he was going to "steal" my hubby for a weekend to go camping. I told him yeah right. How come he gets to do all the fun things while I have to sit at home. Of course he says it would be weird if he told hubby he was "stealing" me for a weekend. Hmmmm, maybe he's looking for a 3-some :eek: Not on his life, he's gross.

Eh, I'm pretty sure I could be doing better. It's just hard with all my obligations. I'm probably going to be taking an hour walk with the kids later too. Get some mild cardio in.

Amy, I am trying to bring in a crowd, not scare them away :D I think you are doing a great job on the log so far. Just make sure to keep it up cause 6 wks is a long time. Maybe come up with your own twist to keep people entertained. Mine is funny stuff and sexual innuendos.

On another note (back to log) I am pretty sore today. Goes to show what happens when you take too much time off. Glad it's lower body today. Hopefully I'll get my workout in cause my little girl is sick. I was up all night with her and I am so tired. It's always so bad when your kids get sick and there's not a whole lot you can do for them. You feel so helpless. I'm off from work today, so I have more time on my hands for now. Can't ya tell? My plan is to do some weighted squats, lunges, leg extension, ect...blah, blah....

Diet?

I'm not sure if you consider this an increase in appetite or not. When I get hungry I feel like I am starving, but once I start eating I fill up quick. Didn't eat a whole lot today. Grits for breakfast, skipped lunch :eek: cause I didn't wake up until late for the second time. I got up at 7 am to take the kids to school, but fell back to sleep around 8:30 until 10am. Daughter was up all night sick and crying so I only got a couple hours sleep. Dinner was salad and grilled BBQ chicken. I cooked it myself and it was mighty tasty.


Exercise?

I did work out a little, but it was weak. I just did not have the energy or will to do too much.

Weighted Squats: bar + 40lbs-12,10,8
Plie' Squats:love these a lot
Some inner and outer thigh exercises I learned on TV
Lunges-didn't count but did a lot
AB work-focusing on lower abs cause mine suck

That's about it. Hard to do a lot on little sleep. No cardio cause I can't do that with no energy. Not too worried being as cals were way down.


Body Heat?

Nothing outstanding. I think it might be time to up the dose to a full pill.

Appetite Suppression?

See above. Could be the Dialene is helping although it's a little too early to know for sure I think.

Mood?


Nothing different, just hella tired.

New News

Well, the winds of change are hitting my house today. My hubby just got hired on for a new job. Good thing is he'll be making 3-4 times what he is making now and doing something he'll enjoy more. Bad news is that he'll be gone from Mon-Fri every week through August. Not going to be too much of a change for us cause I barely see him through the week anyway. I work 1st shift, come home, and he leaves for 2nd shift. However, it'll be hard on him cause he's usually home with our daughter and he won't be seeing her until the weekend. That's going to be hard on him and her. Also, unless I can find suitable and affordable daycare I will have to quit my job. It's a crap job anyway so it doesn't really matter, but I enjoy working and getting out of the house. I go nuts if I have to be home all the time everyday. My boss won't be too happy about it. Financially though we would be stupid to pass up the opportunity, so we have to do what we have to do.

Keep it up, I know how stressful it is to have your little one be sick and there is nothing you can do to fix it. But just being her mommy and giving her love helps a lot. Yeah, it's hard when they are sick. She's doing better now though. I hate to say it, but when ever my niece and nephew come over my daughter always gets sick. They almost always have a cold and she likes to kiss my niece. She's a good girl when she's sick though. She slept a lot better last night which was nice.

Yeah it's good news for us, but my hubby is kind of having a hard time thinking about being gone. We used to be military and he was gone for 8 months after our daughter was born and that was really hard. He swore he would never be away from home again. But this is an excellent opportunity for us to become more financially stable. Plus, they do work closer to home a lot so it's possible after this job is done in Aug that he'll be home every night then. He just hates having to be away from our lil girl since he is home with her everyday. My job really sucks so I'm not really sad about having to quit, but I do like to work so I'll just probably find something that pays better so that it would make sense paying for daycare. Right now with what I make all my check would more than likely go to daycare expenses, especially when the boys are out of school. Three in daycare is expensive.

It's where you turn your feet out, have a wide stance, and squat down. They work the inner thighs and feel "oh so good". Plie' is actually a move from ballet, except they usually go all the way down to the floor.

Still doing good on diet. Haven't noticed increased appetite a whole lot. Comes in spurts. Had a roastbeef and tomato sandwich for breakfast/lunch and PWO shake so far. Dinner, IDK yet.

Ok, so today I actually feel like I worked out hard.

Deadlifts: (Thanks to Kurt) bar + 50-8,8,8
First time ever doing these. I made sure to keep my form correct. That's one of my problems with free weights. If I don't concentrate my form can be bad, but with something that works the back so much I did not want to mess that up. Can't wait to see how sore I am tomorrow being as I am still sore from two days ago.
Standing Bicep curls: bar + 30-12,10,8
Seated cable rows-weight? 12,10,8-this was my last exercise and I was fatiguing bad.
Lat cable pulldowns-weight? 12,10,8
Triceps: weight? 12,10,8

That's all folks. No cardio today. 40 min workout. I needed longer rest times than usual. I do need to get some gloves cause that bar is giving me blisters.


Body Heat?

Increased body heat bad today. Even before my workout started I felt hot. My skin actually felt hot to the touch. Once my workout got underway the sweat started pouring. My pants were actually sticking to my legs :eek:

Appetite Suppression?

Don't know why, but my appetite is really stable and I'm probably not eating enough as it is. I just can't seem to put a lot of cals down lately. *shrugs*

Mood?

Eh, I was highly annoyed with people at work today. Don't know why but they were definitely rubbing me the wrong way and I wanted to hurt them. It's almost like I am wound a little too tight lately. I have been really tired lately so maybe that has something to do with it. Do the Tabs make you feel tired or is it just me?

I think today is going to be an "OFF" day. I have to work 4 hrs today for someone from 11-3 so that kind of sucks. Then I guess we are having a bunch of people over after that, so I have to play nice little hostess.

I don't feel really sore today, just a little. My triceps and legs are feeling sore the most.

Ok, yesterday and last night sucked. I know the humidity had a lot to do with it, but damn I was on fire. I didn't get a wink of sleep until almost 4 am. I tossed and turned cause I was so hot. Finally around 3:30 I came downstairs and stuck my head under the faucet with cold water. That cooled me off enough to go to sleep, but damn am I tired. I wanted to sleep in more, but I can't trust my boys to stay out of trouble. Another night like that and I am getting my air conditioner. Have a nice weekend everyone!

Still doing good on eating healthy and below maintanence. Not sure if I will actually start carb cycling or not cause what I am doing seems to be working for me for now.

Exercise?

Yesterday was an off day. Today I plan on doing lower body. Boys and hubby are going fishing after I get off work so I'll have the house to myself. The rest yesterday helped cause I was still pretty sore in my legs. Will update later about the workout.

Still feeling the increased body heat effects. Nothing too bad though.

Appetite is stable and I have not cheated or binged at all, which is abnormal for me on a diet.

Well, even though I was going to do my weigh in on Monday I just couldn't resist. I am down to 145, that's a little over 3 lb loss. I did think I was carrying some extra water weight, so I am assuming that's part of it. Even so I am extremely happy about this first week loss.

I actually liked them a lot. The hardest thing is making sure my form is correct. I don't want to throw out my back. I plan on doing them today actually. My back area is weak to me and lacks a lot of definition so if these help with that I will keep them up.

Hell Yeah, that's why two night ago I didn't get to sleep until 4 am. Around 3:30 I went downstairs and put my head under the cold water faucet. Granted it is more humid too. We are putting my air conditioner in today :)

I do like them and I'm really glad I am now incorporating them into my workouts. Hopefully they help with my weak back. If you have any easy shoulder exercises let me know. Mine are really weak and I rarely do anything for them cause whenever I do shoulder workouts my right one pops and grinds. By easy, I mean easy on them.

OFF DAY

I meant to do upper body today, but I am just too damn tired. I only got about 4 hrs sleep last night and honestly I can't find the energy to get my butt out of this chair. I tried to find the motivation, but I was seriously lacking. So, with (hopefully) a good nights rest I plan on doing full body tomorrow to make up for it. That'll give my legs a day rest and upper two days rest. I should be good to go then. My inner thighs are quite sore which I think has to do with the fact that I was sitting deeper in my squats. Oooh, hopefully my thighs begin to tone and my BUTTOCKS get a little more perky ;)

I was freakin hot at work today. Now I am cold here at home. It's been raining all day and is 58 degrees so I am a little chilled.

Geez Man, you slave driver....lol. Actually, I am doing something. I am trying to finish putting the new tiles on my kitchen floor. I am sick of looking at it half done :mad: I can't do it all of course but I am doing some where hubby left off. I am in the process of doing under the stove which includes moving it. Well Im sure you will get some great results especially with your diet being in check. Extra cardio always seems hard to fit in but you just have to find some little thing to do example..go for a walk with your family, damn even housework can be cardio..sounds like you may have already incorporated that with your floor tiles!

I already look like I am losing some extra baggage. I feel leaner, so as long as I stick with it I think I will see some great progress. A lot of people don't realize how hard it is finding time to workout when you have three kids to take care of. If I could actually workout at a gym I think I would be closer to my goal, but you have to work with what you've got. With three kids I am always cleaning. Even though I am at home I'm always moving around thanks to my almost three yr old. I hate cardio so much. I get winded so easily do to the asthma, so that's why I hate it. I am going to try and step it up a little cause I know it'll help me lose fat faster. .

The deadlifts are actually fun. I'm not looking to lift tons of weight though. I'm not here to set any records, just tone up. He is a monster for sure, but really nice and helpful.

Thanks, I try to keep it entertaining, cause even though people may be interested in my progress the same old stuff gets redundant and boring. Got to spice things up to keep people coming back. Well, I am actually in the middle of my workout. I'm doing full body so I needed a little rest. A lot of work to do the whole thing. Thanks for stopping by again. Update after I finish.

Well, besides being tired energy is feeling ok. I now officially have a blister under my ring finger from deads ;) I woke up this morning with a stiff neck. I think I slept wrong cause I was feeling fine all day yesterday. Hopefully lifting doesn't make it worse.

Thanks. I really wish I could go to a gym to get a better all around workout, but I don't think I am doing too bad. I am going to get some next time I'm at the store. I think it would help my grip too.

I already look like I am losing some extra baggage. I feel leaner, so as long as I stick with it I think I will see some great progress. A lot of people don't realize how hard it is finding time to workout when you have three kids to take care of. If I could actually workout at a gym I think I would be closer to my goal, but you have to work with what you've got. With three kids I am always cleaning. Even though I am at home I'm always moving around thanks to my almost three yr old. I hate cardio so much. I get winded so easily do to the asthma, so that's why I hate it. I am going to try and step it up a little cause I know it'll help me lose fat faster. .

The deadlifts are actually fun. I'm not looking to lift tons of weight though. I'm not here to set any records, just tone up. He is a monster for sure, but really nice and helpful.

Thanks, I try to keep it entertaining, cause even though people may be interested in my progress the same old stuff gets redundant and boring. Got to spice things up to keep people coming back. Well, I am actually in the middle of my workout. I'm doing full body so I needed a little rest. A lot of work to do the whole thing. Thanks for stopping by again. Update after I finish.

Yep, by improving your grip, you will be able to move more weight. Moving more weight will help you get stronger and build more LBM (thats if diet is good). In return, more LBM will burn more calories. More calories burned = more fat burned...

So see ..... adding gloves will make you lose more weight......in a sense. :)

Side note: I was really tired today so I took a nap with my daughter. Lack of good night's sleep is catching up with me. I did sweat my butt off while sleeping too. I'm glad I got my workout in earlier cause I don't think I would have had the energy or motivation to do it later like I usually do. This is good cause that would have been two missed days and we can't be having that. Hubby is grilling pork. Yummmmmy :)

Quick update. While at work I happened to break my back right molar. It just crumbled. I had a gum infection a couple weeks ago, but that went away. I think it might have gotten into my molar and weakened it. I was only chewing gum when it broke. I have an appt tomorrow, so hopefully they pull it. I'm a new patient so they might just do a checkup and make me come back another day :mad: I tried eating something, but it was a no-go, so not sure if I'll be able to eat for the next couple days :( Also, today is going to have to be an off day cause here in a little bit I have to go babysit my niece for a couple hours. My nephew is starting Kindergarten and they have meeting with the teacher. Not sure if I'll be able to get one in tomorrow either with the appt. I hate when things get messed up cause I was on a nice little groove.

God, Im so sorry to hear that. You might want to try to sip on protein shakes to get you through if you are unable to eat solid foods. Hope you get to feeling better soon.

Well, I am back from the Dentist. Good news is they didn't have to pull it. They just filled it in. Bad new is I need another 5 fillings and a more than likely root canal :eek: All my molars are F'ked, I guess from not flossing. Hell, I can hardly reach back there to floss anyway. I guess that is what happens when you don't visit the dentist for 4 yrs. Yeah, I know....stupid. I just hate the dentist. Now I hate them even more after today. My whole right side is f'n numb and I can tell I am going to be sore. Funny thing is she had to numb me three times. After the second time she started drilling and I could still feel it. So, that's that. I might just have her pull the tooth that needs a root canal instead. I'm sure that would be less painful. I'm debating on working out right now cause my daughter is sleeping and hubby and the boys are fishing. Not sure cause I am in a pissy mood and starving to death. On a better note I did buy my gloves today, so I am good to go on lifting now :)

I wasn't going to, but said screw it. I definitely felt the lack of strength and energy, but I did the best I could.

Deadlifts: bar + 60-8,8,8
Standing Bicep curls: bar + 20-12,10,8
Seated cable rows: 60-15,12
Lat Cable Pulldowns: 60- 12,10,8
Lying Lat Pulldown: weight?, 10,8

Not much, but better than nothing I guess.


Body Heat?

Noticed increased body heat earlier today at my last day of work. It's cold in my house cause we had a cold front for a few days, so I am chilled. It feels like I am warm on the inside and cold on the out if that makes sense. I think the Tabs do make me more sensitive to colder temps.

Appetite?

F'N Starving!!!! :mad: I don't think it has to do with the Tabs. I just haven't eaten any solid food in two days.

Diet?

HAHAHA, what diet? Currently on the "I am a anorexic A-hole" diet and hating it. I will be able to eat (hopefully) once the numbness goes away. Should be ok in a couple hours I'm hoping. Already starting to feel the pins and needles hotness (which is highly annoying :mad: I am sipping a protein shake right now. I usually make them with H2O, but since I haven't been eating I made it with 1% milk.

Other?

Well, as of today I am officially unemployed and a stay at home mom again. Kind of weird. Going to go nuts this summer ;) This just gives me more time to get my HotNess back.

Weight?

Now I just weighed in a less than a week ago, but I feel it is significant enough to mention. Granted it probably has a lot to do with my diet the last two days. I am down another 3 lbs. We'll see if it sticks in the next couple days. So that brings me down to 142. Even though I didn't do it the best way, I am really hoping it sticks. 130's here I come baby!!!

All I had was a BBQ pork rib. It was so hot here yesterday and I can't eat a lot when I'm really hot. Anyway, I decided to have a couple drinks. I'm not really a drinker anymore. I drank heavily before I was legally supposed to drink and except for a couple drinks one other time, I hadn't drank since Nov '05. Well, between the heat, not eating a lot, I got a little twisted....lol. Not exactly diet friendly, but a girl has to let loose once in awhile. It was fun.

I don't mind the body heat aspect, except when it's really hot outside or at night. Last night I woke up with night sweats, but it wasn't bad enough that I couldn't go back to sleep. Usually I don't sweat a lot, even when working out. So this is a little different for me. As long as that means it's working it's fine by me.

Holy Crap!!! I just spent the last almost 7 hours trying to fix my computer. It was infected with a virus, maybe two. For some reason two programs installed on my computer acting like a virus protection program. I did not install these at all. One I thought was from my internet provider. They both claimed I had all these viruses on my comp and if I registered they would wipe them out. Of course I didn't do that, but my computer was so messed up. Actually one of them was saying the other was a dangerous virus. Yeah no ****. I had virus protection on my comp, but I guess it wasn't good enough. I ran to the store and got a new one. I think maybe everything is ok now, at least I hope. This is the first time this has ever happened, but luckily I am pretty good a comp stuff. This has been the most irritating day.

I did do 20 min of cardio on my elliptical. I know....shocking right. Didn't get to lifting, but I think I am going to do it after the kids go to bed. I really feel like working out some stress and tension.

Well, I think I have my comp fixed, although it is still a little slow. That was the biggest PITA ever. Now I have it locked down like virgin before her wedding night. Yesterday I planned on lifting after the kids went to bed. Well, sadly I fell asleep putting my daughter to bed. I must have been more tired than I thought. Well, I think I have my comp fixed, although it is still a little slow. That was the biggest PITA ever. Now I have it locked down like virgin before her wedding night. Yesterday I planned on lifting after the kids went to bed. Well, sadly I fell asleep putting my daughter to bed. I must have been more tired than I thought. Yeah it was a pain. I still can't load my pics and it's pissing me off. I actually look a little hott in them. I'm hoping it's the adaptor and not the camera itself. I can get a new adaptor, but I just got this camera not too long ago. Everything else works fine.

Ok, that was a little off :confused: Since hubby has been gone she thinks she can sleep in my bed. I decided to take a walk with the daughter in her stroller downtown. Whole walk was an hour long. We went the longer way, and even stopped two places. I got home in the same amount of time cause the last part was power walking with some running cause a thunderstorm is about to hit anytime. It started sprinkling a little and I didn't want my baby to get soaked. I was sweating like a whore in church....lol.

I'm thinking that for me less mass and more volume would be better, but not sure if this is the way to go. I have a good amount of muscle mass as it is, so I want to just tighten it and tone. My legs are pretty muscular, but I hate that they are too big. I want some tight and slim thighs. Opinions? Also, what would be a good amount of reps to shoot for? I want to get some feedback before my workout.

I would not lower the amount of weight lifted to increase reps...If you wanted maybe you could stop raising the weights for a while and remain where you are but I do not really see too much point in that.

I understand that you want to tone and not neccasarily gain more muscle mass but lean muscle is quite hard to gain, so i dont think that should be too much of a problem. Since you are cutting I would think by continueing your current weight lifting program and watching your calorie intake you should be dropping BF and that should visually give the effect of being "toned".

Body Heat?

Second time today I have sweated like a guilty man in a donut shop. This is probably the most body heat I have felt, but it's also the hardest workout I have done I think.

Appetite?

Increase in appetite occurs once in awhile out of the blue, but I find if I still eat correctly I still feel full afterwards. As long as I keep myself in check during those times everything is fine. Still well below maintanence.

Other?

I am wondering if by taking Tabs and how they raise your BMR does this make you feel more tired? I seem to feel a little more tired than usual since taking these.

So I got a little surprise visitor last night. My Hubby. Some of the guys decided to come home for the night and of course he did too. Nice surprise to say the least since he wasn't supposed to be home until Friday. Well, the nice surprise turned into pure irritation. Now, I don't want to sound like a biotch or anything. I know he is still getting used to the job and the new hours. Got to be hard going from 2nd shift to first. What was irritating was teh fact that he was only here for an hour before he fell asleep on the couch. He woke up 1.5 hrs later just to go upstairs to bed. Grrrr, why even come home? I mean it was a nice thought and I know he missed everyone, but I guess to me it wasn't worth it. ANyway, not like I am going to tell him that. Just had to rant here, not that anyone cares ;)

Not sure what is in store today for my workout. Boys get out of school early. Should be here by noon. Can't go for a walk cause it's supposed to rain any time. I think I might focus on upper body today cause I feel that it is seriously lacking. Overall today, I am not happy with my body and feel like a complete fat ass. This has been the longest struggle ever and I wish it was over, but whatever. I'll just keep on truckin'.

I know what you mean about not getting sore. I have read many times that soreness is not a great indicator of an effective workout, but for me it is. If I don't feel soreness, or at least a little tightness in the muscle the next day, I feel like something isn't right. I chase the soreness.
Maybe you could try to do different things with your rest intervals. If you normally rest 2 minutes between sets, try to do the same workout on 1 minute rest. If you normally rest 1 minute, try to up your weights and rest 2 or 3 minutes.
Usually this is all I need to bring back the soreness for a few weeks.
Of course there are muscle groups that I can't seem to get sore no matter what I do. Delts, Biceps, and upper back almost never get sore on me.

thats the whole key to progressive resistence training(imo). My workouts are never the same week to week. seeing as your limited to what equipment you have, just change up the order of how you do them. say for chest you do flat bench, incline bench, flyes and pushups. (or something along that line) Just switch up the order that you'd do them next time: incline, flat, pushups, flyes. Or you could superset all of the same muscle exercises together i.e. flat, incline, flyes, pushups. that would all be one set, wait your 30seconds or however long you wait and hit it again. I started out in my basement so I know how you feel. Your only limited by what your mind can come up with.

That's sort of what I did last workout. I lightened the weights just a little and added more reps. At the time my muscles felt the tightest they have in awhile, so I think I did something right. Although the only thing I feel some soreness in is my calves and biceps. I don't know, sometimes I just get ansy and doubt myself. Thanks for your input though.

since I started taking sizeon I haven't been really sore. I've been lifting heavier and doing more sets but just a little soreness. Oh well, just keep swithcing your workouts up to keep the muscles guessing, and you'll be fine.

Only one interuption around 3 am when hubby got ready to leave. Maybe it's caffeine withdrawal? I haven't had coffee since I quit working last week. I hate making it at home. It doesn't taste the same.

Decided to do a little more today. I think legs got a great workout today. Back and inner thighs already feeling a little sore. Almost feels like I have buns of steel today :D

No more weight loss yet, although I do feel like I have toned up a bit, mostly in the leg and arm areas. I might get out the calipers and try and give it a try, although I've read that it's hard to do on yourself accurately. I just wish fat loss would happen in my stomach more, but that is my worst area and I know it will take time and lots of effort. Trying my best and will continue on this path.

That's why I love doing logs, even though this is only my 2nd one. It keeps me motivated and accountable. If the 6 wk is up and I haven't improved then I know I haven't done my best. Well, I think I did something right yesterday cause I am sore, not so sore I can't move around or anything, but enough to know I worked myself hard. I was stir crazy all day yesterday and initially had a hard time falling asleep. I still can't load my pics and it's pissing me off. I even got a nice new haircut, but can't show it off :rolleyes: I will be working out again today, hopefully as hard as yesterday. Saturday is going to be my planned day off cause we have a family reunion to go to. I'm going to eat as good as I can cause I will not mess up all my hard work this week. Weekends are normally hard to get in my workouts since everyone is home and usually there are other things I have to do, like working on the house. So, I will make these next two days really count. I have a new goal for this 6 wk log. It's going to be a hard one to pull off, but I'll try like hell. I'm going to forget about losing a certain amount of weight. I want to be able to get into a bikini and not be embarrassed. Right now you wouldn't catch me dead in one. I have a hard time just wearing shorts. Stupid maybe, but that's just how it is. So, that is what I am going to work on and if I succeed my final pics will be bikini shots :eek: Wish me luck.

Not as intense as yesterday. Really feeling the DOMS in legs and arms. Also, lack of energy issues today for some reason. I wanted to go for a hr walk with the kiddos but my demon son decided to have an all out fit and freak out, so that put the cabosh on that. Very irritated to say the least.

Still not feeling it like before. Actually feeling chilled a lot, but the weather has been mild with rain. I hope I am not getting used to them this soon in the game.

Appetite & Diet?

Still on track. Lots of protein with some carbs and fats. Eating lots of raisin bran and chicken. Trying to eat kind of the same thing everyday so that I don't deviate too much and mess up. Most of my carbs are consisting of fruits. Averaging between 1000-1400 cals a day.

With regret I cannot do any links for right now. I am having major issues with my computer, so much so that I really want to throw it out the window at times. Might have to get a new one :( It is 5 yrs old, but that virus thing has really messed it up even though it's supposedly clean now. I owe ya.

Who's this Zach character? Don't see him around here much ;) I've only been taking two per Des's instructions. Maybe you can change the time you take them. I read somewhere, I think maybe in your log, on how someone takes their regular thyroid meds at night. If it makes you tired all day long them it would make sense to take them later in the day when you will be almost ready for bed. Just a thought.

Just got back from my son's field day. It was cute and he did really well. He's pretty tough on the tug-o-war part. I have a headache now though, ugh. Gonna try and lift today, but I have a lot of stuff to do around the house. I'm going to mow the lawn so hubby doesn't have to. We'll see how the day goes.

I had a few people comment that it looked like I had lost weight. Weird cause I really haven't lost that much. It's cool though that they noticed a difference.

Saturday I mentioned I had a family reunion to go to. Diet wasn't that bad considering the huge buffet of food present. I had a burger, lots of fruit and veggies, and this cream cheese roll thing. I did break down and inhale a brownie, other than that pretty good. Today, diet wise it's been a little off. So much going on so I didn't plan well, but have stuck with raisin bran for breakfast, turkey sandwhich for lunch w/small bag of chips. Yeah, not good. I'll work harder tomorrow and thereafter. Did feel an increase in appetite today, almost like I couldn't get full. Glad that isn't an everyday occurance.

Other?

So, feeling a little off kilter this past weekend. It's was horrible, all the crap that was going on. Things are better now, but some stuff is still up in the air. My temper was on fullblast. Anyway, should be back into the routine now. My comp isn't doing too good either. Thinking I am going to have to get another, so if I happen to disappear for a few days that's probably what is going on. It's 5 yrs old or so and I think it's on it's last leg. That is all for now.

No, what I was meaning is that someone very close to me pissed me off badly. I'm fairly easy going most of the time, but some people really know how to set me off. Well things are still horrible around here. It really sucks cause I thought things were looking up. I wasn't going to get into it, but here's the short of it all. I said how husband got a new job that paid awesome and I had to quit mine to stay home with the kids. Well after one week of it, he decides he doesn't want to do it anymore. He has all these excuses why, but what it really boils down to is that he doesn't want to be gone from home all week, which is sweet, but now we're both unemployed and he refuses to go back even though the pay is awesome. I even asked if he could just do it for three more weeks cause the pay he would get is about 4-5 months worth of the last job in just 3 wks. He refuses and now he is almost forcing me to get a job. I have an interview Friday and if hired will start July 9th. It's $3 more than my old job and 4 10 hr days, which is great, but now we'll have to pay for daycare when he gets a new job. After paying that I'll be working for $125 a week. See why I am so pissed? And he is blaming me for it all, acting like I don't care, all I want is the money (I am so not like that), I don't care that he has to be away.....blah, blah, blah. What I care about is the fact that he quit his old job and I had to quit mine for this job that he only did for a week. And now we'll have to pay for daycare for 3 kids when before we didn't have to. Even though I will be making more I'll be getting less cause of daycare expenses. Anyway, there's a lot more to it than that (dirty accusations, blame, ect) but that's the gist of it. Overall, my life and family relations are sucking pretty bad.

I guess you can wish me luck for the job. I'm pretty sure I'll get it since it's a lot like what I used to do for 2.5 yrs.

I'm going to try and stick with my routine and stuff, but once this job starts it's going to be hard cause I'll be stuck behind a desk for 40 hrs a week. That and family won't leave me a lot of time for myself. :(

Sorry, I've just been really sensitive lately with all that's going on. It's hard when things seem to be falling into place for the better only to crash and fail. That and I don't do well when fighting with the spouse. I don't like fighting.

Not sure where that is coming from, but don't worry about it. I don't like airing my "dirty laundry" on a public forum, but since I am doing a sponsored log I feel that I have to offer some explanation for my lack of updates. Plus, it lets me get out some frustration cause it's been really hard talking to my other half about everything. Anyway, don't worry. I'm sure things will get better soon. They always do.

I didn't get around to updating yesterday, so here it is. I was able to get in a little workout. The kids were napping on the couch. Mostly lower body.

Body Heat?

Was pretty high yesterday. I thought I was getting a fever cause my skin felt so warm.

Appetite & Diet?

Diet hasn't been the greatest lately. Stress makes me do one of two things. Either not eat at all or eat comfort foods, which are never that healthy. I know I have to keep it clean if I want to lose this stubborn fat. I'm thinking of trying out the female version of the Cut Diet. Being as I am already used to lower cals I don't think it would be that hard for me to follow.

Other?

There may or may not be something new happening a little later on down the road. I have a lot of thinking to do, but if it happens will be one of the biggest changes in my life. We'll see how it all pans out.

Hey girl, so sorry things have been so stressed for you! What you are facing is what my life is like now. I sit behind a desk for 40 hours a week, my commute to my job is 40 minutes each way. So for me to get up and workout in the morning and get to my job on time, I have to be at the gym at 5am! :eek: I have my 3 yr old son, and his 17 year old daughter that lives with us. So I get it from both ends! And we have the daycare expense every week. For what we pay for daycare a month we could rent a one bedroom apartment! lol

Really it boils down to you think you are going one direction, and that you are both working towards the same things. And that you do what you have to do for the family, And then he didnt live up to his end of the bargain. I know it makes you question your future. And not being able to put your trust and faith in him. I hate uncertainity in my life, and fighting with the one you love. It totally sucks. I am here if you need to talk!

I got that job. They called me back the same day as my interview, so they must of liked me. I don't start until the 9th, then it's 3 weeks of training. After that I move to 4-10hr days w/3 days off. Not too bad and if hubby finds a job that conflicts with that, we only have to pay for daycare for three days instead of five, so not too bad.

On another note, I am considering going into the Air National Guard. I've wanted to go military since I was 15 and I think I will regret it if I don't do it. I was thinking of going active Air Force, but hubby told me this would be better for me right now. If it happens, I'll be doing it in January. Another reason (big one to me) to get into great shape, cause I don't want to struggle more than I have to during boot camp. Plus, when I want to accomplish something I want to do the very best I can. Probably not what a lot were expecting to hear...lol.

Well, I was wanting to go full time, but this way I can get boot camp and tech school out of the way and come home and if a little later down the road if I want I can go full time active. Right now it makes more sense since we just bought a house. We plan on selling in a year or two after we finish fixing it up. Tell her one thing about marines...."Muscles are Required, Intelligence Not Essential"....lol.

Aww, thanks so much. I love the support I get on here. More than likely I will be doing it. I just want it planned so that I go in January. That way it isn't too hot in Texas and I don't miss any important dates with my kids. I think I will love it and make me a lot happier about myself and feeling like I am doing something worth while.

Took an hour or so walk with my daughter downtown in her stroller. Nice pace and sweat going on. It was hot.

Probably, maybe, might be an off day for lifting. Husband and boys are with some of his friends fishing at the dam and then we'll be having a cook out. Had a few drinks last night. Can't drink today since I have a piss test tomorrow morning for my job.

So, my husband has this friend (I've mentioned him before) and he's a little off in the head, meaning he's an idiot and has bad ADD. Pretty much he's a kid in a 25 yr old body. Husband is actually close to kicking his butt cause he just doesn't think before he acts. EX, one day he was playing with my younger son and had him in a headlock. He was telling my son to tap, but the way he was holding him he couldn't. He made my son cry and I saw red. Well, I let my son get him back by dumping ice water on him and hitting him with an egg. This might sound weird, but I am into UFC a lot and like doing moves on people. He's been over the last couple days and I have choked him out twice and brought him to the ground. Granted my hubby won't let him hurt me back, but he still fights and tries to get out of the chokehold. LOL....what a p*ssy. I love it. Every time he messes up I'm going to hurt him a little more. He's a lot taller than me but really skinny. Somewhere around 140-150. Thought I would share cause it's really funny. Wish I could get it on video.

I really don't get that either! On one of the links you posted a while ago, there was a video of these girls getting in a fight at the beach. The caption was like HUGE GIRL FIGHT! So of course I had to check it and I was like what the hell is this? You call this a fight?

Wrestling is great though, I love to wrestle with my fiance. ;)
