Believe it or not, but heavy deads were the best thing for my back at the beginning, both strength and size came with them. Now I do two different back days, one for lat width and the other concentrating on heavy rowing exercises for middle/lower back. Make sure you stretch your back between every set and incorporate lat spreads too, that way you are filling the stretched muscle with blood. Good luck.

he's going to need to double time it, increase the amount of cardio, i suggest sprints, get rid of that water by lowering his amount of sodium a bit and drink alot more water, healthy fats...but to be 9 weeks out he is off a bit

Unless he is using AAS, he is going to lose alot of muscle my putting all that dieting into 9 weeks. It can be done, yes, he can get lean, but at what cost.

If it were me id schedule it for a show that is about 4-5 months from the date I took the pic

Im loosin weight quick..lol have faith. I've got a crew of 2 amatuer (Don Allarde, the old amatuer bodybuilder of the week) and 1 retired pro bodybuilder around me supporting me. I'm down 13 lbs from last week. I'm doin HIIT for cardio and its literally STRIPPING BODYFAT. I do it 2x a day. I have high and low carb days and I'm 5 lbs lighter than when i took that pic 2 days ago. When I diet and do cardio hardcore I loose weight fast.

Plus I eat like a freakin nun. Im talking tuna and chicken breast PLAIN. Sweet potatoes and brown rice. Carrot sticks and broccoli. So I'm actually really happy with my progress as I was very worried as well that I wasn't going to come in good shape. But this really is only a contest to get my feet wet as far as posing, being on stage and working out the nerves. I have my real sights set on competing in the Muscle Beach,Gold's Classic, and then East Coast Bodybuilding championships(national qualifier). At the Xcalibur.. I have only one other guy I'm competing against so its again just to get my feet wet w. dieting, dedication and nerves. But I appreciate your concern and thank you all so much for your advice

oh and thats not water weight I've lost. I weigh my self at 4:30 a.m. every mornign before I eat my preworkout meal and head to the gym at 5a.m. I have my Cell phone set to go off at 11:30...1:30 and 3:30 and wehn I wake up I go to the bathroom if I have to and I will drink one of my 4 16 oz bottles of water I keep on my night table. I am very strict with nutrition.

as far as loosing muscle mass,my strenght still is increasing on a weekly to basis on the majority of my exercises as I believe it is important to increase poundages 5lbs a week and if you can't anymore your body has adapted to the exercise and its time to change. Being 16 years old my metabolism is like a fire so literally I have to eat anything and everything to bulk...literally dude..if you would like i can send you my offseason gorging..i mean "diet"..lol

dont doubt you, just that by pics it seems that your a bit behind in your timing, i think that you have the tools to be a damn good bodybuilder, wish i wouldve started when i was 16, who knows were i would be at now..either way no matter how you look come showtime, compete and keep competing you can only get better from here

thank you for the faith and the vote of confidence...it means a lot coming from someone with such a phenominal physique. Its good to see someone who supports instead of criticizes on here...
