I was feelin super pumped one day it was a monday- chest, shoulders, anyways I did my regular warmup on the lifecycle then headed for the flat bench to start my chest workout so I start 135lbs -10 easy reps, feelin unusually warm and full of energy, i rest 30-60 seconds 135lbs- 10 easy reps hummmm so I go to 205lbs - 8 easy reps, next up 225lbs no real big deal right well something just came over me that said pump this weight till you can't lift it no more and I did so 5- reps.... 10...reps....15..... not done yet 20 .......25..... feeling good....30 what the **** plates are clangin like crazy........35.... yep 35.....40....the gym is at a stand still....45...hittin failure soon...48....50....51...maybe 2 more..52.one more 53....try for one more....never got it aw well yep 53 REPS!!!! it was crazy because I never ever tried it I just had a huge burst of strength don't know where it came from just happened , still baffles me to this day.

mine was when i broke my HS squat record of 600lbs, i squated 610 in my junior year to senior year pre-summer testing, i was gonna go for more, but seeing as it was pre season, coach made me stop.

Also to comment on that power clean record, for 165 and under the powerclean record was 245 at the time, so 210 is good if you are under 165, but other then that, pretty avg.

A friend of mine was squatting in weight training and our teacher came up and started to spot him. The thing was she was a former fitness model so she looks VERY nice. He does a few reps realizes it and just freezes. Teacher is like whats going? He's like ah nothing, racks it pulls his shirt down and runs outta the room. I guess he got a real RISE from her......

I'am currently tied for the powerclean record at my school of 265lbs..I'am sure i can clean 275 or even 280 just the fact that its a waste of time maxing on it. Greatest weightroom moment was when i finally broke the at 1300 total. I just did it last friday so i was pretty happy. Here are the break downs of the lifts 350bp/485sq/500dl.

next up 225lbs no real big deal right well something just came over me that said pump this weight till you can't lift it no more and I did so 5- reps....

Dude, I find that very hard to believe. In the football combine some of the biggest and strongest do reps of 225lbs for maybe 25, if they are lucky. There is no way in hell you got on a bench and did 53 reps of 225lbs. You are ****ing crazy. Unless you are some sort of combination of Erik Williams of the Cowboys, Reggie White and Tony Mandarich. You should probably think before you speak. Maybe you meant you benched the bar w/ 25's on each end, which would be 95 lbs. I'm not sure you even know what the **** you are talking about!

This story is quite funny he warmed up with 135lbs to get ready to bench 225lbs for 53 reps. If this story was true he would be warming up with 225lbs and then be doing a final set of at least 315lbs.

My weight room moment will be next Monday. I'm maxing out next Monday on the bench press to find out how my Westside cycle went. Hopefully it will be in the 380-400 range, which is at least a 40lbs increase for me. Thank goodness for Westside Barbell.
