I have been surfing and bodysurfing for about the past 4 weekends, and I think it is one of the best overall workouts to do. I typically get about 4 hours in the water aggregate, on a 7 hour beach day, and I feel slammed by the end of the day and the next. I've had a noticable difference in body fat since I started incorporating these activities along with weight training and running at the gym. I typically end up eating about 3X as much as normal for about 1.5 days after I get back. I'm gonna continue to do this until it gets too cold to go to the beach again. Just thought I'd share these great activities for those interested.
