My offseason training consists of 6:30 am conditioning 3x a week, which is usually agilities and sprints. I lift 3x a week, alternating between lower and upper body emphasis. Ill do 4 sets of the core lifts and do high intensity drop sets on the more specific exercises. Honestly, I dont like this program and would like to return to my bodybuilding workout. It simply has not been getting me any stronger.

I lift for football year round. My current routine is basically all powerlifting with a rep range of 4-6 reps. I train with Westside Barbell methods mainly, which in my opinion is great for football because it's based on explosion. I haven't started conditioning yet, but I soon will be.

what do you mean by conditioning?do you mean building your stamina?my stamina is terrible, after the first play when I use all my speed,i'm tired throughout the rest of the game.
anyway, for football I do powerlifting and plyometrics.

Yes, I meant stamina. It seems I'm always lacking in that area. I just need to get the heart to start training for that for the next 3 months until season.

I hear you about squatting after doing any sprints or plyos. I have those Strength Shoes from Strength Systems, and I called them and asked if I could squat while I use the shoes, and the said it had to be done on the same day. No way I could get a decent squat workout even 8hrs after my Strength shoe workout. So I scrapped the shoes until 2 months b4 the season. Thats when I will quit squatting (I feel speed is more important for me than squat poundage, I know squat strength helps your speed, but you gain a lot more speed do sprints and plyos)

anyone's school base there program around nebraska's?

lol They should base it around Nebraska. In my opinion, Bigger, Faster, Stronger isn't that great at all. Look at their standards, I find it funny how I beat them all. My school is really poor about training for football, There is only three of us training right now hard (well, I'm the only one training hard to be honest, the others aren't in there nearly as much as I am). But, I would definitely recommend Nebraska's program. The results from the school speak for themselves. I think Bigger, Faster, Stronger works pretty good on a high school level, but I doubt it if it would for college.
