I've recently been doing some research on sesa thin and have a question about the way you incorporate it into your diet.
In a previous post you showed that you cycle it:
Mon/Thurs: 1 serving 7 PM
Tues/Fri: 2 servings 10 AM/7 PM
Wed/Sat/Sun: 3 servings 8 AM/4 PM/10 PM
My first question is why do you cycle? On the product page the recommended dosage is a 1/2 cap 3x daily with meals.
Secondly, your caloric intake is as follows:
Mon/Thurs: High - approx. 3100 cal
Tues/Fri: Med - approx. 2500 cal
Wed/Sat/Sun: Low - approx. 1660 - 2000
Why is it that you take the highest dosage during your low calorie days and vice versa on the high calorie days? I thought it would be more beneficial to take the higher dosages when you are eating more calories. I'm sure you have a good reason, but just some things that I would like to clear up incase i decide to use it.
One last thing, I'm on an ECA stack right now. Is it alright if i throw in the sesa?? And should I take it as recommended? or try to cycle it like yourself?
Thanks for the help,
Megaman

SesaThin causes glycogen depletion, which is very beneficial for fat loss. My high carb days are implemented for glycogen replenishment. In a way, I want Mon/Thur to be anabolic as my upper body is smaller than my lower body.
I don't think there will be a prob with an ECA with SesaThin, but I would check Avant's website to make sure.

derek would you say SesaThin is the best fat-loss aid you have taken so far?
Also is it easy to measure out the half cap full, or do you jsut use a tbsp or something?

1 serving = 1/2 cap = 1/4 teaspoon
SesaThin contains:
"Sesamin is a naturally occurring lignan present in sesame oil. It possesses great potential for decreasing fat mass and in fighting obesity and metabolic syndrome, via its effects on fatty acid oxidation and adipogenic gene expression. And, with research showing very strong correlations between inflammation, oxidative stress, obesity, and metabolic syndrome, sesamin’s anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties could be just as significant, if not more so. Yes, basically it allows you to eat more (specifically carbs) and still lose weight. I lost 3 pounds the first week I used it (@ 3 servings a day). I decreased by serving to what is mentioned above and was losing a steady 1 a week.
Last week I upped my serving back to 3 a day and lost 3 pounds this week. So the only thing I changed was the addition of 4 more servings of SesaThin.

Not really. I am going to wait until Sunday though to answer the question fairly. I am taking the full dosage now, so when I take my bf% this week I can answer better.

is sesathin pure sesamin or does it have other ingredients, such as thermogenics?

Dereck,
Also been hearing mixed reports about loss of libido with it. Any truth to this? And if so I dont understand why

I haven't noticed any. Dieting in general causes a decrease in sex drive. Your body is more concerned with survival than reproduction. So if you are dieting and your body does not think it is getting enough nutrients, it will devert what it can to maintain proper cellular function aka homeostasis.
So if SesaThin can cause glycogen depletion, a dieting state, the body will react accordingly.

Yah thats what I figured. just wondered becuase someone had said it was really really bad and very noticable, perhaps like a prohormone cycle.

Probably because of the difference between chemical grade sesamin and the stuff we eat. Pharmaceutical-grade components are VERY expensive due to purification processes.

Exactly.
If you look moe closely at the research chem site, you'll see a lot of things with exhorbitant prices compared to the commercial material.

And i belive i read somewhere that the sesamine in sesathin is 60% pure. So obviusly something "cleaner" is more expensive.

Derek...I just got my order of SesaLean. I wrote to Loky and am waiting to hear back but I thought I'd post here too since I mentioned you in my e-mail to him.
The packaging doesn't give dosing instructions. What do you recommend? Loky has recommended fish oil and lecithin as part of my supps. because I'm looking to lose fat while gaining LBM.
I'm interpreting from above that you use more on certain days. I'm carb cycling now. What would you suggest as my dosing schedule on different days if that's what you suggest?
I don't mean to bypass Loky on this but I want to start today and I know he just got back from overseas and is probably busy; not that you aren't.
Let me know. Thanks.

Derek, have you noticed looking "flat" on sesathin? If so, how did you combat it?
thanks!

If, you are looking flat, up your good carb intake, and add some creatine to your supplement regimen.

i've noticed sesthin makes me appear really flat at times, but IMO that means it is doing its job and depleting glycogen which is helpful for fatloss. When I start sesathin, i drop a few pouns really quickly. So just deal with the flatness and eventually you're muscles will fill back out when you increae carbs.

There is not set dosing. You just use it like you would normally use flax or olive oil or canola or enova. Put it in your shakes, cook with it, mix with fat free dressings, condiments, and spices..
I expect that most people will use 1-2 tablespoons per day. Some will use more, some may use less.

That'll definately get that 8-Pack you want. And you wont even have to work out either with that great of a stack.
