I want to know if I was to compete in the first week of august 2003, could I compete in a competition a month later [September] and still be good? will I maintain my muscularity? or will it be too much for my body to handle within that 1 month timeframe between competitions.
Curious beginner!

I am doing the same thing right now. I competed 2 weeks ago and I will be competing again in 4. I took a week off of the diet and ate whatever I wanted. I am not sure it is something I will ever do again but we will see how it goes. The diet is getting old, though!

Yea you can do it but it sure isn't any fun. I did the Georgia and southeastern USA in the same year a month apart-- actually I looked better in the second- hardest I'd ever been at that point. But damn it sure wasn't fun peaking eating and peaking again.

I compete every two months. Gives me 8 weeks in between contests to put on muscle and get even more cut up. The more shows that you do, the easier it becomes to get your bodyfat lower.

I know that I get better with each successive show in a season. I always try to do at least 2, but no more than 3. As someone mentioned, the diet gets very old. I won my last show, but didn't really want to hang around and enjoy the fanfare; I just wanted to eat eat eat!!
