Here is my progress thus far:
.......Weight: 200 --> 193 lbs.
...........BF%: 10 --> 7
....Fat Mass: 19.7 --> 13.5 (total - 6.2 pounds)
Lean Mass: 180.3 --> 179.5 (total -0.8 pounds)
I am pleased with the ratio of fat mass to lean mass that I am losing. So for every pound of fat I have loss, I have also loss 0.13 pounds of lean mass (which isn't that bad). If my experiment works over these next two weeks, I should gain (or at least not loss) any lean mass over the 2 weeks. I will say what that experiment is when it is done.
Last year, when I was in my best condition, I had 6.5 pounds of fat. So that means I would have to lose 7 pounds of fat in 9 weeks, which is very doable. I would like to come in a hair tighter than last year, so we will have 8 pounds of fat to be safe. So I need to lose 1 pound of fat each week over the next 8 weeks. I do not want to have to lose any weight during the last week. I want to be ready 1 week before.
More importantly is losing this fat while losing a minimal amount of lean mass. That is the hard part. So far, my diet has served me well and I do not plan on changing it. If I am not losing fat at the pace I need, I will add another cardio session on Saturday, then Wednesday if need be. I would like to keep Sunday exercise free so I do not burn out.
9 Weeks to go!!!
