Hey All,
I need an Olympic Weight Set and Bar. I've been stalking craigslist for a while now and nothing good is coming up. How much did you pay for your Olympic Weights and/or Bar on craiglist? What about ebay?
I've been waiting to pull the trigger because dicks sells it for 109 for 300lb set. I already own a squat rack and bench so I don't need anyone elses stuff but no one wants to separate their gear.

try Kijiji in you're area. i found a 7' olympic bar for $40.00 and a 6 set of dunbells from 55'lbs to 80lbs for $200.00.

thats a pretty good deal. i got something pretty close to that on craigslist. parabody power rack, parabody bench w/ preacher curl, 300lbs set oly weights, and 150lbs standard weights with straight bar, curl bar, triceps bar all for only $250. took me about 2 months searching almost every day in 4 big cities to find a decent deal though
edit: my post was a little off thread topic, and i forgot to add prices i've found for weights. i was looking for a 300 lb olympic set during those few months too. lowest price i found was for $75 (same set you can get at Dick's for $100-$110). Most weights were only being sold with benches.

Same here, I would search everyday on craigslist for about 2 months and finally came across this deal when I had the money.

on garbage day drive around winnetka, alot of people throw away weights. I have gotten tons of barbells and plates and benches and then sold them to idiots for inflated prices. Easy way to make money lol

I have been selling my extra plates on Craig's List for .25 a pound (they are a little rusty) but am selling my old York Roundheads and milled plates for $1.00 a pound.
