Well i have been trying to get dieting advice from my other sites but it seems this place would be the best in that department.
I am currently 48 days out of my first contest. I have competed in powerlifting but it is too hard to powerlift in the summer so I figured I would diet down and do a show. This is what I have come up with so far.
I started dieting 3 weeks ago and in that time I went from 206lbs 12%ft
down to 194 @ 8.5%. I have seven weeks to go I would love to get down to 5%.
Cardio: Right now I am doing cardio 30-40min 4 times a week. I am thinking of increasing this to 6 times a weeks once I get inside 6 weeks. I have been told to do cardio twice a day 6 days a week once I get inside 4 weeks....what you do fellas think?
Diet: I have been eating 300g protein, 250g carbs, and 60g of fat ed. Protein comes from chicken, egg whites, and the occational fish. Carbs are from yams, brown rice, and oatmeat. Fats are from one tbs udo's oil and the rest from MCT fuel. All carbs are in by 6pm, my last meal is at 8pm and I hit the rack at 11pm.
Here is the list of questions.
How do I change the cardio as I get closer to the show?
How do change my diet as I get closer to the show?
When, if at all, do I start to carb deplete?
When, if at all, do I start to carb up?
What do I do with my water intake as the final days approach?
I have been told to slowly pull out my starches and replace them with fiberous veggies and MCT fuel....having all my starches out with 3 weeks to go. What say you fellas.
Sorry about all the questions but I really want to do this right. I don't want to get on stage and have people think that I didn't diet or didn't try. Any other suggestions or tips would be greately appreciated.
